Ended up here because there were long waits at some of the seated cafes on the street. Gave up and decided to just order some paninis from cup o chino. With a name like that I didn’t have high hopes! As it turns out our two panini sandwiches(turkey melt and cubano) were awesome! Seemed like quality meats and also good veges like roasted peppers. Also had a piece of pecan pie(ok) and an apple turnover(good). Service is a bit disorganized but it doesn’t really matter — you order and pay at the counter and seat yourself. If you want something quick and cheat that is good this place fits the bill.

Picked up some hot chocolates here and sat on one the the benches outside to relax and do some people watching. Staff was ok. Not overly friendly as they are really just a bunch of young kids but pleasant enough. Nice little coffee nook. Pastries, ice creams, paninis, hot and cold drinks, etc. Clean place with some seating inside and a few spots to chill at outside. Worth a stop in after walking around town and shopping at all the antique shops in the area.

Very long wait…20 mins plus for a panini? Not so great service. It was not so busy either… everything took so long…

Last weekend we had two panini’s for lunch; Mediterranean and Chipotle Chicken. Both were very disappointing in taste and quality; just regular white bread(I asked for choice while ordering) with meat and cheese. I expected much better from this neat café which had everything else going for it; sorry won’t recommend.

To fuel up before my hike up Breakneck Ridge, I got a Cubano panini to go. I would NOT recommend getting a sandwich here. The bread was really hard and thick and wouldn’t come apart with each bite. The meat seemed a little old, and my tummy felt a little uneasy after that. Nevertheless, there’s a pretty clean bathroom here for your pre/post-hiking needs.

ICE-CREAM! Home-made lavender ice-cream. That is all. Incredible. Go get some. Everything else looked amazing too!

What did the ham and cheese panini say to the customer at Cupoccino café? It said, «Don’t buy me, I’m disgusting». All jokes aside, this particular sandwich I recently ordered here might as well have been a replacement shingle for a roof. The bread was hard, not in the grilled crispy way, but more like in the, ‘I sat out on the counter overnight’ kind of way. Anyways, that’s just the first layer. As we go deeper into the core of this atrocity, we reach the cheese. The cheese was clearly thrown on the sandwich after the grilling process, when my sous chef realized that fifty percent of the ingredients were missing. Luckily this cold cheese was of a more pliable cut, likely Kraft, instead of the harder Gruyère it should have been. Otherwise, the situation would have been much more unmanageable. Finally we get to the backbone of this pauper panini — the ham. I honestly wonder if they were having a competition that day to see how quickly they could smuggle a whole pig out the café via the stomachs of their customers, because the slices were just that thick, and thus cold as well. It was actually hilarious that they presented the sandwich to me in a tin foil wrapping, as if there was any heat to preserve. As I unwrapped the specimen and pulled in for a bite, it’s diametrically opposed ingredients slid across each other awkwardly, like seals battling for dominance in the arctic. It only took one bite to realize that I had made a terrible mistake. At this point, I was running late for my hike and figured I would at least use the restroom considering that’s just about all I paid for. What I didn’t realize is that trip would lead me through a maze around their dish room, but only after waiting 30 minutes for half the population of Cold Spring to cycle through first. But hey, I guess it wouldn’t be a chill, hole in the wall café without that experience! Cuppocino, stick to brewing coffee!

Came here for a hot cup of something caffeinated after a long day of hiking in the snow(at Breakneck Ridge). Ended up with a hot buttered rum latte which satisfied my cravings. Staff was not that friendly. Shrug.

We came to cold spring for a day trip and ended up at this coffee shop to relax after shopping for a few hours. Loved their hot chocolate and pecan cake. Such a cute and cozy coffee shop with a nice selection of staff. Two of the waitresses were college students and we had a nice discussion about the neighborhood.

I know this is a coffee shop so I should have known better. I arrived around noon and saw the Philadelphia Cheese Steak on the menu and asked how it was. After hearing how good it was I decided to give it a try. The word horrible is being friendly. Imagine panini bread so hard that when you bite down everything inside falls out. Peppers and onions which were crunchy, and very average meat. But the tipping point for me was using Velveeta cheese as opposed to provolone. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this«sandwich» a zero.

