Very good food. The place is not fancy at all but home cooked food. Miss Anita is a Sweet Woman. This place is crazy about Elvis.

Have stopped twice food has always been great. Once with husband and once with girl friends. We had meatloaf, chicken fried steak, and chicken strips. All was very good.

We had the best dinner of frog legs and gator that we have had since we were children in the panhandle! The sides on the dinner were great! The frog legs were huge and the gator portions were as well! Be sure to save room for dessert! The server was friendly and helpful! We will be going back again.

Best catfish I had in a long time. I went there for a breakfast. Highly recommend this place!

Stopped by here for a quick meal after sky diving. Our choices were slim but pleasantly surprised that the fried chicken was pretty good. Looks like the place has been around for ages. Rough around the edges but decent food.

We must have chosen an off day to stop. Four of us all ordered the special, 4 pcs of dark meat chicken and fries for $ 5. We also ordered an appetizer of gator for $ 9. The gator was a pretty small portion and was very chewy and salty. We got there at about 2:00 as the lunch crowd was just leaving. The waitress told us it was going to take about 18 to 20 minutes for our food, which we were fine with. The gator came out pretty quickly, but we didn’t get our chicken until 3:15. The chicken itself was ok but not worth the wait. When we mentioned the long wait, the waitress apologized and said one of the cooks had called in sick. To top it off, the bill was higher than it should have been so we had to ask why. They had charged us for an extra dinner. Not sure I would bother to return.

Nothing special. Had some fried chicken, was a bit dry, better than fast food fried chicken tho. I prefer Publix fried chicken. The fried gizzards were flavorless

Dixie Fried never disappoints. Today fried chicken was what I enjoyed. In the past the pork loin and chicken livers were always top notch. Anita serves with a smile and if you enjoy Elvis this is the place for you.

I live in NY but i grew up here in Clewiston(c/o 00) and this place has the best sweet tea/lemonade in the state! Pass by whenever I’m in town.

We like fried chicken gizzards but it is hard to find tender ones. This place makes them just right. Flavorful and tender. We discovered them a couple of years ago just driving thru from Miami and now we try to stop when we can. Today, we got a large order($ 10). A little pricey but good gizzards. Chicken and catfish look good, so we will try them when we have time to eat in.

Classic old Florida cracker café — indulged in some chicken gizzards that were great. can’t wait to try the gator on my next trip through Clewiston.

Is is GREAT fried chicken? No. But the place has a character that is pure Americana from the epic collection of Elvis memorabilia to the time capsule qualities of the menu items. Yes, it’s old and it’s dirty but in a charming Mayberry, USA kind of way and worth a try for the nostalgic value alone.

Very good fried chicken; friendly and efficient service and clean. We shared a 4 pc. Only reason for a 4 star is cuz the French fries weren’t done enough and were a little soggy.

Old school hole in the wall and diner feel, bathrooms were gross, burger was OK. Better than fast food!

Amazing slice of Americana. Feels like I’m in a Cohen brothers movie. Country fried steak was delicious. Mike clearly doesn’t know what he’s talking about. His shiny toy motorcycle looks like the kind that you pay two tickets to ride in circles at the county fair.

Salad came with rotten vegetables and waitress had nasty attitude. We were ignored after food was served even though rotten salad sat untouched on side of table.

A hidden treasure. Ambience is warm and friendly kitsch, with Elvis memorabilia on every wall and a Christmas tree newly decorated for every season. We stopped in for breakfast. My husband got the biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were tender and the gravy flavorful. I got the fried catfish and eggs. The fish was amazing. Tender, flaky, perfectly cooked. Or server told us that the catfish, gator and frog legs are all locally caught. We’ll be back to try more.

We rode to Lake Okochobee from Naples, then lunched at Dixie Fried Chicken. I love fried chicken. What first impressed me as we rode into the parking lot was how quaint the outside was painted up. We walked inside and I was pleasantly greeted by the smell of home cooking and fried chicken. I ordered the 2 piece, thigh and breast. Marsha ordered fried chicken livers which I love also. We split our meals and both of us were smiling from ear to ear with the quality. Randy ordered chicken fried steak, Bob and Cheryl ordered fish and shrimp. We all raved about our food and the service. We tipped our waitress 30%. Great food, service and friendly people. We’ll be back soon.

Dixie Fried Chicken is awesome. When driving coast to coast in south Florida, I will never take Alligator Alley again! Located in sleepy Clewiston, this place is the real deal. Country Cookin at its finest! Fried Chicken Livers, Okra, Grouper — I’m in heaven. Stacie will take good care of you. Local cops, families with kids, young and old — all love this place. You will, too!
