Florentina’s Pizza and Pasta

Been coming to thia place for many years. They people are very nice and the foods are very good. This is a small mom and pop shop.

I randomly found this place using the Unilocal app searching for something close because I was starving. I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! It was delicious. I ordered the breadsticks. There were 8 breadsticks and it came with marinara sauce on the side. They had butter and garlic brushed on them. They were fully cooked but still soft. I also ordered the chef salad. I was annoyed when I ordered because the lady who took my order wasn’t super friendly and I wasn’t able to leave the ham off and add more salami. They stated they will just take it off not add anything. That doesn’t make sense to me. So that is the reason I didn’t give them 5 stars. The food is for sure worthy of 5 stars. The service was not. It was a huge salad. The meal was so huge I couldn’t finish it. All for under $ 13. I would totally order this exact meal again.

Florentina’s is our office’s go to place for good, quick pizza. It’s one of my top 3 in Fresno and this is after having tried about 15 other places around town. It’s good pizza at a good price!

Love the pizza. Hate the service. Won’t accept bills over 20? I order 45 bucks worth of food and they won’t accept a fifty? They actually wanted me to go to the liquor store and buy something to break it! This is America and last time i checked u.s. currency is legally supposed to be accepted everywhere as payment. Last time i go there until they change policy.

The pizza was really good. I was actually surprised to find this place just down the street from my palace. The price was also reasonable. I will for sure be giving them more business.

This is a take out place in a strip mall with very reasonable prices. I have to say this was a great Unilocal find. I come from the land of pizza so i wasn’t too into getting more pizza (so sick of it). So I picked us up some lasagna and a sausage Calzone for my friend. Both were very good and passed for this picky pizza and pasta person. I was pleasantly surprised. I really expected a Unilocal fail for some reason, but it was not. I would definately go back for more lasagna. The marinara to dip the calzone in was very tasty as well.
The salad was a bit iceburg-​y and uneventful. The spiral pasta had WAY too much mayonnaise, neither of us liked it. However the garlic bread was bomb like everyone said. I was like «how good can garlic bread be?» in my head but when i ate it I was like ‘Ohhhhh man they are right!‘
Don’t let all the excessive signage on the outside scare you. This place is a GO!

Since this has become one of my «go-​to» spots lately, it’s time to show them my love. I’ve tried several things on their menu, and have never been disappointed, but what I strongly recommend is their two calzones special. Their calzones are seriously some of the best I’ve had in town, and are an incredible value at only $ 14 for two. Not just that, but you can choose four ingredients from their big list of meats, veggies, cheeses and other toppings. Did I mention that they both come with either soup or salad? Oh, and speaking of soup, they obviously are making their daily soups in-​house. There chicken noodle actually has hand-​made noodles. Good stuff!
We’ve also tried their clam chowder (delicious), their vegetable beef (also good) and a chicken and dumplings soup (VERY good). We’ve ordered pizza before, and a $ 10 large with unlimited toppings is a better deal than most other places. Personal tip though — ask for light cheese. They are pretty heavy-​handed with the cheese. We’ve also ordered the lasagna dinner and the spaghetti with meatball dinner… both were awesome. Also, great value at two dinners for only $ 21 (I’m beginning to sound like an advertisement here…)
The lasagna is one of my personal favorites though because done right, it’s my comfort food. Fresh pasta cooked to perfection (far too many other places have a habit of cooking the pasta to death), generous fillings and lots of cheese. Also, their sauce is really, really good! Nice hints of fennel and oregano with sweet tomatoes and roasted garlic. I’ve actually bought quarts of their sauce when I’m pressed for time and want to do a quick spaghetti or chicken parmesan for dinner. Way better than any of the jarred sauce and cheaper too.
I think they are so good at what they do because their brick and mortar concept is carry-​out only, and they don’t have a very extensive menu. They have their concept dialed, and I applaud their consistently good food. Five stars without reservation…

For take out Italian food, this is the place to go! We enjoy the pizza, calzones, and the pasta dishes. The food is nothing fancy and that’s the best part. It is classic Italian, no frills, but very tasty like home cooking.

Got the lunch special for $ 6.50 (approx) and got such a great deal with a full, satisfied stomach to get trough my school day!