Come on guys this is probably the best place to go for bathroom(long line) and a quick snack with drinks. The snack I meant by 20 types of cookie and brownies on the block. Seriously all the sugar crap you would want after that 1400ft ascend. I have to think twice if I should get it. And when you go in, there’s this 10 ice cream selections. Price is ok but always can be better. There are 4 to 5 people rushing in the back pour drink for these people with ridiculous latte request. Over all, this place is not meant for your nice brunch place. Instead, its for that quick in and out café.

Spent a rainy day in Cold Spring yesterday with friends, and this cute little café was just what we needed to warm us up! The staff was friendly, the lattes were extra foamy, and the assortment of pastries was delightful. The pumpkin pie was just like grandma makes and the cookies were huge and fattening. Perfect.

This place serves some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Highly recommend the peanut butter fudge and the mint chip. The peanut butter fudge has a great, rich, natural peanut butter taste. The mint chip tastes like peppermint patties. Super good.

Very friendly, young staff. Great place to stop at after hiking breakneck ridge to grab a coffee, smoothie, cookie or tea. Prices were reasonable. I will come back and when I do I will try the items on their food menu. Thank you!

Being in Cold Spring for a day of hiking, we had waited on eating so we could try something up there before we hit the trail. My daughter had been here before and suggested it, I agreed hoping to find something delicious. There were three options for me in the Panini section(A Mediterranean, a veggie and an eggplant), I chose the veggie, honestly not expecting much since vegetarian options are always a second thought in any non-vegetarian restaurant. When the Panini came out I was surprised at how nicely sized it was. It looked delicious. I found that it was in fact quite delicious as well, the bread was perfect, the basil dressing, the veggies, honestly I was quite delighted with it! Since two other people in my party ordered the other two options I got a chance to try those out as well. All Panini’s were great! We also had dessert, blueberry pie, it was OK. However the vanilla cupcake with the cream cheese ginger and cinnamon frosting was DELISH! After the hike we came back for some coffee and tea. Now, this place is overpriced, but it is really good.

The staff at this café were horrible. Counter guy seemed like he was from Jersey, he was YELLING at people and was EXTREMELY rude to me. The ice cream girl was young and probably didn’t want to be at work, but it showed. My boyfriend said, wow she looks miserable. She was rude to me too. And fyi, we’re both really nice people, so it’s not like they had any reason to be rude to us. We had easy, quick orders and we were nice. I was shocked at how unfriendly this town was! Anyway– The turkey panini was GROSS. Like inedible gross. The buffalo chicken panini was really good though. I loved the variety of homemade ice cream flavors(creative fun flavors like coconut almond joy, chai, and caramel apple spice) but it tasted… old? not like fresh creamy homemade ice cream I know. but i enjoyed it. The apple cider was the worst apple cider I have ever had. AWFUL. The sign out front said«lots of pumpkin treats, pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffins, «…I didn’t see any of those things… :( The place was messy, the staff were confused and yelling at people and each other, I’m guessing the counter guy was a manager or owner, but don’t yell at your staff THAT loudly in front of customers… its rude and inappropriate . It’s small and customers don’t seem to understand where to sit or stand so it was annoying to even be IN the restaurant. i even had a guy yell at me for going to the bathroom, apparently I cut in front of him… he was standing by the food counter like he was waiting for his order, so i had NO idea. yikes dude. The one thing I will be back for before we go hiking… is their vanilla honey chai tea latte, omg it was the best chai tea i’ve ever had(it’s why they got 2 stars instead of 1). we got a brownie to go with it, it was so bad :( come here for a coffee(their list of cappuccinos, lattes, chais… etc is amazing, i wanted to try all of them) but eat somewhere and don’t except good service !

The Salted Caramel Mocha here is even better than the one at Starbucks!!! Love this place! Great coffee, great pastries, definitely not cheap, but neither is Starbucks, so if you’re looking for something in that range, I would definitely stop in here! Service wasn’t the friendliest, but maybe they were tired, it happens? :)
