Steve & Jaime are amazing! I have been stopping in everytime I travel to see my daughter, son-in-law & grand babies! I now cannot show up without chocolate bacon! Steve accomadated me coming after hours last time! So I am still the best grandma! Love the kiwi bark, dark chocolate cashew turtles & dark chocolate covered cherries & of course, chocolate bacon !! And the cake balls! Lemon, carrott, red velvet, German chocolate, banana, orange, can’t even remember all the choices! If you are in this part of the country you must stop!

Excellent chocolate and choices of chocolate ;-) Small place with a little window that i suppose you can see them making the chocolates at the right time. Easy to get to location as well. Prices are fair too . I will be back when I’m in the area again.

My boyfriend and I came here last year on a very snowy Valentine’s Day. The owner and her husband were extremely friendly and welcoming! This year(2016) we came back and they remembered us. What a cool experience! The dark chocolate covered bacon with sea salt is a must try!

AMAZING! Found this gem on a road trip and I’m so glad we stopped. Bought a little of everything. The Bacon Bark, Chocolate potato chip stack & triple dipped malted milk balls were the favorites! The milk chocolate bacon bark was so delicious! The salty pieces of perfectly cooked bacon covered in a rich creamy smooth milk chocolate are absolutely amazing! The salty & sweet combo is always a winner, but the chocolate covered potato chip were heaven! We were definitely doing the happy dance after every bite!!!

Stopped by yesterday while looking for fresh baked pies from Grandpa’s Cider mill. They are very friendly and I got four different things, including dark chocolate with almonds, dark chocolate covered jalapeño chips(awesome), chocolate covered lemon cake balls(OK)

Been traveling Europe and Asia, Steve’s dark chocolate sea salt with almond is the best I’ve ever had! Perfect ratio of dark chocolate, sea salt and almond. Fresh handmade. Strongly recommend for dark chocolate lovers or even for the ppl who are not into sweets. :)

I LOVETHISPLACE!!! My fiancé and I were driving through Michigan one day and saw all the signs for Chocolate Garden … Im a pastry chef so chocolate excites me lol, when i see garden i started to picture this huge place full of everything except the kitchen sink covered in chocolate … So my dismay it was only truffles VERY expensive truffles. Well we are here so might as well look around! We did a chocolate tasting, which we had to pay for, but if im paying all that $ i want to make sure i like it ! We got 6 truffles, which were prepackaged and different flavors so you cant pick two. So u might want a cherry and a caramel but if its not on the shelf you kinda go … bc they wont make it for you. So last week my sister and I were in Michigan and she took me here. i walked in to cases filled with chocolate i was in my happy place ! The owner was there and I will say he is the nicest guy, talked to us about his chocolate and how he can ship anything we want to us. I mean he couldnt have been any nicer. Him and his wife work to make their customers happy and thats refreshing nowadays. His prices were reasonable and affordable and you can watch as they make stuff in the kitchen, they were making brittle that day! H is cake balls were the best i have tasted and my sister agrees on that one, im considering buying and having him ship some to me for my wedding bc his banana cake ball covered in chocolate ??? Come on!!! I was mad i only got one of that flavor lol

Last fall I visited the Coloma area with some friends, we were visiting the wineries in the area. Originally after seeing the many signs for the Chocolate Garden, we were going to stop in despite reading the reviews on Unilocal about how you have to pay for tastings, the truffles were expensive, etc. Personally, I like chocolate, but I’m not even a fan of truffles so I’m a fan of variety. My local chocolate store, Fannie May always gives you a full piece of chocolate when you’re in there shopping… I’ve never even heard of paying for a chocolate tasting! We were on our way to Contessa and spotted this place and of course the chocolate covered bacon sign caught my eye so we decided to stop in to try it… and we left with some other goodies too. They sell bags of gummies and such so there is more than chocolate here. My sister and I visited again yesterday while in the area. She picked up a variety of things, and I got a few cake balls… O M G they are amazing!!! I just text messaged her and asked her when we’re going back. She loved all her puchases too. This place is great! We got to chat with the owner for a bit too, he is very nice and all about making his customers happy. After our visit yesterday we visited 12 corners winery and they give you a sample of the dark chocolate bark with sea salt from this place after your wine tasting and it was sooooo good. Thankfully they sell a few things from this place there so my sister picked up some additional chocolate bark after trying it. If you are in the area, you will pass this place so definitely stop in, I guarantee you will walk out with something!!! Also, they ship for $ 9 so odds are I won’t be driving out to Southwest Michigan in the Winter, but I’d opt to order for those special occasions.

