Samuel Bates House

The Samuel Bates house hides two fully furnished apartments. One sleeps 5+, the other 4+. Each unit with a full sized kitchen, washer dryer, sitting and dining area. The location in the center of tiny Cohasset is great for anyone attending a wedding on the South Shore of Boston or at the popular Red Lion Inn in Cohasset. The listed rates are 1,500 a week, monthly and nightly rates are available on request. My family stayed here in the summer of ’11 for several weeks to be close to family and it was a fantastic experience. Parking is simple and free behind the Main St. frontage. The units sit over Bia’s and an outdoor clothing store. Bia’s is wel known and loved for lunch and dinner and should be on your list for local dining. The units are clean and very well appointed, across the street is a local quick mart for your eggs, milk and butter. You can see the interior pictures here:
There is limited basic cable and free WiFi, but the signal is weak, don’t count on it for a robust internet connection. Cell service in Cohasset in general is middling to poor, but a TMobile hot spot did get a full 4G.
