A side salad with only lettuce??? with a few pieces of shredded carrots on top is not a salad. I asked the cashier if they could put other veggies on it and she said no.(They just put them in all the other dishes they’re making, weird.) Shoot I’d pay for them, but nooo.

My favorite teriyaki restaurant to go! Super quick, friendly staff, and clean. Spicy chicken is my one and only with a lot of chicken, rice and salad. It’s kinda hidden and small but I’m sure once you try it, you’ll never stop going.

I love the people here, they are very friendly and always smiling. The place is tiny, but I noticed that most of the orders were take-outs. Their menu has nice selection and they put huge pictures of the food. We ordered 3 Bibimbap and they served it to us pretty fast. This place is like an awesome tiny restaurant fast-food. The prices are affordable and their bibimbap is very tasty. I recommend this place and I will surely come back again when it’s not rush hour because getting out of the parking lot is crazy. Go go go try them!

Tried every teriyaki shop in the area, this one had the best taste, portion size, customer service and price.

Great place to eat when you want something fast but still good. People there are super friendly. I enjoy going there for a quick bite to eat.

A little run down but a charming hole in the wall, good food, friendly, moderate prices. I enjoy going for lunch, the owners are always there and are just so sweet. They really love their customers and their business. Food is good, nothing spectacular but good. Their salad dressing on the other hand is fabulous. The family really makes this business so much better. Hope to see these guys open for a very long time!

Worst customer service I’ve experience. I called in an order, they didn’t take my name, and when I got there they had sold my order to someone else. The lady behind the counter said«you know next time you should really leave a name». I’ll never be going back. I like giving my money to businesses that respect their customers!

Just returned to the office with my lunch. Sorely disappointed. Big chucks of chicken, sloppy presentation. It was all bad.

Last week I ordered the chicken yakisoba plate and was greatly disappointed. It came out soaking in oil and the chicken was water logged and disintegrating. There were barely any vegetables to mention. It barely had any flavor. Not a fan of this place and not to mention at lunch time it was completely empty which is not a good sign.

I’m a fan of this place. Its the closet place next to my work and for the value, you cant beat it. I typically just get the chicken teriyaki. You can have an option of white or brown rice for a small additional costs. Their salad dressing is the best! Huge portions. chicken is very tender. sauce is nice and sweet. Not the best but hits the spot for the area.

Loved it so much, I had to come back! First visit I had the chicken = amazing! This time I tried the jap-chae = pototo noodles similar in texture to Thai glass noodles, topped with your choice of meats. The flavor of the noodles — eh, wasn’t too imoressed. But this time I split half chicken and half beef. The beef = also amazing! I’ll def be back but doubt I’ll get the noodles again.

I am writing this review based off their Bi Bim Bop. It was inexpensive and very good. I love the stone bowls but didn’t expect to see that in a teriyaki joint. The gentleman who served us was so nice and welcoming. The place reminds me of the hole in the wall places in Korea. I love the mom and pop feel. If you want a super hip vibe this place isn’t for you. The bathroom was pretty lousy but it worked. I wish it was full on Korean and not a mix. All the Korean dishes looked great. My husband liked his teriyaki well enough.

I love Soy Grill-have been eating there for years. My favorite is the Spicy Chicken and the Bipimbap. It is a bit of a hole-in-the wall, but that doesn’t stop me because the food is so good. I have tried lots of teriyaki places and find this is the best. Prices are reasonable – about $ 7 for teriyaki, rice, salad.

Yum! Spicy chicken with rice is the standard order. The chicken is so good with a semi spicy sauce, it’s more tangy than spicy. I think there’s gochichang in it making a Korean fusion. Other foods items on the menu may be hit or miss. The side salad with a miso dressing? It Is perfect with any rice dish. Can’t beat the price for 7.50, you’ll have leftovers for sure! The spicy charge is not unlimited! You must pay for extra. Someone tell me how to make it at home! Yummy teriyaki in clackamas, woot woot!

I was bummed that we didn’t have a delicious, quick and easy teriyaki joint by our new house. Then we stumbled across this, then we noticed that it was Korean owned(japchae, bibimbap, kimchi etc photos on the window); this made me even more happy! We went inside, it’s what you except of a small teriyaki place. There was always a small line of people coming and going, it moved quickly and is a good sign of a trusted neighborhood spot. The staff was very friendly and personable. We ordered their japchae, a spicy chicken combo(had gyoza) and spicy chicken over fried rice. Everything was delicious. The more simplified version of these otherwise potentially complex dishes, in great portions for standard prices. We got our orders to-go and headed home, sitting on our couch overly full with happy bellies :) We will definitely be back soon! Curious about their chicken katsu.

Ate here yesterday with my daughter and I ordered the shrimp udon. I’ve eaten here before and had the chicken teriyaki, which was wonderful. But today I was disappointed. For one thing, there was no shrimp in the udon, and my daughter and I were so busy catching up that I didn’t notice. It could’ve been easily remedied and it’s totally my fault that I didn’t do that. Her coconut shrimp and fried rice was delicious. The shrimp were crisp and not oily, and the fried rice was yummy. My disappointment came when my udon arrived. It had all the right things in it: broccoli, cabbage, kamaboko, and even an egg, and it was too hot to eat at first, which is exactly how it should be. However, the dashi was pretty tasteless. I tried adding some teriyaki sauce to it, but that didn’t help much. I brought most of it home and will add more dashi here. Next time I’ll order something else, and I’m sure it will be a lot better.

Write a review? Could’ve sworn I did way back when I was a Unilocal freshman. Yeah, I’ll say I’m a fan. Soy Grill & Original Thai BBQ were the easiest, quickest, & cheapest lunches to grab when I worked for KP. There are so many restaurants on Sunnyside Rd but I managed to always be in line with the rest of the chicken teriyaki fans. Walking across the street from the hospital to Soy Grill can’t get more convenient than that. I’d glance over the menu with over a dozen options but every time I’d order the same thing time & again, «#1 chicken teriyaki, please.» The slices of chicken are moist & tender but I’ve gotta have more teriyaki sauce than what’s marinated in the chicken. The side salad is blah; iceberg lettuce, big whoop. The dressing, however, is like Dorothy Lynch(think french dressing) & Thousand Island had a baby. It’s light & sweet & with the left overs it tastes even better mixed with the bed of white rice. Condiments table has teriyaki sauce as well as Sriracha & sweet chili sauce but really all you need is teriyaki. Service is fast which is good when you’re on a lunch break. Call in your order if you don’t have time to sit & eat there. The place isn’t always the cleanest but when there’s a break in customers the tables get wiped down & the bins of dishes get collected. The price is ridiculous for the generous amount of food; serves me twice. I think $ 6.45 is a great price for chicken teriyaki. I recently returned & forgot how much I liked Soy Grill. I’m a fan because the food is good, it’s cheap, & it’s fast food without it being fast food.
