It’s a Subway. The people were fine and the food is what you always get. I eat at Subway on road trips when I want to feel somewhat healthy while sitting in the car all day. Unfortunately this one is a bit far from the interstate but it was exactly what you expect.

I’ve dined at Subway several times and it just wasn’t good for me. I was disappointed in the freshness of the tomatoes. The portions of the meat were small. Given the options of sub places in Clinton, I’d rather eat elsewhere.

I gave this subway 3 stars because well truthfully when it comes to chains, a subway is a subway… can’t really mess up 4 pieces of turkey on a piece of bread. But I was disgusted by the behavior of the staff. I believe it was just two guys in there working… and they totally bashed some lady after she left, well knowing that i was sitting there eating my sub! The lady didn’t do anything wrong that I could see, but either way, be somewhat professional and gracious to the customers. so thats why i gave it minus two stars– horrible staff!

I had this friend who came to this Subway one day. He comes here all the time so it was nothing new. He ordered what he usually orders and they were efficient and friendly as always. When he went to pay, his credit card was declined(for reasons that turned out to be a mistake) and he only had $ 5 — his food cost $ 6.57. The employees at this particular Subway said it wasn’t a problem and they let my friend just bring it back the next day. My friend did bring it back. Subway is basically the same all-around and there are only a few things that can separate one from another. Something truly disastrous could occur or something truly helpful, you figure out which one my friend experienced at Subway in Clinton.

I just don’t know why anyone, anywhere would go to a Subway store. Maybe people from the fly-over states don’t know what a deli is supposed to be but here in NJ we are used to great Italian or Jewish deli’y that know how to put out a good sandwich and serve it up with flair. Here, You get three or four pieces of pre-sliced deli meat, and a bunch of junk on top. go to a real deli and get a real sandwich. i just don’t understand how this franchise makes it anywhere in the Country but certainly not NJ or NY where they know real delis.

Sure, it’s a typical Subway chain — but the owners and workers are all friendly and the sandwiches are as ordered. Thats more than I can say for a few different Subways I’ve been in. It can get quite busy around lunch time, but they work through it in pretty short order. I probably go there 4 or 5 times a month and have only had maybe one bad experience and that was from a ‘new’ worker who messed up my toppings while I was grabbing a drink from the cooler and not paying attention.
