What started as a cool little coffee pantry with coffee and teas, supplies for brewing etc. Has become a beer store that happens to sell coffee. And a few sweets. My last 3 visits here the place is different every time. I now only stop in because I go to the Marbled Meat shop next door. Too bad this was a cool spot.

What an adorable little place! I didn’t order coffee or a snack so my review is based only on the alcoholic beverages I purchased. I bought two ciders being that it is autumn. I was pleasantly surprised to see that both were made from Hudson Valley apples. I bought the ginger one for my husband and fly myself, the lavender. Both were awesome. I will have to go back when I have more time because I am a true coffee snob and theirs looked great. The fact that they sell a book about the making of Blue Bottle Coffee is a good indicator :)

Great coffee, great service and they serve beer! What’s not to love! They have a little sitting area that’s great to hang out in also. We came and got some drinks got some of our kids homework done too. Plus grabbed food for dinner at Vera’s(amazing doughnuts) and meat from the butchers shop.

Great café stop for cyclists! Stopped in at the Pantry today during my morning training ride for a coffee and quick snack. After checking out the menu, I decided to go with the iced pour over coffee and an egg sandwich with spinach, American, mozzarella, on an English muffin. The order came out quickly, and very hot and fresh, just the way you would want an egg sandwich to be. The coffee was top notch and absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and helpful, and prices were reasonable for what you’re getting. Would have been 5 stars if the menu selection was a little bigger, but overall no complaints, and will return soon!

I’m from the area so I stopped in quickly to get an iced tea on my way in to visit family. I was also interested to check out this new small biz in my favorite little town. When I arrived the woman at the register was talking to 2 customers and it seemed like they all knew each other pretty well. They were halfway through their coffees, and had clearly been chatting for a while. I wasn’t greeted when I came in, and had to stand there and listen to the conversation that kept going, a minute or 2 passed by, I still was not greeted. The girls that had their coffee looked at me and sort of stepped aside, still the woman behind the counter did NOT look at me or take my order. I had my wallet in my hand and was looking directly at her. After literally waiting 4 minutes I decided to turn around and leave, why should I pay $ 4.50 for an iced tea AND have to wait to listen to an entire conversation about travel tips? As I turned around to leave with my hands up in the air she said, «I’m sorry did you want something?». If you don’t realize that when someone walks into your store, looks at menu briefly, holds wallet in hand and literally STARES at you clearly wants to order something then you have no business running a business! That was my first and last visit to the Pantry-if you want to go somewhere where you don’t feel like an intruder go to the coffee shop on Main Street in Cold Spring. they don’t make you feel like they are doing you a favor by taking your order.

Why can they not brew a proper cup of coffee? Every time I’ve bought a cup there, it’s kind of small, way too strong and pricey. There’s always a layer of iridescent oil floating on top. Acidly bitter with thick sludge in the bottom does not equal a delicious cup, no matter how you brew it. Their cappuccinos always have too much milk, a fancy latte art piece on top, but no foam. If I wanted a latte, I’d order one. I’m glad they offer artisanal coffee from a bunch of different roasters, but they rotate through so many different kinds that I can never find the one I like when I go back. Can someone PLEASE call an end to the unfinished/reclaimed wood fad in décor? I’m so sick of getting splinters in my butt and snags in my clothes from all the rough wood. Tables here are made of old doors and shutters complete with peeling paint and rusty hinges. For what they charge for a cup of coffee, I think they can afford real tables and chairs instead of what they found at the dump.

I love Vera’s, when it’s open. The coffee is out of this world! However, it doesn’t open until 8am. I’m not sure if the clientele is mostly soccer mom’s or truckers but most of the working people in this community are early risers who commute to NYC or Westchester. This is not only my disappointment with Vera’s but one that is shared my many who drive by early each morning and stop to get a cup of joe at the Shell station. Please Vera’s, rethink your business hours. I would love to start my mornings with your coffee!

Great little coffee/craft beer bar with a nice selection of sweet and savory items as well. Check out the home brewing as well as all the home coffee Conosuer needs. Only place I know I can buy heart, blue bottle or intelligentsia under one roof. Also check the new meat shop housed in the rear. One tip for the owners, please make pricing on merch alittle easier to find. Thanks!

Nice coffee shop next door to a nice farmer’s market that’s well known to the regulars who’ve been coming for years. The coffee shop added a juice bar and has a spinning studio now. They continue to grow as they expand their options. Recently they added beer and wine to the menu. They also combine ingredients from the market next door to come up with new menu items. My only peeve is that prices aren’t consistent. I went in Sunday and bought two 16 oz iced mochas and was charged $ 9. Came back two days later and paid $ 10.50 for the identical order. Prices definitely need to be clearer on their board too as it’s hard to guess if you’re paying the right amount so I didn’t say anything.

Karma is a b. And so is your hostess! Four of us stopped here to gather our thoughts. We did a total of $ 9.5 business and sat down for 5 minutes. I paid my $ 2.5 with $ 3 in cash, fully intending to feed the tipping jar with my change. She took the$ 3 and said absolutely nothing and just turned away. I thought if saying something, but why if I can tell the unfortunate hundreds dropping off their kids at Surprise Lake Camp two minutes from here. Find some other place. Incidentally, a bottled water and a granola bar was $ 7 for my friend. Way overpriced!

These folks are serious about coffee and produce Melbourne-level espresso drinks. Definitely worth a trip. I recommend getting a 150° Cortado.

I am not sure were they think they are. If this was on some really trendy street in Manhattan or maybe Park Slope Brooklyn I would have given more stars. I still wouldn’t shop there, but I would understand the concept. They have this really expensive coffee shop on an industrial section of route 9 attached to a farm market that isn’t really even a great farm market. The Coffee Pantry sells little small bags of coffee with fancy names I never heard of before. I guess they figured it works for Starbucks. They also have little pieces of quiche and some sort of finger foods for some outrages price. To be honest I didn’t see any thing that interested me at all. To put it in perspective for me, I stop in to get something to eat and a coffee before work. I asked if they sold bagels, sandwiches or muffins or anything that resembled breakfast. They looked at me like I had lost my mind. So the place looks like it is run by young social media types that have left the other reviews. I am sure they will add more after this one to tell you how wrong I am. If you are looking for trendy places that are cool go to main street Beacon or Cold Spring. If I owned this shop that’s were I would move it to. ps — check out how many other reviews the people that left many stars have. You can tell they are the owners.

I always appreciate people who make the effort to serve good quality food and drinks. The coffee here is superb! The food menu is limited to several pressed sandwiches and baked goods but all delicious. They recently added veggie juices using the vegetables from Vera’s next store which all makes good sense. Love the décor and the staff are very friendly. My only difficulty is that it is a bit on the expensive side which often makes me pause about stopping in. I am sure it is hard to find the balance of quality and price when trying to operate a business.

I really enjoy this spot. It improves my mood just walking in. The staff is so friendly and very knowledgable about the coffee they brew and sell. They are very accommodating for early morning commuters and Sunday afternoon patrons. They offer interesting and delicious snacks! Give them a try you will not be disappointed.

I am always glad to have another local small independently owned coffee shop to patronize. Cold Spring Coffee Pantry is brand spankin’ new having only just opened last week. Serving Irving Farm coffee as well as in house made croissant sandwiches, one is even made with the next door business’s fresh mozzarella, CSCP may quickly become my go to new lunch spot! And they offer soy milk. :))) The prices are a little high, such as $ 4 for an iced coffee I have to fix up myself including putting a straw in it but I guess it is what it is. Free WiFi too. :)))
