We arrived at 830 and were kept waiting on a slow night. The cook kept messing up orders and the waiting staff kept rushing us to leave and even told my wife to chug the rest of her alcoholic drink and then poured it in a Togo cup. We were kept waiting for 20 minutes before being seated and 15 minutes waiting for the cook to show up. In addition the waiter forced us to leave immediately after the cook finished preparing our meal. Did not enjoy the food quality nor did the presentation feel worth the $ 100 check.

I didnt eat Hibachi only Sushi. I love Nigiri and Shashimi. They had some of the best frshest fish I have ever had and I have ate a lot of sushi. The miso was above average. Get the yellowtail here it was the best yellowtail I have had. S ounds like the Hibachi needs to be as good as the sushi

Did not get to enjoy the food so I cannot rate anything but the 30 minutes spent with the hostess. We got signed in and were told 25 minutes. There was a group there and we assumed we were all waiting for the same table to open. Once the group was called they were a table short to seat is and we were last to sign in. So we asked what we would be looking at for a wait time and she said you just signed in so 25 to 30 minutes. At that point we promptly left. Hope other people get to enjoy the food.

First time here and was not very impressed. Ate the sushi only. Overpriced. We ordered five different kinds. I’ve never had a spider roll that was not good, but this place definitely did that. The crab itself was full of oil and the roll itself was cold. Our salmon bomb roll came on fire, but when we ate it was cold not even warm. The only reason they are getting the two stars is the hurricane roll, it was the only good roll.

Great place to eat with family and friends. Has been my favorite place for over 16 years. Family takes me here every year around or on my birthday. Love the asparagus beef rolls as appetizer. U get so much food u can make three meals or more out of the filet and chicken meal.

Absolutely the best japanese steak house around. Ive been a customer for 20+ years. My parents used to force me to come as a teenager. And now it is my favorite place. Ive traveled the USA and when I try other hibachi places, no one holds a candle to this place. I always order the steak/shrimp combo. I love the white and brown sauces. I dream about their fried rice. And I come away with probably gaining 5 pounds. It’s soooo worth it. Lunch is cheaper than dinner, if you want to save $(but you wont get the«show»). And don’t come if you aren’t hungry!

I did not try the hibachi. The sushi was the worst I’ve ever– sashimi tasted old and the rolls were loose and filled with mayo. This was also some of the most expensive I’ve ever had.

I was very impressed with the service at this restaurant. We went on a week day, so we were seated immediately, our drink orders were taken and delivered as soon as we sat down, the soup and salad was brought out immediately and they were quick to refill drinks and take away the empty plates. They started cooking almost immediately and the food was awesome. The cook was very friendly and put on an awesome show. What I really liked about the cook is that he took the extra time to cut up my childs food into smaller pieces. I really appreciated that. The only thing that I did not like is that the salad automatically came with ginger salad dressing. I’m sure they would have given me a different sald, if I asked, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to other people, especially if they have small children.

Always great service and great food. We have never been disappointed and we have done so for the last 5 years. The sushi as well as the hibachi are top notch! They offer a military discount, too! Although we have moved away from the area, Hananoki is a place we make it a priority to visit when we come back.

The Clarksville roll was great! The house salad was so-so. We got a few other rolls and those were also pretty good. Lots of options-including fully cooked«fancy» rolls. I will definitely be a return customer.

The food is delicious. I don’t imagine many people will dispute that. My primary issue with the place is that the portion sizes do not befit the prices. For the exorbitant amount that’s being charged, I couldn’t possibly give them 4 or 5 stars. It’s too bad because the chefs and waitresses were great at their jobs. But there are too many other hibachi places in Clarksville that offer very similar food in the same portions for about $ 5-$ 10 less. I ordered the Salmon and Scallops. Again, I greatly enjoyed it. The salmon was fantastic. The lemon was the perfect addition to it(this coming from a guy who can’t stand the all-too-ubiquitous lemon pepper seasoning on seafood) and the scallops. Omg. It was everything scallops are supposed to be. Light. Fluffy. They practically melted on my tongue, but only after exploding with flavor in my mouth. I was tempted to order a second offering of it but I opted against it. By the way, the squid salad was amazing. And shockingly plentiful. I would definitely order that again if I’m ever here again. I received a coupon that would give me 50% off my next dinner that was $ 20.95 or more. So maybe the prices average out for repeat customers? …probably not. The take away from this review: great food, bad prices.

Service is awesome but the food was overpriced. Being an Asian from SoCal, I’m always looking for a great Japanese food to eat. Came across this one this week Nd went ahead to try it. My wife and I were happy about the service. We order fried calamari and it was good. It came in a small portion but it was worth it. We also ordered seafood panfried udon, nabeyaki udon noodle soup and 2 sodas. It turned out to $ 40 which I thought it was a little too high. Probably not going back for the food. However, the servers were very nice:; they always came and asked if everything was okay with smiles on their faces.

Meh. The service was fine. The sushi is overpriced. They have better hibachi than Yamamoto but we still won’t be going back. We ordered the chicken teriyaki and Norwegian salmon. It was decent with good sized portions.

Could’ve got a better service. Our appetizer wasn’t served until we were in the middle of our main dishes. Definitely didn’t order sashimi as a side dish so I could kill the freshness in the middle of teppan yaki.

For Clarksville, I just dont see the 2 star reviews this place is getting. We are picky diners and keep coming back here for the hibachi, we have been here maybe 4 or 5 times and have never had a bad experience. Our cook was great too and had some new moves we haven’t seen before. Last night we sampled a few different sushi rolls as well as several hibachi entrees and everything was delicious.

I really wasn’t impressed with the quality of the service. Going to a steakhouse like this is part meal, part show, and both left room for improvement. The food itself was bland, and the show was deplorable. Really, the only thing I saw was the flame on the grill, and that was just splashing some flammable liquid on the grill and lighting it. No little onion volcano, no fancy cutting, no anything. I can put on a better show in my kitchen. Given the food and the«skills» of the guy cooking the meal I will not be eating there again. I’ve eaten at one other Japanese steak house in Clarksville, and I have to say that the other location beat the tar out of them in both regards. Go somewhere else for a meal, this was not worth the money.

Let me tell you one thing about TN that I’ve learned in the past couple weeks — No one eats sushi here. There was absolutely no line for sushi but for hibachi — it was probably a 1 – 1:30 min wait. We got the Crunchy roll, Dragon roll & Clarksville roll. For some absurd reason it took about 25 min for us to get our sushi. There was only one other couple eating sushi in the sushi area. The Dragon roll was one of the special rolls($ 8) and tasted good but like the 2⁄5 stars indicates — «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» The Crunchy with shrimp was less than mediocre. It just looked like they threw tempura flakes inside and expected us to not know the difference. The Clarksville was the only semi-decent roll I had there but it was still ordinary. It was deep-fried, which usually bumps anything a notch in my book, and had crab and cream cheese. But all in all, a very ordinary and forgettable dinner food-wise. The only highlight was that i was with my wonderful boyfriend and there was the no line and decent prices. Both almost all«normal» rolls are under $ 6.
