I had a wonderful experience at Trelio last night. I order the white shrimp and mascarpone grits and a chef’s starter and salad was included. I indulged in the chocolate tort for dessert. All items were delicious with a high end of freshness, taste, and presentation. Next time I would really like to try the cheesecake. The service was excellent and the waiters and waitress were attentive but not overbearing. I appreciate this since because too much attention can kill a conversation. The atmosphere was nice as well. From the outside it appeared to be a formal dining experience, with possibly classical music playing and minimal talking but once we were seated the upbeat music helped changed my perspective and within 30 minutes the restaurant was filled with patrons. I loved the feel of the full restaurant. The noise level went up slightly but the restaurant still had an intimate feel. This place is great for couples and smaller parties.

This is a gem of the valley! We have several friends from New York who are complete foodies and ask to make sure that’s on our itinerary. The dinner and wine could not be found elsewhere. You won’t be disappointed!

Simply outstanding! As a person who travels for business constantly, I eat out quite a bit. Trelio is by far one of the best dining experiences I have had in a very long time. The population of Clovis, Fresno, and the surrounding area are extremely fortunate to have an establishment of such high caliber like Trelio. For the record, I had a outstandingly prepared Swordfish, resting on a bed of couscous. All of the extras that came with the entrée were also excellent. In addition, the service was flawless!

This is most favorite restaurant in the valley. I love the elegant yet inviting feel of Trelio. Wonderful service, excellent food, if you have a chance to attend one of their wine dinners you are in for quite a treat. This is the restaurant I choose every year for my birthday dinner. I have already made reservations for this year. I adore the port chop. I have had it several ways, each dish as delicious as the others. Don’t forget to try the amazing desserts.

Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Hands down, one of the best restaurants in town. The waitress was attentive but gave us plenty of space, water was always full and never were our drinks empty. The food was amazing! The chef himself even came to the table and asked what he could do to make it better, our response, NOTHING. Make sure you have a reservation, both times we have been here to eat it’s been full. Once you eat here you will understand why. Take the one you love on a date and treat yourself to a fabulous dinner! Simply put, OUTSTANDING!

Four of us had dinner last nite for the first time, first of all when we arrived it was nice & cool inside! Ended up @ a nice table in the window(great), our waiter was adorable, all the wait staff are very well groomed & very attentive & friendly! We really liked the ambiance & décor, noise level wasn’t bad @ all. Our dishes were tasty & beautiful, nice quaint sized restaurant. Loved it & do recommend!

We’ve walked by this restaurant countless times, strolling down Clovis Avenue, always saying, «one of these days…» Finally decided to have a nice evening out with a nice meal. What dorks for waiting so long. The food was excellent from start to finish, and I truly felt like a «guest». It was friendly and not pretentious. However with the level of food served, they had every right to be stuffy with noses aloft… but no… it was more like a friendly neighborhood hangout(if that hangout served phenomenal food and wine)!!! Thank you Trelio! We’ll be back soon!

I took my wife here for our anniversary and I have to say that I was very impressed. Service was awesome and even more was the food. I had the venison medallions while my wife had the crab cakes. The crab cakes were fresh and the venison was cooked to perfection. The flavors they present here are amazing and creative. Great wine selection. The atmosphere allowed us to have an intimate connection. This was one if the best experiences we have had in years. Compliments to the chef!

Best restaurant in the Fresno/Clovis area. Service is incredible and the food is ridiculous. Reminds me of some of the quaint restaurants I frequented when I lived in San Francisco. We try to keep this on our date night rotation every couple of months. The wine list as well as the knowledgeable staff takes the guess work out of picking just any wine. Could not recommend more!

What a gem! Charming atmosphere in the downtown Clovis area and the service was outstanding — — staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and personable. As I understand, their menu changes regularly but I don’t think you can go wrong. I had the pork chops with macaroni and cheese, a friend had the snapper and another had scallops. We were all over the moon pleased! I am not sure if the dessert menu also changes but if the bread pudding topped with house made cinnamon ice cream is listed, you can’t leave without it in your belly. Seriously.

