I came here for Valentine’s, as my boyfriend had never tried tapas. We were excited to try it out and ordered five of their tapas dishes. Three of which were the $ 1.99 ‘bites’, as they call them. They all came out cold, despite their being fried(the goat cheese) or cooked(the sausage with egg). Also, I feel silly for having thought that actual crab meat would’ve been so cheap but the«Tsaka Vaka»(pronounced Chaka Vaka) was imitation crab, or krab, not crab meat as it was listed on their menu. For the the other two dishes we had ordered the garlic shrimp was ok, and the Andalusian calamari unremarkable. At this point I decided not to order a main dish for myself and just shared the mahi on rice. It tasted pretty terrible, almost as if it were microwaved since it had a distinct flavor of hot plastic. Lastly, we ordered a liter of sangria, which was good as it had gotten me tipsy enough to still leave happy. Though, I was already happy because of the company I was with. All in all, we won’t be returning.

We were visiting the Cocoa Beach area in February 2016 and came across this gem. We had seafood paella, the house red wine and a couple of small plates while waiting for paella which takes extra time because they cook it in house the right way. It was well worth the wait! Chorizo small plate was the perfect starter. Charming wait staff, and an overall nice experience Highly recommended !!

Loved the food here! The place is kind of hidden in the shopping center, but totally worth it. Super friendly staff — ask for Ana! I had a pork chop and goat cheese dish that was fantastic! Tapas are delicious and the sangria spot on.

During our family vacation we decided last minute to try to get a New Year’s Eve dinner reservation. I called Barcelona Tapas and they were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived around 7:30 and the place was reasonably crowded, but our table was reserved. With 5 of us, it was a bit cramped(a table for four with an extra chair at the end), but considering it was a last minute reservation, it was quite reasonable. A nearby larger table emptied soon after we had ordered, and we asked if we could be moved. No problem! They cleared the other table, moved us, and shortly our meals arrived. We ordered two paella, one for two, the second for three. For the five of us and it was the perfect size and tasted fresh and delicious, with an authentic tasting spice palate. We also ordered the Catalan bread, which I highly recommend. The owner stopped by to personally check on us, which is a very nice touch and shows he is engaged in the running of the business and satisfaction of the customers. If we are ever back in Cocoa Beach, we will definitely eat there again. Thanks to Unilocal for helping us find it. I would never have even noticed it in the Publix shopping center if we’d just been driving around looking for a place to eat.

My friends and I are looking for new venues for our GNOs. When my friend suggested this place I quickly read the reviews here. It sounded great. Where did the other reviewers eat? The sangria is delicious but it does not taste as if there is any wine involved. My one friend ordered the roast pork and a few others salmon. Their meals were adequate, though skimpy. The rest of us wanted to experience tapas and ordered the tapas platter. Big mistake. It consisted of a frozen empanada, a frozen croquetta, and then different bites of cheese and ham on very big pieces of bread. It was like a bread platter. Which normally would be great as I love bread. But this bread wasn’t that great either. The food is not the worst part of this place either. The. Service. Is. Very. Slow. And. Not. Great. When I sat down I ordered the sangria as reviewers on this site raved about it. After sitting for awhile the card with the specials was turned around to face me by a friend. The special is two ham croquettes with your sangria. I did not get them. When I asked I was told I didn’t order them. I had to order another glass to get the special. Not worth it. They were very cold. Probably someone did not set the microwave timer correctly. The good part of the service? You don’t have to do any math. The gratuity is added on to your bill. I’m sure it’s the only way they can get tips. I would give this place zero stars if it was an option. Horrible frozen food served cold very slowly. The only positive: they were playing Sinatra.

Lots to like here, but a few issues. First the good… the staff is very friendly and attentive. The venue is very nice, despite being tucked away in a Publix shopping plaza. And the Sangria is refreshing and delicious. Now the rest… my group ordered the tapas sampler, and the selections were very flavorful, but the ones that were cooked weren’t hot, like they’d been prepared 2 hours earlier. Tasty, but they would have been better if heated through. On to the entrees… The lobster stew was delicious. The Spanish chicken libritos was also very good, although more sauce would have helped in my opinion. The side vegs and salad were a very nice touch and simply delicious. The paella was a bit bland for me, but the seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. 3 and ½ stars for me, but 5 stars are easily within reach.

Nice décor, good Spanish red wine, great service. The food was just average sorry to say. A good place for a quick glass of wine and a quick bite. Not sure what the wooden plates are all about, would prefer china, I’m sure they would accommodate.

