I tried this place for the first time today. I have eaten chicken curry many times before and was excited to try this because it’s near my home, but I wasn’t impressed at all. The sauces were not tasty; one tasted like straight sour cream. The chicken wasn’t cut from the bone, they were drums plopped on to the plate. I wanted the chickpeas, but I chose the veggies because they were more identifiable. I wasn’t even impressed with the salad, and that’s just lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and onions! I’d rather not go to this place any more… and that sucks. I hope that they can step their game up.

I use to love this place, but recently it has declined. The lamb kabob is often overcooked and doesn’t come with char grilled tomatoes and onions like other restaurants. The rice has no flavor which is why I think they dump the side vegetable on top of it. The salad comes without any dressing. And they must have changed their curry recipe because the look and flavor is no where near the same. The raita is hit or miss, lately it’s been extra salty and unedible. Sadly it’s the only option for kabob food in this area so if you’re desperate it’s worth a try, but they have clearly taken this community for granted and have given up on trying to serve a quality meal.

It was just okay but lost points in cleanliness. So I got the lamb kebab which came with basmati rice, sautéed spinach, and naan. The lamb was a little tough it wasn’t horrible, just okay and spiced decently. The rice was ample and standard for a kebab house. The rice came with the sautéed spinach dumped on the rice, was pretty good. The naan was the best part of the meal, fluffy and delicious. All of this is what I expected from a strip mall restaurant. But they lost big points from how dirty the place was. Not so much the interior which could’ve used a sweeping and a table wipe down. The bathroom was gross, just absolutely gross. If I hadn’t already ordered my food I would’ve walked out but I took my chances. Took this spot from a 3 to a 2 star place. Worrying when any part of a restaurant is filthy so that’ll like me keep me from coming back.

It’s a very nice place to grab something to eat, my only wish is that they will do some renovation work here. The food here is very nice(I had better kabob experience in my life but for the price it’s not that bad deal) I will be back here if I’m in the area.

Much better than I thought it would be, I definitely go back. Chicken and lamb kabob with rice was delicious! Prices are very reasonable here. It was clean inside which I did very much appreciate. If you are used to another kabob place, you have to ask what stuff is on there menu before you order, at least I did. I need to know exactly how it’s prepared, so I know I’m not getting ground meat or something else. The spinach was actually good too, I usually don’t order most side dishes at places, but this was good. They had a lot on the menu, but I’ll stick to kabob for now.

I haven’t even tried the food yet. I am writing this based on the sneaky pricing. I came in and the cashier gave me a menu. The price off the lamb kabab was 10.99 but they charge 11.99 for the kabab. Apparently it’s an updated price on the large menu overhead, but not the individual menus we were handed. Also I ordered a water and was charged $ 1.39. But he didn’t tell me what the total was. Just swiped my card and I saw the receipt. I should have asked what it was but it is difficult to think they would be so manipulative. Without even eating the food yet, I know I will never return. It’s too bad because I love kabobs and just discovered this place.

I was jonesing for some good kabob meat and randomly chose this unassuming restaurant. Not much inside; a few tables and fountain drink dispenser. I ordered the lamb gyro and my friend ordered a traditional mixed chicken and lamb kabob plate. Man! So good! The lamb, sauce and toasted flat bread were amazing! The meat was spiced very nicely and the owner let us try the«spicy sauce» with it, which I recommend. The food was coma-inducing, actually. My friend enjoyed his plate too. Said the chicken was amazing. The food takes a little time to prepare, so don’t go expecting fast food speed. But if you are willing to wait a few minutes… Bam!

Stumbled upon this place browsing Unilocal… decided to try it… we got 2 gyros, one beef and chicken… Taziki sauce was sour creamy… not bad, but not the best… I saw in smaller print they have the best wings in town… I now see why it’s in small print… they were like licking a salt block for deer. Immediately I think my blood pressure went up and my lips shriveled from the salt content. It wasn’t just a salty skin or sauce the meat inside was just as salty. Other than the wings wasn’t bad, but probably won’t be going back.

I ordered a lamb gyro. It was the largest gyro I have ever seen and I started eating it before I could take a picture. The meat was a little dry but it was delicious still. I will order from here again.

Pleasantly Surprised. I was heading over to get some BBQ on a holiday when I found the nearby Texas BBQ place was closed. Clinton, MD is not exactly known for its foods and since my wife was not with me, I decided to adventure a bit and try this Kabob location. Restaurant was very nearly empty, yet the roads were as well. Don’t know if was the day or the location. The gentlemen behind the counter, have to assume manager based on dress and way he communicated, was very nice. I ordered lamb kabobs to go. I was happy to find that the Naan was included. Food was great. Very good portions for lamb for such a low price and the meat quality was good. Nice long grain rice as well with good seasoning. I would not likely dine in though. The TV was on what appeared to be an infomercial for a hair product which I did think was a bit strange, yet no one was really there to complain.

Not bad. Only tried the samosa which was ok. The dough was pliable not crispy. Sauce was great. Only bad part was gross black stuff in the ice. Didn’t notice til the end

I have a new go to when I feel for lamb gyros. Awesome kabob, awesome gyros and the size… Yes sir. Fresh prepared, the owner/cashier had no problem if my request on the combo. The fresh Naan was out of this world. I wish I could give them a 4 ½, docked for cleanliness off the tables and even after going over the order it still was wrong, but. Delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Great little place to stop and eat for lunch. I usually get the lunch lamb curry and chickpeas. The portion are pretty big, I can never finished it ! And I just had the gyro and it was bomb too! And huge. Definitely a Diamond in the rough!

I live not too far from this place and the food is always fresh and always good. I’ve enjoyed the gyro, and the lamb/chicken lunch. I also ENJOY the veggie samosa! The portions are huge and I always have enough for another meal. The icing on the cake is the freshly-made naan. It doesn’t get any better than this for quick/takeout. So glad they’re located in Clinton.

I’m so happy that Clinton has our own kabob place. All of their meals are great, chicken, lamb, beef etc The staff is very friendly, and the manager is very nice. Food is always fresh, hot and prepared just like I ask for. If you like burritos their chicken wrap is amazing!

Great establishment, and they have only been open for 2 months. The manager was very friendly and generous. I had the lamb gyro — and it was the size of a newborn human baby. I could honestly finish 1⁄3 of its size. Mountains, and mountains of tender and flavorful lamb, on a bed of shredded lettuce. Throw some tomatoes and onions… drizzled with the yogurt sauce! MONEY $$$ Conveniently VERY close to my parent’s house. So, I can definitely come back when I visit them. I hope that this place stays clean, friendly with high quality when it comes to their food. Everyone should try Z Kabob.