I’ve been here plenty of times and never actually have gotten around to reviewing them. This is probably one of the best restaurants in Fresno/Clovis and hands down a great dining experience. The successful locally owned restaurants not only take pride in the owners getting to know their customers and giving them top notch cuisine but they also know how to train their staff to be extensions of them and know how to educate, describe and create enthusiasm to the customer for what they are about to experience or eat. The owners of this fine establishment have done just that. Most of their servers have been with the restaurant for a long time which tells you a lot. They are into food. They’ve tried everything and know how to describe it to the discerning diner. I think that this what makes a difference between a good fine dining restaurant and an excellent one. Locally sourced ingredients, creative dishes and one of the best wine lists in the valley make this place one of my favorites for a nice dinner out with my wife and taking out of town visitors to. Sorry that I’m not talking about any one dish on this review. Other reviewers have done that. I want to share my overall experiences over the years to give you my opinion of why this is a place to go to. If you’re going to spend your money on reasonably priced fine dining in Fresno, think no more.

We been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally we came for my fiancé birthday. I ordered the fried eggplant. It was delicious. Including our sides I forgot the names of them. We also ordered desert it was just as amazing as our meal ice cream brûlée. Bomb! I’m looking forward to returning.

So far the best restaurant in Clovis, friendly environment, good service and good food. Not much option on the menu but definitely you will find something delicious to eat and to add they have foie gra. Will sure recommend to friends to visit this place.

What a great restaurant! Sad they’re only open for dinner though. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming. We were celebrating a couple different things and this was the perfect intimate spot to go. We browsed the menu and everything looked good but also a bit expensive. Honestly the price is worth the experience you get. Our server was patient with our wine selection as we all wanted different types but he recommended a bottle since we were all having the steak. We tried different ones to find the perfect one which I always love because I have ordered wine in some places and I have not enjoyed it because I wasn’t sure what I was getting. My friends and I couldn’t decide between the scallops and the steak so we decided to order a steak plate for each of us and one order of the scallops for the table. They start everyone off with honeydew gazpacho. Weird sounding but it was absolutely delicious and you really want to savor each bite.(It’s included with every meal) Then we were served a salad with champagne vinaigrette, blue cheese, fennel and a couple other things but that was good as well. The steak was medium rare«chef’s choice» and I usually like my meat medium well, but the meat was soft, not chewy and absolutely delicious. It was a good serving size and I was full off of that. Paired well with our red wine Turley I believe. For dessert we had the flourless chocolate cake. With raspberry jam on the side. What a perfect ending to the dinner. It was like eating extremely soft fudge. I will most likely return and have already recommended to others.

I ate here a few months ago and I only recall a single dish that stood out. We ordered a number of appetizers, entrees, and a few desserts. The lobster dish was outstanding. If I were to ever come back, it would be strictly for this dish. So why only three stars? We ordered several items off the menu and I felt that against the volume, one incredible dish did not make up for all the others that were just okay. The service was good. I was quite fond of the space and ambiance.

My wife and I moved to Clovis from the Bay Area two years ago. We had tried some of the more popular local spots like Cracked Pepper and Max’s but were always disappointed with the quality compared to price. Then we tried Trelio. At first, the menu seemed simple but we ordered and hoped for the best. I ordered the steak medallions and my wife had the pork chop. I was not aware, at the time, of how truly complex the menu was. As we waited for our meal the staff were always on point. We were presently surprised with the service. After having a wonderful meal, we asked if they had openings on New Year’s. Unfortunately they were booked. A testimony to repeat business. My wife and I have been back to Trelio 2 times and both experiences have been just as good as the first. This is quite literally our favorite restaurant in the Fresno/Clovis area. We recommend this restaurant to anybody who asks but we tell them to call for reservations.

WOW! Just WOW! I was so excited to try this place based on all the great reviews and amazing food photos posted and let me tell you all… I was not disappointed. I went in a small party of three and we shared a salad, crab cakes, and two main dishes, BOMB. Oh yeah, and dessert!!! The mac n cheese was the BEST I’VEEVERHAD, literally brought tears to my eyes. Like seriously. The restaurant is really small and intimate, super adorable, great for dates and small parties. Also be prepared to spend a pretty penny. I will definitely be back and recommend that everyone tries it at least once, you will not regret it.
