Yikes! I MUST remind myself NOT to randomly go into stores like these without having some dire purpose to be there. I stopped here on a whim. I was just driving by and had a few minutes to kill… bad idea. The good: Outside looks nice… wait were those druggies hanging out behind the pillars? Cheap…in both price and quality The Bad: Dirty…icky gross dirty Messy-does anyone(employees) ever put things where they should be in this store? Location-yup sure does attract a certain client base that I wouldn’t want to meet in a dark alley. Im sure there are more negatives to this place but after noticing these things, I left promptly. I have been to the Big Lots on Blackstone and while I am not happy with that one either, it is better than this one for sure.

I got a big George Forman grill here for less than $ 19. And it is *fantastic* for grilling homemade hamburgers and Punjabi kebabs. This grill + Trader Joe’s lean ground beef = Husband thinks I am the best cook because of this grill. However, it took a while to find something worth buying. At first, I didn’t know what Latosha B meant by not going to Big Lots with a specific item in mind, but now I know… I don’t think I can go back, because that kinda random shopping is stressful to me! Tons of reusable Christmas trees, processed food, spices, jewelry boxes, kitchenware, toys, laundry detergent, cheap DVDs of movies you wouldn’t watch even on TV, etc. Even Walmart is less crazy than Big Lots. Believe it or not.

This is a decent Big Lots location. It has a great selection of random junk(to be completely honest) and like fellow reviewer Janet S said, you come to Big Lots to find something, not because you’re looking for something in particular. This is that kind of spot to you go to on a lazy day when you have nothing to do, really and you just feel like going to buy something(I’m sure the ladies feel me on this). Sometimes they will have some great merchandise in their weekly ad, but mostly you just go to browse and I guarantee you’ll find something nifty to take home. This is a great store to come to for seasonal stuff and holiday décor, or themed party décor. It’s a decent alternative for those pricey party stores. Having worked here for two years back when I was 18, I know all about the cool, random stuff you’ll find here for cheap. The folks are friendly here at this Clovis location and it’s pretty organized for the most part, except for the food section. The aisles are way too narrow and you can barely fit a single cart through there. The food is also sort of «thrown together» and you’ll find some stuff that’s about to expire or get stale or whatever. You know, the«sell by» date. Other than that, it’s a cool store and I’ll keep shopping here for fun or if I’m ever having a party, ya know.
