A Plus Nails

I couldn’t even wait to get home to write this review, they were that good. Absolutely blown away!
Right when I walked in I was welcomed, and offered a soda, water, or glass of wine. I had to drive, so I didn’t have anything.
I just needed a fill, and Jessica (who’s an absolute doll!) was super accommodating. She was friendly, and very personable. I saw how she had interacted with her customer before me (the girl didn’t know they only accepted cash tips– instead of getting angry, Jessica was super sweet and said it was totally okay).
You also get a free back and hand massage after your manicure, which was a wonderful touch!
They also have a large selection of colors, and it seems like they have a lot of regulars.
Absolutely WILL be back to A Plus nails! They treated me like family :)

Very good service and results. The staff is very friendly and do a wonderful job. The place is clean and I have had both pedicures and manicures and been extremely happy with my results. I feel like it’s a good atmosphere and they really want you to be a happy customer.

A+ Nails has great service and has the most friendly workers! They will always try and accommodate customers. My is my nail technician and she does really great work! They also have a new organic «dip» method that customers are loving because it lasts almost 3 – 4 wks! Definitely recommend going there.

Hands down best nail salon in West Des Moines area! Everyone is always very friendly & accommodating. They offer you a beverage with your service. The establishment is very clean and tidy. It has always proven to be a great experience!

Got a manicure here today. I was happy with the service. The tech was very gentle when removing my old polish as my nails are very weak. Everyone was very friendly. I would go here again.

Great personal service. We met almost everyone that worked in the salon, who then referred to us by name throughout our whole time there They did a great job on my toes and fingers I tried the «organic dipping powder» for the first time, and I really like the results. I will be back for sure!

I have been here twice and both times I’ve been happy with my service. The first time I got a standard pedicure and I was happy with the quality of the chairs as well as the cleanliness of the service. The second time I had a gel manicure. I like that instead of searching through dusty shelves for a polish bottle they give you samples to look through and they go grab your color from the back. I had a stylist named Nicole for my manicure and I would recommend her if you time for a well done meticulous one. My gel lasted for 2 weeks and wasn’t even pealing yet! I haven’t rated this a 5 yet because I don’t know how they are on nail designs or working with a large group. Would recommend!

I’m torn about this review because I’ve had good experiences here but today not so much. My mom, sister and I came in around 2pm and it was busy so they asked us to make an appointment and come back at 4… sure no problem. So we come back at 4 and my sister and I get seated in the pedi chairs and a tech starts working on my sister — in the meantime a regular walks in after us (she knows people by name) and is sat on the other side of me. A tech comes and starts working on her… not sure how that makes sense. So the tech working on my sister gets about halfway done… stops and starts doing my pedicure. What? In the meantime my mom is sitting getting zero attention for her manicure. So after soaking for a half hour I got a crappy pedicure. I visit my sister about once a month or so and we always come in to get out nails done… after this experience I may suggest finding a different location. They need to figure out what appointments mean even if a regular customer walks in.
As an update… a full after after our «appointment» someone finally started working on my moms manicure. And my sister is still waiting for the second half of her pedicure. Will NOT be returning.

Great service and atmosphere. The owner and staff were very friendly and personable. My nails are very weak and thin, without having to ask, the owner double coated the base, polish and top coat to make sure they don’t brake. If I’m ever in Des Moines again I would definitely come here again.

Very enjoyable! Mani and Peddi. Nice to relax with a glass of wine and get pampered! Saw a mom & young daughter having a day out and they were having a ball — they treated the little girl like a princess.
