Over The Top Pita

OTP for the win! Everything I have tried from this restaurant is delicious! I honestly have a hard time deciding what to order, because everything is so good! The fish is tender with great flavor and has a sauce with a tiny kick to make things interesting. The gyro seasonings are the perfect blend, and I’ve never found the meat itself to be dry. The falafel is the most authentic I’ve had in the States. The fries are perfect, and black bean hummus is amazing. All of their ingredients seem very, very fresh. I’ve never had soggy lettuce or tired tomatoes. And the PITAS! Oh my goodness, if they packaged them for retail sale I’d be their biggest customer. You cannot visit Clermont without trying Over the Top Pita!

Finally a great place for gyros, falafel and other pita sandwiches in Clermont.
The first time I was here I had to have the standard gyro with fries. Everything was really good! The gyro meat was nice, tender and spiced well. The fries were thick cut style with not much salt and I liked that.
The falafel were great as well. Nice, tasty filling and a good crust that is not over-​fried or burnt. The sauce they serve with them is good as well.
My go-​to here is normally the falafel pita but I can definitely say the other sandwiches are great as well.
Definitely a place worth checking out!

Still the best gyro around. The steak and cheese sandwich which is not on the menu but is available all the time now is just as good. A real small town friendly atmosphere. Love this place. Yummmmm

Really great gyro! Portion size of the extremely tasty meat is fantastic as its hard to even get in your mouth. I could have used a little extra sauce but that’s me. Overall best gyro I’ve had in a while and I will be back.

This place is one of my favorites in town. I’ve tried most of the menu and have not been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and (sadly?) have started to recognize me and my wife when we come in. They were originally a food truck (they still are). I highly recommend Over the Top Pita!

Love OTP! The Souvlaki is fabulous as well as the traditional gyro. I’m picky about my Greek and highly recommend this eatery. Recently OTP added a philly cheese steak pita. An absolute must try for all. It rocks! Try the falafel they are super good!

I had a chicken pita from their food truck on Friday night at the Real Life Church fall fest and it knocked my flops off!!! My husband and I went right to their restaurant the next day for lunch! Best pita I’ve ever had! Please never leave!

This place has the best Gyros in Clermont! It’s a small place but you can order and go. The people are very friendly.

OTP gets 5 stars all day long. We have been frequenting OTP since their open. It starts with the signage, bright, vibrant, new, and hip. The employees also reflect the same with their attitudes. OTP is situated in the same location as the former Quizno’s, Philly Connection, The Urban Spot (Part 1), and the Urban Spot (Part 2). It is clear that they CARE. Portion sizes are adequate. They flavor? OH YES!!! I’ve had the gyro pita almost every single time I’ve been there. Each time, I enjoy the crusted edges of the gyro meat along with the soft, yet hearty pita. It’s funny to think that this place started off, and is still, a food truck. Everyone here is welcoming. I think my girlfriend is referred to as, «Pita Pal», when she orders. I’m sure we’ll be back again this week.
I cannot say enough good things about Over the Top Pita. Please stay in Clermont. Your foothold is strong. You have fans in us and will continue to grow. Don’t change.

Finally! A gyro place with legit gyro meat! Ive been recently disappointed by many greek joints offering some gray, paper thin excuse for protein. This place really serves up a delicious gyro. Everything about it makes it a clean-​your-​plate experience.
The staff is attentive and actually cares about your opinion. The service is quick.
My only qualm is the fries are not really seasoned at all, and hardly salted. Id love to see them offered with feta and some seasoning!

Gyros like this makes me think of Chicago as my family would take trips to Chicago just for the food. The food is just hot and fresh! I’m a restaurant manager with over 11 years of experience and I am just amazed how great the service, food quality, and how clean the restaurant looks. I know it’s hard to always maintain perfection with each customer experience but they always seem on top of their game.
My first Unilocal comment as I am impressed.

Stopped in for lunch today and got a Gyro. It was pretty tasty. The menu stated the gyro is made with lamb and beef, which I believe is a outside of the «norm»…pretty sure a traditional gyro is lamb only. This is an observation not a complaint. The sandwich was hot, fresh and flavorful. A real treat.
There is another place in town for gyros (which I think is the only other place in town for gyros). This blows them away.
Stopping in again soon for falafel. Looking forward to being able to stay in town and South Lake Co for that matter to get a falafel. Welcome to Clermont. Looking forward to working my way through the menu.

Friendly staff and great food! What more can you ask for. The gyros are delicious. The hummus tastes fresh. Always take out for me and they always got the orders right.

Happy to find another source of gyros in the area. This was my first time in. I just noticed them the other day because of the big gyros sign from the street. They are right next to Publix and Great Clips in the old Urban Tacos space.
I was informed the chef (owner?) was originally from Greece which is a plus in my book for a place like this. A few of the pitas had a southwestern flair, such as the fajita pita.
The pita bread was soft and fresh, stuffed with very generous servings of meat. They have a very simple menu that makes it easy to order and the staff was very friendly. Even though they closed at 9 today, they were very accommodating to the rush of people that came in around that time, including myself. There were about 10 people ahead of me with orders and my food was ready to go in about 20 minutes. I thought that was reasonable considering it is all made to order and they were very busy. Prices for entrees were in the moderate range.
My son had the gyro with a side of fries. They even put a few fries in the gyro. The lamb was very tender in and overstuffed with meat which was good. Plenty of tzatziki sauce to go with the meat. My suggestion would be more tomatoes.
I had the fish pita. According to the menu, it included a lime sauce so, in my mind, I was thinking of a creamy white lime cilantro type sauce (as you would find in a Mexican fish taco or burrito. Yes, I realize this is not a Mexican joint but, as mentioned, they offer some southwestern style pitas). However, it was more of a chipotle sauce with a slight spicy kick. That was a bit disappointing to me but it was still good. I just didn’t taste any lime so I would suggest more lime in the sauce or serve/​offer some wedges on the side for those that want to add a squeeze or 2. I also would have liked more Pico de Gallo which would’ve added more flavor.
The falafel was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside so thumbs up there. Served with a generous helping of tzatziki sauce to dip in.

Absolutely fabulous! I had the spicy chicken pita and it was delicious. They give you an incredible amount of quality chicken. The ranch dressing is homemade and the best I’ve had. Everything is fresh and made to order. I will be back again and again and again and again.

Excellent food, portion size, reasonable prices! Nice people! I had the chicken gyro! Been there twice this week! Oh yeh! Come support this great new restaurant!
