Amazing coffee and out of this world donuts for only 99 cents each. A perfect combo for a quick stop. Only bad part is they don’t have in door bathrooms but the portal potty in the back was surprisingly clean. We want to make this a traditional stop whenever we travel to and from Michigan!

We used Grandpas cider mill/Jollay Market for donuts for our wedding. EVERYONERAVED about how good they were. Seriously, best donuts on the earth, and I’ve traveled all over the world. They encompass everything Michigan, everything fall, everything a cider mill doughnut should be. Julie was great to work with, she is busy, and i see why now, but she always responds to messages and was pleasant to work with. She went WAY above and beyond to make sure our tasting and our wedding were perfect. She was very generous and kind, I would work with her a hundred times over. The gal who did our tasting and helped us figure out what we needed, Christy, was absolutely wonderful. Also very kind, and went above and beyond to make sure we tasted everything we needed. We had three little kids with us and she was very sweet and kind with them, we really appreciated how friendly they were! We also really enjoyed the tacos. We live in Austin, Texas and have had our fare share of really good Mexican food. They hit the nail on the head. Very authentic, very good, not the typical bland Midwestern Mexican food. Thank you again for making our day so special and for making the best donuts!!! We loved the shop, and we loved all of the food. Thank you again, we can’t wait to visit next time we are up there!

Wow Taco bar! Wow Ice Cream! Wow homemade donuts Wow fresh fruit(in season) This place is a little gem. Just off the exit at Coloma, this is a great place to stop for some delicious food. The taco bar offers fresh tacos, with many homemade ingredients. Make sure you try the apple salsa, it is great. Very friendly staff. and nice clean little store

we stopped into jolley’s today for some local corn. we knew jay growing up and wanted to support his business while we were in town visiting. the produce and products are fantastic! and the dinosaurs in back are cool for the kids. however, the cashier was either having a really bad day or she is in the wrong position for her personality type. she was not friendly, not remotely. you can at least muster a ‘thank you’ or a half-hearted smile when you take customers money. it left us commenting to each other on the way home not about the awesome business, but on how unwelcome and dismal the cashier made us feel. why go back to that?

This little market sits right before the 94 interstate entrance ramps south of Coloma. It’s a perfect stop for fresh cherries, local honey and jams and other local jarred items including some unique combinations of flavors. They have delicious looking ice cream and authentic Mexican food. But the real crown jewel here are the fresh donuts! Apple cinnamon is my favorite, the cake is so light and fluffy. Worth a stop if you’re in the area! They also have uncooked meat for sale, random but might come in handy for someone. Oh and don’t forget to check out the dinosaur farm on site!

Solid roadside coffee and snack shop. Doughnuts were quite good and the LavAzza coffee is a nice touch. They have much more than simple breakfast/lunch fare, including fresh fruits, an assortment of jams/spreads and cider. Also, enjoyed that I encountered four different employees and every one of them greeted me and wished me well as I exited their establishment. Recommended.

We stopped off with friends on the way from Chicago back to Detroit to get truffles from the chocolate garden, and decided to stop in this cute little store. We wanted some cider and donuts but found so much more! We had soooo many tacos. The steak was my favorite. Everything was super flavorful and I got some apple salsa to go. I will be back to this little gem next Chicago trip :)

