The Toconic Outdoor Education Center kicked off their annual Winterfest, and boy was it a Fest. Ice skating and Ice Fishing on the middle of the lake was highlighted with a 3lb. fish on the line. Kids were making angels in the snow, and speaking of the snow, it was packed, and made for perfect snow balls. The sleds and tubes made the kids scream for more and for that moment, I felt as if I was on the slops of Utah. All of these activities made us hungry, and we craved what anyone would crave after a day like this… HOT CHOCOLATE, and CHILLI. Ok the kids didn’t buy in on the Chili, but I did.
In a not shell, this is a once a year winterfest, and I can’t wait for next year.
