Tried the chicken parm. Not good. First, the bread, with dipping oil. Not italian, more like some kind of french/wonder bread stuff. Yuck. But at least it was cold! Really, whatever happened to Italian bread? Just go over to Walmart, they got it. The sauce(a review of an italian place, with no mention of the sauce, is a bad review) was called marinara. This marinara, would be tomato 2x anywhere else. HEAVY. Bad tasting too, bitter and burnt tasting. No garlic, no oregano, no nothing, but bitter. The chicken was a good size, two patties. The breading, it was like it had been through a toaster set on Burn, Baby, Burn, five times. So, it matches the sauce very well! Can’t see going back here. Johnny Carinos blows this out of the water.

Went last night for dinner with my parents and had a great meal. For apps we tried the fried calamari and caprese salad YUM! Marinara was a little salty but I like salt so it didn’t bother me. My parents loved their pizza. I got the penne vodka! It was sooooo good seriously you won’t be disappointed! ! I’m a little snotty coming from NJ… My husband had the baked ziti and unfortunately that was a miss… lacked flavor and was really just a big bowl of mush. So next time he will try something else. The dining room was clean and nicely decorated, what got me was ambiance… that it had no music so we were forced to listen to another table and the workers. Apps hadn’t been cleared before she started bringing the dinners so that was a hot mess but I just think she lacked experience. All in all we will return and I can’t wait to have that penne vodka!

Great food and service was pretty good. A bit pricey and wasn’t fond of sitting next the owners family table with the business paperwork! adding machine on the table and the momma’s or grandmothers sitting there critiquing things. Will eat there again but probably do takeout. Hopefully lasts but I don’t think it will considering the location and pricing.

It’s finally happened. True NY pizza in Clayton, NC! Not only is the pizza spot on but the Italian dishes and entrees are fantastic as well. As a new customer I am now a customer for life. Doesn’t make me miss NY anymore. I’ve tried them all, this is the only Italian/pizza restaurant you should be visiting.

Got pizza over Thanksgiving break(tired of turkey!) for my family in town. They all raved about the pizza. They previously lived in Manhattan so they know a thing or 2 about pies! Definitely the best in the area. Thanks for showing up in Clayton.

The service and atmosphere was great for couples or families. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Ordered three sliced pizzas and wedding soup. Pizza was awesome and true to NY style pizza. The wedding soup looked amazing but was way to bland. The tortellini soup was much better and the soup portions are large. Best pizza place, and there’s a lot around time, in town.

Their pizza is the best in Clayton and surrounding areas. Authentic indeed and tastes straight out of Brooklyn. Service is top notch!

I came here with my wife for dinner and experience was extraordinary. If you are looking for traditional Sicilian style Italian food this place is second to none. This fine establishment is italian family run and the owners are a absolute pleasure to meet. The food reminds me of the high quality dishes I used to get in New York. As the the restaurant sign says«Fugetaboutit what a taste» couldn’t be more true. We will definitely return!

Christina was the best waitress — made the best recommendations and was right on time with refills, or anything else we might need! I can’t wait to return and will definitely return here for dinner when I’m next in the Triangle area!
