Safeway

This is a reasonable Safeway location. It is generally stocked during the busy hours/​days of the week. I’ve been coming here for years and many of the same staff still work here. They are usually friendly and helpful. Occasionally you can catch some good deals, but my regular experience is that Safeway is a bit more expensive than Giant and Shoppers.
I always have issues with the lines here. The lines are always long. Always, but I always assume that’s any grocery store. The most dissapointing thing about this Safeway location is that they do have a self-​check out section, but it never seems to be open during the busiest times of the day. I stopped in to pick up a few gift cards the day after Christmas and only four registers were open including one 15 items or less line. I only had two gift cards, but I got stuck behind someone with a full cart. Not really the store’s problem, but it would have helped if the self check out was open that day.
Despite the issues I have with long lines, I’ll still continue to come to this Safeway. It is close to my home and I always find everything I need.

Horrible service!!! Long lines with very few registers ever open. Prices are also outrageous. Bring Wegman’s to Clinton, MD already.

I rarely shop at this Safeway and today is a prime example why. 3:00 in the afternoon and only two lines open. I guess I’ll keep riding past it and go out of my way to go to Food Lion.

Regularly understaffed. Two registers open and one self-​checkout; ten plus people in each line. I’ve seen this on more than one occasion. I’d rather spend an extra five minutes driving to another supermarket than spend twelve extra minutes waiting in line at this one. Complain to corporate people or just accept the poor service this location routine provides.
