Their online delivery ordering system works well and there’s a large variety of sandwiches and wraps to choose from along with their extensive pizza selection. I love their cheeseburger platter, but most of all their Sloppy Joe sub which you don’t usually find in your regular local take-out pizza joints. It does take a bit longer than usual for delivery, but it’s worth it.

Great food and service to go along with it. Nothing else needs to be said.

Ordered two sandwiches from here not so long ago, and it took over an hour to get here. «Here» refers to Norwood, and I don’t mean all the way on the other side of town. Norwood, by the 7eleven, which is right next to Closter! Ridiculous. I could’ve probably ordered it to go, driven there myself, waited in line, and driven back in HALF the time. The sandwich was good, but it was obviously no longer warm, and I’m a big stickler when it comes to not eating food at the temperature its meant to be eaten. There’s more leeway when it comes to delivery, but really… if the chicken has hardened, the bread has soggied due to the sauce, and the cheese has evolved into something with a textural element of a cold-cut, then no, this sandwich is definitely not worth the one hour fifteen minute wait. C’mon, get your act together.

Sorry but there must be a problem In getting someone to serve a decent pizza in Cloister. They changed the name but the same ownership remains. Yes they cook it in a brick oven, but the end result is the same.

I always enjoy the thin crust at Sparkies over any other local slice. When I call an order in for delivery, it is packed with care, and the kids love everything on their unique menu.

Great place, reasonable prices and the best food in town by far, i need to come more often, used to be here all the time. Owner is friendly and i wish him well. I recommend chicken marsala pasta, double cluck wrap, and their empanadas.

Love this place, friendliest most accommodating staff. Great prices They actually care and a brick oven slice cost 2 $, Italian hero $ 5 and they are both very good. Strongly recommend

I really liked my plain pizza. Their potato chips are good too =) My caesar salad wasn’t so fresh; the lettuce was a little gummy and the dressing wasn’t so great. Overall, would probably order from here again.

Ordered from this place on Tuesday, February 18th and got four pies. All of them were good. The crusts were thin and crispy, while the toppings on all the pies was enough to enjoy without falling out. We really enjoyed this place and would consider this the better pizza place in the area. We got the pizza as takeout and since I didn’t do the pickup, I don’t have any information on the dining area.

This place shines only when compared to the other options in this area. The experience is inconsistent depending upon staffing. It could be so much more with so little effort.

Yum, one of my favorite spots to eat in Closter. They have the best Sicilian slice and their buffalo ravioli is absolutely delicious. Could be a little spicier, but delicious. The staff is always friendly and they have great lunch specials!

I haven’t tried their pizza, only their pasta but so far it’s been very good. Occasionally it was a little bland but then again, I do tend to like my food on the salty side. Their customer service alone makes me want to be a regular customer there. They are extremely friendly and helpful and recommended some great items for me. The place is clean and you can see all your food being prepared.

I think if you are lucky and catch this place when they are ON, you really can’t beat the taste. But unfortunately this place is OFF their game 50% of the time. Late, undercooked, wrong order… you name it and they’ll mess it up. I’m not really sure what the problem is, but the fact of the matter is you are rolling the dice when you order here.

We like Sparkie’s — Here is why we like it: 1) Clean — you can see your food being made. Ray’s across the street is kind of grimy. 2) Pasta is pretty good, too. Fresh and the times we’ve had it al dente and not mush. 3) Staff — sometimes young but very nice, always fairly professional 4) the pies are very good to outstanding. I am not a slice guy, don’t like the hot lights — their fresh pizzas are very good.

I love this place. The staff is friendly and attentive. The place is always clean. The slices are thin and crisp and not heavy or create a drowsy feeling(as I feel when I normally eat pizza from other places). The first few times I went in they gave me complimentary stuff. Love it and glad they are in this community and hope they become very successful!

Finally have had the chance to pick up a couple of slices from Sparkie’s! I’ve had the basic cheese slice, a margarita, and, and the eggplant parm slice, and garlic knotts. The most expensive slice was $ 3 but that’s not too bad. The pizza is pretty darn tootin’ good! As someone has said, there are two other pizzerias in Closter, and I think Sparkie’s gives them a good run for their money. I wouldn’t quite compare it to Rudy’s, since they are more family sit down restaurant, but otherwise could give Ray’s(which is just across the street) some competition. Only difference is Sparkie’s slices are much smaller than Ray’s. Yummy! I really like their eggplant parm pizza and their staff is super friendly!

I don’t live around the area. I had a decent margarita slice to go. It’s a small place. They must have had 6 young kids working the counter and for deliveries and the other 5 guys made pasta, pizza, and prepped other foods. I’m glad they are not a pretentious place that because they are brick-oven it means they can charge a lot for a slice of pizza.

Although it does seem like a bad business venture to open a traditional pizza place right near other pizzerias(Ray’s, Rudy’s, and pizzerias in nearby Cresskill and Demarest) that have loyal customers, this place has its own neat little advantages. For starters, it’s definitely the cleanest and nicest looking pizzeria in town, second to Cresskill’s Ray’s Pizza(just my opinion). The staff there were the friendliest, but I suppose that’s because they want to give the best first impression in their first few months. Nonetheless, they were eager to explain what they offered, but weren’t overdoing the sucking-up at all. What I especially liked is that their kitchen is literally right behind the cashier, so you can see everything they’re doing with the food. On to the food! The pizzas are a little thin, but they make up with large toppings. They’re also slightly smaller per slice, but they’re cheaper than the other pizzerias around(other pizzerias charge $ 4-$ 5 for a specialty slice, whereas this place is around $ 3.50). I wish their garlic knots were a little bigger though. They also have these homemade chips that tasted great, definitely worth trying, along with the sauce they offer. This pizzeria’s definitely worth the try!
