Take it from a true cheese steak snob… Saks is for real.
I’m from Philly so I was a little skeptical that the cheese steaks at Saks were authentic but when I saw the pictures of the Amoroso’s rolls I knew this place must be different.

Food was fresh and delicious. Loved the side salad which comes with onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Pasta salad is simple and tasty. I got some to go! Steak and cheese and meatball subs were fantastic. Highly recommend and the staff is welcoming and polite! Also a buy 10 get one sub free card. A+

Placed an order for pick up. Quick service, nice people. Wasn’t busy, was close to closing time by an hour or so. Had the #1 and it was near perfect. They don’t give you many fries at all, so don’t expect much. I’ll definitely be going back.

Yum! The Philly cheese steak was delish! I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 5 because my bread and my son’s hot dog rolls both seemed a bit stale. Also, the fries looked and tasted like they had been sitting around. The service was very friendly. The meat was lean even though I expected it to be fatty.

Definitely worth a visit. My husband and I enjoy their Italian subs. On our first visit we tried their steak and cheese, we loved it so much we tried tomorrow order it again. Unfortunately, the second time was not as good. Not sure if the meat was different or something. Since we enjoyed our first visit so much we still went back and that is when we tried the Italian subs. We look forward to trying other items on the menu and will have to give the steak and cheese one more try.

This place is amazing. We love it here. Everything we get is fresh and delicious. It is as close to New York that we have found around here. The cheesecake is divine! If they have it, you better grab a piece, they seek out fast!

This place is a hidden gem. Being from Philly I am a cheesesteak and hoagie snob and everything about Sak’s feels like home. I love their turkey and cheese, love the delicious fries and you can’t beat the price and the awesome owners!!! I don’t think I could live without Saks, honestly!!! #GoEagles lol

Best Philly cheese steak around. I recommend order it with the banana and sweet peppers and service was great.

This place is amazing! I highly recommend the Philly, you will too after you try it. The owner is a great guy, and the staff, they really take care of their customers.

This place is a little bit of a drive from downtown Raleigh, but if your a fan of really good Philly Cheesesteaks then you’ll want to make a pilgrimage out to Saks. The bread is brought in from Philly all Angus beef and real american cheese with hot and green peppers it all melts in your mouth. Look for their new food truck rolling out soon. I can’t wait to try one of their other sandwiches!

VALUE. Such a strong word. People tend to think of the word «value», in the realm of food being inexpensive, it’s far from the truth. Value is the COST compared to the QUALITY of the product sold.
Sak’s sandwiches are fresh. So fresh that they don’t even have a microwave in their kitchen. Think about the last place that you ate, that didn’t have a microwave. Cheese is melted in the oven, or on the grill, food is never reheated. End of story !
I highly recommend the Philly cheese steak, it’s as good as anyone’s, anywhere. The buffalo chicken, meatball parm, and #2 Italian sub are also in the same class. The VALUE is there. The place is very clean. The atmosphere is comfortable. What else do you want ?
Think of the garbage served in other places, and the loud crude people that are there. Are you living, by eating for sustenance, or are you interested in dining and treating yourself to a quality sandwich ?
Treat yourself to good food, you are worth it !

Great find! Using your GPS is a must in order to find it and we are glad we did. The place is clean and tidy.
You place your order at the window and they bring it to you. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and my husband had the Philly cheesesteak. YUM! I took a bite of his and I wish I would have gotten the Philly cheesesteak, the meat was fresh and perfectly combined with real cheese and caramelized onions. I loved both sandwiches and next time I’ll have my buffalo chicken in a salad, I’m sure that would taste even better (I’m not a big bread person). The only thing I was not crazy about was having a special for three sandwiches that have fries and a drink. Please, please change the menu to combine the fries and not as a special, it seems expensive to have just a sandwich with no side. I would charge maybe a little bit extra and just add the side especially for a kids meal.
Overall great food, prices are ok and the service was good. I’m pretty sure we’ll be back soon.

Staff is great. Atmosphere is awesome. The subs are awesome. The cheesesteak was friggen amazing. It actually tastes like real steak, extremely tender. I’ve always loved jerseys Mike’s for the quality but this place I’d say is a good step above. Theres a lot more of an authentic feel, taste, and texture with the ingredients. The bread is tasty. It’s got an ever so slightly toasted outside but extremely soft, moist, and fluffy center. The price is above average but well worth it. It’s not subway prices, but comparing it to them would be a heavy insult. I think I found my new goto spot for subs.

Was craving a sub, and somewhere different… this place hit the spot! They dont short you either! My sub was PACKED full of almighty goodness!
It took me a while to find due to the trees blocking it but its two doors to the left of Adam & Eve. cant miss that spot.

First time here, had hard time finding it first off, no signage outside.
Second, when I ordered (prosciutto, genoa salami, pepperoni, capitols with provolone was awesome… BUT way to expensive for the size. $ 8.00 for the 7in and $ 10.00 for the 12in. This did not include a side or drink. It’s $ 1.50 more for fountain drink and bag of chips. I would come back if they lower the price.
Service was ok and the place was clean.
That’s about it.
I love local restaurants but don’t over price your stuff to were your locals won’t come back. Just saying.

Absolutely wonderful new Deli here in Clayton that I just found out about last week. I like subs/​sandwiches and this place is very good and the owners are very friendly. Great atmosphere, will definitely be back.