It pains me to write this, but I’m DONEWITHJOLLAYMARKET. You’ve been a regular stop on my Chicago/Detroit trips even though you won’t let customers use your bathroom(outhouse? GROSS). All the good in your store will not excuse the attitude I got last week on my trip to Chicago. I’ve purchased coffee on every one of my stops and you punch my card. I was thrilled to have earned two complimentary cups so far(read — purchased 20 cups). When I was last there in August, the NICE gal punched my card and let me know my next cup was free. Yay me! Fast forward to last Friday when I stopped in for my coffee and some produce. For some odd reason my card was not in the stack. I don’t know why — you were ridiculous to ask me. In fact, the gal behind the counter threw the stack of cards at me to check for my name. Even though I thought THAT action was rude, I did. No card. «Did I have my card?» «No.» Why would I keep my card? They’ve never had problems in the past keeping cards in the little plastic container next to the register. They’ve kept my last two cards and this third one fine until this recent visit. I explained that the gal told me this time was a free coffee(now purchased 30 cups) and started to get upset. Under normal circumstances a clerk should have the wherewithal to accommodate a customer. It’s a $ 2 cup of coffee. Instead, I was made to feel like a THIEF. The other clerk called a mysterious someone that confirmed that I would get no free coffee under any circumstances. Yep, I was made to feel like I was ripping them off. WTF? That I lied about my coffee card. That I was pulling one over on them. That I was the bad guy. That I WASSTEALINGFROMTHEM. WTF? The counter clerk said«You don’t need to have an attitude.» Well… You’ve lost my card(oh, thanks for the new one. Hopefully, you won’t lose it too), you treated me like SHIT in your store, AND I STILLBOUGHTPRODUCE. What thief still makes purchases if they’re trying to get something for free!!! IDIOT. Maybe you shouldn’t have an attitude? JOLLAYMARKET, I’M DONEWITHYOU. YOUHAVEINSULTEDME. THEATTITUDEISINEXCUSABLE. THISWHOLEEXPERIENCEWASMORETHANHORRIBLEAND I WOULDNEVERTRUSTTHOSETWOTOEVERPOURCOFFEEFORMEAGAIN. I HONESTLYFEELTHEY’D SPITINIT. I can buy produce across the street or somewhere else along exit 39 or I-94. I can bring my own coffee on the road. Your tacos are fine, but my neighborhood has some damn-good, authentic Mexican food. I really don’t need your stuff. You were a treat. It’s sad because since I’ve been making the trips between Chicago/Detroit, you’ve gotten over $ 350 from me. YOU’VELOST A CUSTOMERFOREVER. All local ingredients for taco salads, tacos, ice cream, hot fudge donuts, friendly staff/owners and great friends make for an awesome lunch pit stop! We had steak and chicken taco salads which were quitflavorful and loaded with fresh avocados too! Ice cream was mighty tasty and I ordered a double scoop in a waffle cone but received a quadruple scoop! Fresh donuts were really good according to my friends. They had the chocolate fudge and spicy mango, which was really good but not spicy. If you’re on your way to Chi Town or just in the area this is a good lil place to check out. Side note per my friend; check your coffee before you leave to verify desired taste. Jollay Market Charter Township, MI

Loved the tacos and tamales! Also had some good Chips and salsa. Sweets wise they had some yummy chocolate fudge cake doughnuts and an apple cider float. My only negative comment is the cashier just wasn’t very helpful or friendly.

This place is an incredible find that we stumbled on while making our frequent trip between Chicago and Detroit. Wow! What a hidden gem. The apple donuts, apple cider float, chorizo tacos, hot apple BBQ sauce were all amazing. I love that despite his place being in a small town off the highway it’s still very upscale, clean and sells sophisticated but fresh and local products. We look forward to making this place a regular stop. The staff are also friendly and make good recommendations if you can’t figure out what to order.

Stopped by this place on the way to Chicago. What a little gem! Tacos, donuts, cider, lavazza coffee, ice cream — this place made our day! It’s clean, there are a few seats to dine in, the staff is friendly. It has everything you need(minus bathrooms ;)! Will return!

This is a good spot on the side of the highway for a quick stop. They have delicious food… OMG!!! We stopped in Coloma after realizing we journeyed too far up the highway. This was like the most epic stop EVER. We pulled off and stopped at the market on the other side of the road… but then. we turned around and we saw the sign… TACOS! What?! Tacos.seriously. oh yes. please. Give me some of that! So we had to journey across the road(had to drive, had the dog!) and hey I was happy. Got a chorizo and carne asada taco. Both were muy bien. I even liked how they had some produce and local things to purchase. I picked up pumpkin butter. But back to the tacos. They were delicious. try them. Get some produce. enjoy the sights of Coloma(I mean hey, it was epic) and eat them tacos!

We’ve stopped by here many times for fresh fruit(in-season) as well as for a quick coffee/ice cream/cider fix. Sometimes during the summer they even have homemade tamales — yum!

Stopped here for some cherries. The 18 year old that was running the outside tent was very helpful. Rates were slightly less than Fruit Acres across the street. He recommended the food inside. The tacos were fine for $ 2.15. Taco salad was ok too. The grilled cheese with apple was outstanding.

Whenever I drive to Chicago, I like to stop at Grandpa’s cider mill to pick up a gallon of that delicious nectar of Gods. The honeycrisp cider is amazing. During the winter, Grandpa’s Cider Mill is closed, and this store carries it. It’s located on the same exit as Grandpa’s and Chocolate Garden.