Liked what we had, although my spouse thought the Barcelona Roasted Pork tasted a little off, as in the pork wasn’t fresh. Rest of the food was excellent, though. Good, friendly service.

We Unilocaled nearby places to grab dinner and decided to try something different. The wine menu was different, however giving our awesome waitress what we normally enjoy(pinot noir) she directed us to a great selection. My wife’s biggest obstacle was not having any idea what to order. She decided on the goat cheese salad. She raved about it. I had read the banana olé was delicious and decided to satisfy my inner fat kid with this delectable treat. The banana olé was awe inspiring. I think I heard angles singing as it as presented. The actual banana was excellent. It came with whipped cream, chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Get it if you at all enjoy sugary treats!

Okay food. Slow service, the wait between taking orders, drinks, appetizers, main course was looooong and sporadic. Maybe we were unlucky and came at a busy(half empty) night.

I had the pleasure of visiting here on a one night stay before a cruise. My food, wine, and service were excellent. I had the salmon and it was excellent. I wish I could go back every week.

This is my second visit within a year and is on my must visit list when I am in the area. I absolutely love their sangria. No matter what I choose for dinner, I have to have at least a glass of this. It is crisp and fruity without being too bold. Each time I have come the empanada has been a different type of meat. The food is delicious without being heavy.

I was excited about all the good reviews but the food was mediocre at best. The service was pretty bad. The waitress couldn’t give any details about the items on the menu. And the manager stopped by the other two tables on either side of us about four times to our once. But I’ll tolerate bad service if the food is worth it. Unfortunately, that is what disappointed me the most. The tapas seems like an extremely good deal at $ 2 each, but you would be better just skipping it. We ordered the Christorra and the Montadito Txaca Vasca. First off, you only get one piece with no extra plates or utensils to share it with. The piece of bread they were served on was bland especially when you know the Publix next door sells better bread. The empenada we ordered never showed up. We ordered the seafood paella based on all the good reviews. The waitress said it was made to order and would take 30 minutes which sounded like a good thing. It wasn’t. The seafood was so over cooked, it was like chewing beef jerky. They didn’t even give us a bowl to discard the shells. The rice was good though. This was the second time I’ve had paella. First time was from the Columbia chain in Florida. That blew this stuff away. Really, if you wanted over priced over cooked seafood I would go to Red Lobster. So in the end, if you really like well made, flavorful food I would skip this place. If you like chain restaurants and want to try something different, then this is a good deal for the price.

We had tapas and an amazing paella. We had the seafood paella for two and we loved it. Sharon, our waitress was very helpful and attentive. The tapas happy hour of 1.99 is not a side dish, it’s per piece so each item on your plate is 1.99. The ham croquette, empanada, goat cheese w/tomato and serrano ham are good. They are located in the same shopping center as Publix and are closed on Monday. Happy hour is 5:00 to 7:00PM.

Excellent. Fried goat cheese and tomato and Txaca vasca tapas. Then garlic chicken and skirt steak entrees. Four glasses of their delicious sangria. Crema Catalana and banana olé for dessert with two cups coffee. Service was fantastic with very friendly and helpful waitress. If I’m ever in the area again I would definitely go again. $ 77 before tip

This was my first time eating at a Tapas restraint. I was super impressed. Me and my date both got $ 5 sangrias, which were two for one due to happy hour. We tried each of the $ 2 tapas and reordered some of our favorites(I can’t recall the names but you really can’t go wrong with any of the options). The bill for that came to less than $ 20 and we were both impressed beyond belief. We also ordered the banana olé and chocolate crêpe dessert. Those were a little pricier but very good. The banana olé was especially noteworthy, neither of us had ever tried anything like it before. They had a full menu with entrees that to me seemed a bit pricey, but perhaps not so much for that area. Not sure why anyone would order the expensive entrees when the tapas are so good and so cheap anyway. My only gripe about the restaurant is that we were traveling through so it is not local. Seriously, this is the best new food I have had in a long time and wish I could go back! If you are traveling through or local to the area you really should give this place a shot.

If you love Spanish tapas, this is a great little gem in Cocoa Beach. They have a good little selection of tapas and Spanish appetizers… And the paella was awesome. It takes about 25 minutes to come out but that is because they aren’t skimping, they are making it right which takes time and is worth the wait. Order a few appetizers and you won’t even notice the time. 4 of us shared the paella for 2 along with several appetizers and it was plenty of food. I truly hope this little place makes it. It’s a great alternative to all the beachy fried fish type places you typically find in a beach town.

Authentic tapas with excellent service. Nice décor even if conveniently tucked into a Publix Strip Mall!
