I always get the dark meat chicken Teriyaki bowl and can never finish it! Delicious, a good value and a healthy choice too. Give them a try; you won’t be disappointed!

The meat is tender and well seasoned in the teriyaki bowls. It’s perfectly cooked, and the portion size is huge.

This place is delicious, quick, and convenient. A plate comes with steamed rice, tempura veggies/steamed veggies, and a small(tiny sauce size cup) of cucumber salad(tangy and slightly sweet). Wish they’d offer it in a bigger size, however you could purchase extra if you’d like. You also get teriyaki sauce of course! The tempura veggies did get soggy by the time we get home though. Haven’t tried the steamed veggies so I can’t say much about it. Try the chicken katsu plate; it’s a great value at about $ 8 a plate(drink not included). Last time I tried the pork katsu, however, it was a bit on the dry chewy side. But it could have just been that time, however I have not tried to order it again since the first time. If you’re out doing shopping and want some teriyaki, give this place a shot!

You get a lot of food here and the Teriyaki Chicken is great. The cucumber salad is always a treat along with the tampura cooked Broccoli. The fried chicken special is great as well.

I haven’t been here in ages but gave them a shot today because my brother in law raves about them ALL the time… to my disappointment the beef bowl had more fat and gristle than actual meat. I was so sad because he’s been playing them up so much! I’d give a lower rating but the staff was really nice and the few pieces of actual meat were quite good. Don’t think I’ll try then again for a while though…

It’s kind of hidden in a shopping plaza. And the place inside is not too big, but there is enough tables for a small crowd. The food is about average, nothing stood out to me. The portions are generous for the price. Overall, I would come back once in a while but it’s not my go to place for teriyaki.

I’ve been coming to Mah’s for the last few years and just now have gotten around to writing a review. The service is average. The lady working the front can sometimes be rude but if you can get past that and onto their food then you should leave a happy camper. Its perfect for those who are trying to be healthy. The chicken terriyaki bowls are plentiful and offer 2 – 3 pieces of vegatables. However, if you want more you can order a side of veggies or just do a combo plate. Its a nice healthy fast food joint kind of place. The prices range from $ 6-$ 14. Could be wrong im sure they are changing all the time. Its definitely a place to try out.

This place is very nice, quiet and easy on the pocket book as far as prices go. They are also very generous with serving portions. This is an Diamond in the Rough, to find such a wonderful place to enjoy Lunch or Dinner. Staff are quick to get your food to you and very friendly to all customers. This is a favorite place for. CHICKENTERIYAKI and Tempura. It is so worth the drive to eat fabulous food such as this place.

Awesome chicken teriyaki bowls. Almost too much to eat. I always get the white meat bowl and they have never disappointed. Flavor is great, and plenty of extra teriyaki sauce and hot sauce if needed.

This would have been a 5 but I only had one piece of brocoli and 2 carrots in my bowl. Got my order to go so I didn’t notice the veggie shortage until I dug in. I got the white meat chicken very tasty and the rice was perfect. The sauce on the side was tasty. All in all not bad wouldn’t say the best in Fresno I had a really good place by the 99 and marks. But this is closer to where I live. I will be back to try the tempura veggies that I saw every one eating just to see how they are.

We used to come here a lot, and I’ve always enjoyed the great food but today was a very different experience. The older woman at the counter was a raging bitch. My wife had asked for some wassabi and she was very rudely told to wait until all the other customers were helped. She waited until there was no line then sent me up to get the wassabi when the old woman practically threw it at me. We had our one-year-old baby with us who naturally had spilled a few pieces of tempura under the highchair. We accidentally left the babies bottle on the table and I had gone back in to get the bottle but I saw her sweeping under the highchair and screaming about it in her native language pointing at the piece of tempura on the floor, when I ask her if she had found a bottle she made the most horrible disgusting scary face and pointed to the beverage bar where the bottle was sitting and scowled at me until I was out the door. It’s really a shame as we have been frequenting this restaurant since it was Pete’s teriyaki and I’ve always had such excellent friendly service and great food. There’s obviously a new owner and with her attitude I don’t think she’ll last very long.