My husband and I stopped in last night after wine tasting at Contessa. The chocolate here is fabulous, fabulous, fabulous! I practically had taste-bud orgasm when I bit down on the milk chocolate strawberry shortcake piece. Mmmmmmmmmmm…

This is exactly the type of place I like as far as chocolate/candy shops go! It had such a welcoming feel to the place. I stopped by on a trip to Chicago. Steve was such a nice guy, and very helpful with the many questions I had. I highly recommend this place. I tried chocolate walnut fudge, chocolate peanut butter fudge, chocolate covered cashews, and my personal favorite were the gummi bears! Best gummi bears I ever had. I will be stopping by again for sure. The prices are very reasonable too!

Can’t say enough good things. The shop was adorable, the staff was very friendly… the chocolate, OMG! We were introduced to Vineyards Gourmet during a wine tasting at 12 Corners Vineyard(also reviewed). It was so good we decided to stop in and see what other sinful delights they had in store. Wide variety to choose from, reasonable prices for very good quality chocolate. My new personal addiction, jalepeno bacon cloaked in milk chocolate. Salty, sweet, bacon with a kick, unexpected deliciousness. If you are going to stop at on chocolatier, make it this one.

Great place — love the dark chocolate almond bark with sea salt the best! Didn’t really care for the bacon but liked the turtles and just about everything else we bought. Prices are reasonable(much more than The Chocolate Garden) and John the owner is super nice! We will be regulars!

Anywhere with chocolate-covered bacon gets a thumbs up in my book! The pieces were small, but it’s probably for the best to have portion control with that particular snack. I also got a peanut butter cup with milk chocolate, it was rich but very good. We’d definitely stop by if we were near there again, it’s right off 94!

I stopped by here after the chocolate garden. I saw the line that said chocolate bacon so I was hooked to try it. I ordered a piece of reg and a piece of peppered. The reg was ok, the peppered was way too peppery. Also the pieces are smaller than a golf pencil. It was $ 1 each. They also offer lots of fudge and like 3 truffles and a bunch of other random chocolate stuff. Def a large selection, including honey. I also got a caramel truffel. This cost me about $ 2, cheaper and bigger than chocolate garden. It i s about the size of a lindor truffle, actually a lil bigger, with a cakey type center, caramel and toffee. It was very good! VERY nice people at the counter! They have over 100 items and they give out free samples. When I was there they made this pumpkin fudge that had no pumpkin in it but all the spices, yum! they also let you order online at It lists summer hours as Mon-Sun 10 – 6 but no fall hours…

This place rocks! Definitely worth the stop! Chocolate covered bacon is delicious, but their fudge is amazing! My mom, who is diabetic, swears by their sugar-free chocolates. She said it is the best she has ever had!!! The couple that own the shop enjoy what they do and it shows!!! A MUST stop place for great chocolate creations!!!

Simply the best chocolate, friendliest owners and my favorite stop for goodies. It’s worth the extra drive and super easy to find. The chocolate covered espresso beans are by far the best. Double dipped peanuts are simply great! The little secret gems are the fudge and the covered cake balls! OH nothing should taste that good! My hands are in the bag on the way out the door. Stop by enjoy chocolate, gifts and the nicest people you will meet!

classic chocolate for cheap and then there’s the chocolate covered bacon. I’d say this small town chocolatier is going to do great. I enjoyed the chocolate so far(although the flavor tastes stale which doesn’t really make sense since chocolate is supposed to be better with age). Great stop for someone going westbound to leave MI and craving chocolate. Let the bon-bon sign entice you but go here instead.

Sells chocolates, fudge, beaded jewelry, and painted wineglasses, among other things. The chocolate and the fudge are too sweet for my taste(the fudge was almost like penuche). Free samples of the fudge; it might not be too sweet for yours. Nut brittles available with a wide selection of nuts(I got cashew). The dark chocolate toffee bark, however, is really, really good. Very friendly people. Some really lovely beaded jewelry, though $ 38 for a beaded 3-D flower pin was a bit much for me.
