Had to switch rooms because there was no hot water in the first one. The second room had hot water but chair was worn and dirty. Bed was comfortable and bedding was clean. Internet was slow and reception on TV was bad. To use the coffee pot, I had to unplug the adjacent lamp. Carpet was stained. Most of staff there were polite, however gal at check out was rude. She did not smile at all.

I would not recommend. We were fairly desperate for a place to sleep. The beds were clean but that is about the only positive thing I have to say. There is no elevator and the halls smell like smoke. The water pressure was not sufficient to wash my hair. The furniture and fixtures were visibly worn and mildewy. For the $ 99 we were charged, we should have driven to the next town. I intended to complain to the front desk, especially about the water, but there was no one around to report to.

After a very long day of driving finding this Super 8 in Clear Lake, IA was just what we needed. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, a/​c worked great, and they even offered a continental breakfast in the morning. The price was more then we wanted to pay but still not bad considering what you have to pay at other places with similar amenities. $ 79.00 plus tax for our room for the night. We were traveling with a trailer and there was plenty of parking available to accommodate us.