So this is my first review and I made this account because I had to review this place. Came in to order chicken bowl. Lady in front got the order all wrong and ordered me beef bowl. I didn’t say nothing because she spoke very limited English. She snatched my credit card from my hand and ran it before even giving me total so that’s where I got to know that I got beef bowl. Secondly the beef was not done properly, it was very chewy. Will I ever come back: No Was it worth it: No Came with one broccoli and two slices of carrot.

The chicken teriyaki combo plate was amazing! Reminds me of the old fish market that used to serve food in China Town. I tried the shrimp tempura, and didn’t care for that. But the chicken was perfect, no veins or gristle. The tempura veggies were my fave. This is not a fancy restaurant, just a great spot for lunch or take-out, and they are quick to get your order out. Give it a try

Wow this place is pretty good, and I’m kinda disappointed I never came here earlier. This is your typical small, local mom and pop type of restaurant that has a somewhat small menu(compared to other Japanese/Asian places in town) with the typical Teriyaki beef/spicy chicken bowls etc. type of food. What does set this apart from most of the places in town, is that the portions are really huge for the cheap amount they charge. The spare rib plate I ordered was around $ 8 I think, but they gave me a huge portion of it. I usually ALWAYS finish off any plates I am served, but this time I couldn’t even finish it and I was pretty hungry at the time. Service was also pretty friendly when I visited, and was kept pretty clean. I’ll definitely come back to try out their Spicy Crispy Chicken, since I’m still looking for a place that serves it better than Teriyaki Don’s!

Mah’s teriyaki is a very modest establishment from the location to its prominence amongst other restaurants in the Fresno community. However Mah’s teriyaki is illustrative of the fact that simplicity is often times better than over the top extravagance. The quality of food, reasonable prices, relaxed and quite environment makes this place a true treasure. The flavor of the food is always consistently tasty. The portions are always generous as well. My sister and I are petite girls wit huh appetites. The two of us can take down a large pizza by ourselves but we have to share a plate at Mah’s. When I decide to treat my taste buds to Mah’s. I usually order the Katsu Chicken plate with their homemade teriyaki sauce and tempura vegetables. I am extremely critical when it comes to teriyaki sauce and tempura batters. There is no grey area for me it will either be good or not worth my hard earned money. Well, Mah’s tempura is not to floury or too tin it is perfection. The teriyaki sauce is just as great as the tempura. It’s the perfect balance between salty and sweet. It’s not too thick or thin. If you decide to eat at Mah’s teriyaki Express and your taste buds will be dreaming about your next visit

Healthy food, generous portions, delicious and fast, Mah’s teriyaki deserves the 5 stars. The mark of a good restaurant sometimes is not necessarily marked by its size, elegant looks or even its strategic location, rather the quality of its food, its generous portion and most importantly the taste of the food. The teriyaki plates and bowl at Mah’s Teriyaki Express appears simple, but the flavors have remarkable depth. Mah’s Teriyaki is known to have a variety of teriyaki bowl’s and plates that caters all the favorites of grilled meat with this delicious salty sweet teriyaki sauce made right here in the shop. The plate I ordered $ 10(grilled beef teriyaki) which by the way was generously portioned was surprisingly healthy, because I had the choice of either steam or tempura vegetables. In addition, the grilled beef which had a delicious aroma of smokey tender beef is just so delightful, and without the need to be bathed with the high calorie teriyaki sauce because the beef by itself was already juicy and tasty, however if you do love the sauce it could be placed on the side or smothered if you like that(just et the waitress know). I think this place is great for health freaks, gym enthusiasts and even body builders because of the leanness of its meals, yet the taste is not compromised. Don’t get me wrong, this place offers plenty of sinful dining experience with its tempura and its sweet sauce, but you do have an option to go healthy or naughty at Mah’s Teriyaki. The shop is small, but its both clean and tidy– despite having limited space, the restaurant was very pleasant to dine in, and was not overly packed, they had plenty of seatings. The staff greeted me with smiles as warm as the food served here. Also its useful to note that the restaurant works deli style, where you order at the counter and you pick up the order yourself, which saves you from 15% tips. The food was also prepared fast enough(under 5 minutes after ordering), making this place a great quick lunch location too. I know Im certainly returning soon for my next plate.
