Disappointing. Typical hibachi fare. Rushed service. Completely unentertaining chef. Our party of four showed up at 9:00 on a Thursday night. We weren’t sure if they were still serving so we asked and the hostess said yes. Disappointingly we were seated with two other couples that had already had their soup and salads and the chef was well into cooking the rice. This would have been fine if the chef had any notable table side demeanor or showmanship. Because let’s face it, when you go to a hibachi place you expect to be entertained. But there was zero banter or showmanship from our chef. No onion volcano. No flipping the shrimp tails into his hat. No fancy knife tossing. Nothing. Not even any attempt to engage with the guests. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Unfortunately this is going on my expanding list of Cocoa beach restaurants that really need to try much, much harder.

My husband and I ate their last night. We were greeted and seated immediately. Waitress was pleasant. My husband has food allergies and waitress had someone else come over and speak to us. Made sure our chef was aware. It was also our anniversary. Food portions were large and the scallops were excellent. Vegetables cooked perfectly. Chef was soft spoken and did nice job. My husband got fuzzy naval snd I had a coconut runner. Not skimpy on alcohol either. Definitely recommend. Oh yea, since it was our anniversary they brought us a nice price of cake too! We will go back.

Have been there 3 times since I was introduced to it a month ago. Food is very fresh, portions are huge and the staff is very friendly. Plan to visit often

Up beat polite staff, small intimate setting(only 4 hibachi tables) good prices for hibachi, sushi was a tad pricey but still satisfied by the overall atmosphere of the place :)

Walked in immediately greeted by friendly hostess. I just walked to grab some quick sushi. The sushi bar isn’t that impressive unfortunately. Menu is really plain Jane stereotypical sushi menu. The sushi was good for the money but didn’t really taste fresh. Long story short… this steakhouse is more for hibachi not really sushi.

The food was fantastic. The jokes and puns were right up my preteen’s alley. Because the chef put it on they plates, both kids tried the shrimp and loved it. The helper staff is not very obtrusive and showed up just enough. Read a one star review before going from a gluten intolerant vegan… why? It’s a rice and steak place. It’s good food. Great prep and showmanship

I tend to eat a variety of Asian cuisine pretty much every day. I love it all. This didn’t quite make the list of bests. Got combination filet and scallop takeout. The restaurant is very small, 4 tables. Seems clean with friendly staff. Filet was chopped up into tiny chunks and was rubbery. It was well done, although I ordered rare. Might sound hard to do, but plenty of others have gotten that right. Scallops were great. Veggies were cooked right. Ginger dressing was good, but the shrimp sauce was really tangy. Shrimp appetizer was dry and not saucy like most places serve it. They didn’t give me the soup that was supposed to be included. The salad is nothing special. Dressing is salty. Overall, meh. I would rather go to Hoikkaido up the street.

Nutshell– Good food, good value, not great service. We arrived and were rushed into the hibachi area where we were seated with three people who were apparently already on their salads. The waitress hurriedly asked what we wanted to drink and if we were ready to order. This was our first visit so we wanted to look at the menu for a minute which must’ve ticked her off. My husband ordered a beer then went to the restroom. When she came back she asked again if we were ready to order(yep hubby was still in the restroom). I told her I wasn’t sure what he wanted but he should be back in a minute to which I got a dirty look. He sits down, she comes back, he orders and she rips the menu out of his hand! He was so pissed he wanted to leave but I got him calmed down finally. The nice hibachi guy came and we had a great meal. We had to go to the front counter to order another drink but all was well during dinner. The only time our server ever smiled was when she dropped off the check. We might go back but god forbid if they seat us later than the others at our table.

Food was not worth the price. Staff does not smile or make you feel invited. Was expecting a great experience based on the reviews, but I was wrong. I was starving so I know it wasn’t me. I hate leaving negative reviews but I have to be honest. I also noticed the waitress take my USED napkin and wipe off the TOP of the salt shaker in front of me, if they did something that unsanitary right in front of me no matter what they do behind closed doors. I also got sick as a dog that dog night and the only thing I ate that entire day was this place so I know it was bc of my meal. Food was cooked horribly, the rice was hard and the hibachi chef said maybe two words and was extremely boring. please stay away and alert the board of health.

Here in CoCo Beach just for overnight, waiting to board cruise tomorrow morning. Since no sushi on ship, figured this was the last chance for awhile to have it. Surprisingly very good. Excellent dragon roll, hibachi superb. Resonantly priced. Highly recommended.

Since my favorite hibachi place shut down this has been my go to place. Love the small atmosphere and the authenticity of management.

Horrible service. Lady was extremely rude. We had gluten free vegetarian with us requested meat cooked away from her seafood. Lady says why you have allergies. Rude and threw menu at her. NEVER going back.

I have visited this place twice to have dinner. I have yet to eat there. lol On my first occasion, Went in and it took about 3 minutes to be greeted. Finally when somoene came over, I let her know that we wanted sushi not hibachi. She gave attitude and took us to our table where she threw the menus on table… YEAH not happening so we left. On 7÷15÷15 Decided to try one more time… WELL walked in and again was not greeted for about 3 minutes(place is small, no reason for it). The sushi chef kept looking at the ladies while they talked and ignored us. We decided on hibachi and server finally came about 5 feet from us and we were seated. Looked over menu and decided to split a hibachi meal and order some sushi. I asked her for a sushi menu and before I could finish, she turned her back and walked away. Came back with a menu that was the smallest sushi menu I have ever seen. You actually have to write on the paper menu. I explained to the«lady» that we had a few orders of each and not enough room to write on paper, so she may like to write it down on her pad of paper. She stared at me and turned her back to walk away. I actually stopped her and then we got up and left. There is no way I will pay $ 25 – 30 for a meal with the service they have. I will never return!

The food was very good, service was decent but they did not put on a show while cooking the food like most Japanese steakhouses.

Mediocre at best, service was horrible steak was ok, sushi is bland with only the main ingredient ie salmon, imitation crab etc. rice and a cheap ass seaweed. The cooks presentation and quality of food is not even close to what you pay for! Stick to Kobe this place is not worth the price

Yeah, not that impressive. Generous portions of underseasoned food. Sirloin was not a bad piece of meat. Couldn’t tell if the chef was super grumpy or super deadpan. Tricks were standard, he did 4 or 5 and then cooked in silence for the rest of the meal. Overall, the food tastes like salt and oil and not much else. The best part was, they rushed us through our meal, so we only had to endure for 30 minutes or so. Won’t go back.

Very pleasantly surprised by this place. We were craving Asian food after a long cruise and stopped by. From the outside it looks a little cheesy and inside there is only four tables and one private one. However the show was well performed — better than any larger scale operation. The prices were great and they didn’t Nickel and dime you for things like fried rice. Best of all the food was fresh and tasted excellent — seasoned properly and cooked to perfection. I was very pleasantly surprised by this place and will come back if I am ever in the area again.

I’d been meaning to try this place for years and finally did. It’s fairly small inside compared to some of the other Japanese steakhouses I’ve been to but the food was just as good. I ordered the chicken and shrimp and it was good. They bring you miso soup and a ginger dressing salad while you wait. The usual items are cooked in front of you: veggies(zucchini, onion, mushrooms, etc.), an onion volcano for the kiddos and a shrimp appetizer(2 shrimp). The one addition to the normal items I usually get at these places is fried noodles. There are only 4 grills so it fills up quickly but the place gets an extra nudge into 4 stars due to it’s location so near the beach.