Came here for the first time tonight and we ordered a half deluxe half garlic lovers, this is some good pizza. I like thin crust and crispy but I will def be coming here when I want to mix it up. Fair prices and the people were nice.

This was my first time ordering food from this restaurant. The man I placed the order with over the phone was very friendly and helpful. We ordered a large veggie and combo pizza and breadsticks. The breadsticks were amazing, the dough had an amazing flavor and they we not overcooked. They were so yummy! The pizza was good as well, not my favorite pizza of all time, but it wasn’t bad. The veggies on the pizza were very finely chopped so you don’t get crunchy chunks of veggies, which I prefer. That is really my only complaint, which is really more of a personal preference. Will definitely be back for the breadsticks and friendly service!

Best pizza in town. I love there prices and food. The owners are really nice and personable i love that it is a family owned business. I try to support local business’s.

This is an excellent little place at Armstrong and Shaw. It’s to the left of Savemart near the liquor store. I’ve mentioned this place to people who live in the area and they didn’t know about it because it’s a little hard to find.
The pizza is New York style which is why they don’t make a thin crust… thin crust is not New York style! Duhhhhh
The XL is always on special and its worth it. The crust is NY style soft so be careful holding it, you might get cheese on your lap! It’s delicious and fresh. Try the XL pepperoni and be prepared for a taste explosion! The sauce is a little spicy and so is the Pepperoni. I’ve had the Calzone Pepperoni/​Pineapple and it was amazing. They will put anything in the Calzone you want. Very much worth the price.
This is a busy take-​out place, no tables. The kids are always happy when pzza from Florentina’s is on the table!!!

My absolut favorite lunch is the special. A small two topping pizza, soup and a drink. I usually save the soup for the next day. It is only a take out place but everything is excellent.

This is by far my favorite place in town, I would give them more stars if I could. I usually always order the calzone, it’s my absolute favorite, but I think I’ve had nearly everything on their menu over the years, and it’s all really good food. It’s take out only, and the best deals are the lunch specials. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, I highly recommend this place.

Loose the attitude
Talked to a male at the business regarding a pizza and asked him if they weighed the dough. «Are the dough balls already at a weighed amount and ready to go?» His response was «what are you trying to get to». My response, «if your dough is already pre weighed, can you just cut off a small portion and through it away in oder to make a thinner pizza.» He stated they do not make thin crust pizza.
The downside to this place are:
Poor attitude
Charging extra for a double portion of a topping, however they offer unlimited toppings and that makes no sense
No white sauce offered
No anchovies offered
If you order a «suggested style» pizza, you cannot substitute one topping for another… according to «him»
No thin crust pizzas
I find the pizza excellent in flavor but a bit thick on the dough.

The BEST pizza in the Fresno area. If I could give 6 stars I would… it’s that good. Very reasonable prices, VERY friendly staff. Family owned and you can taste it!

As I search for the best pizza in Fresno, I came across this «Take Out» only spot in Clovis. My first criteria is pulling the first slice. This is a pizza that needs some support so the toppings dont slide off. I like a pizza that just needs a slight fold to support the toppings. Generally a greasy pizza is a floppy pizza, and this one was borderline greasy. I think this pizza had a little to much sauce and not enough cheese. The dough was perfect thickness and doughy-​ness but I dont think it was fresh home made dough. Overall not a bad pizza, but it was better than your chain parlor!

We really loved this pizza! We were shocked because we expected it to be okay due to the inexpensive prices. We got 2 pizzas and they were very tasty. We also ordered breadsticks that definitely hit the spot. We got 2 large pizzas for our big family and we still had leftovers, which makes it even better.
Fast service and friendly people make it even better!

Best pizza I’ve had since I spent a summer in Italy!!! Seriously, I don’t know what it is, but this pizza is always fresh, always tasty, always tastes so good. My favorite is the Pepperoni (aka Pizza Diavola in Italia) but everytime I have Florentina’s pepperoni pizza, it tastes like my favorite ristorante in Torino (where I was staying).
Highly recommend to anyone, also prices are excellent as well. The only downside is takeout-​only, but hey, I would rather eat in the comfort of my own home anyways.
