The service when we walked in was horrible, the girls working proceeded to laugh at my disabled daughter. I’ve never had to experience such a lack of professionalism in my life.

I love chocolate and this place has some great advertising on 94 so I stopped. I thought the truffles were gross. I hate to say it about chocolate, but please don’t waste your time stopping here. I picked up some for me and my dad for v day. When my dad saw it he laughed and was like, «oh no, you didn’t go there!» Then he took a picture of it and sent it to his girlfriend as a joke because apparently she does not like the place either. The truffles are super soft and I don’t enjoy the flavors.

I received a birthday gift from my parents from The Chocolate Garden today. Hands down the best truffles I’ve had! :) My favorite was the Vanilla Rose. A++++

It’s very expensive but the chocolate is fantastic. My favorite is the citrus ginger. My husband’s favorite is the salt and pepper caramel. We did the taste 3 for 3.00. They are slices in the taster. The price is 5.99 for 2 truffles(round balls).

Okay after years of passing the signs along I-94 for the Chocolate Garden, I finally made a stop. It was a nice little shop with good chocolate truffles. I liked the tasting bar, a chance to try any of the truffles. I was a bit but off by the limits in buying what I wanted. The truffles are only sold in «pre packaged» selection of 2, 4, 8, 12 and 24 counts. the pack of 2 goes for $ 6. the boxes(4, 8, 12, 24) are all pre selected and sealed. You can just chooses the flavors you like best and get them in a box. I was told this is because the need to list the ingredients. Every chocolate shop I’ve been in allowed you to pick individual chocolates.

I agree the billboards are incredibly enticing. Was NOT what my husband and I thought it would be… based on the name. Should seriously be called Truffle Garden. Chocolate truffles and an upscale gift Shoppe in one room with a walk out patio«garden» to eat your insanely expensive fudge balls. Pretentious.

After reading the online reviews I was expecting an almost religious experience. What I got were ok truffles that were a little pricey. They only sell them in pairs for $ 6 and then 4, 8, 12 and 24 packs. You can get a tasting of 3 slivers for $ 3. The white chocolate had an unpleasant almost taffy-like consistency and the Lindt white truffles you can buy in the store are a little more enjoyable. The dark chocolate was nice, but again, I would almost prefer Godiva truffles over these. It is not bad chocolate, it’s just not the best I ever had. For the price I don’t really feel it is a good value. The Good: The truffles were almost 1.5 x the size of a Godiva truffle. The Bad: I would not get the white chocolate as it was more taffy than chocolate. The Ugly: My wife and I each got 2 truffles and agreed that they were not the best we had had, maybe in the top 70%, and not worth the cost.

Chocolate truffle tasting??? yeah that’s right! A chocolate truffle tasting. $ 2.99 for 3 pieces of chocolate of your choice ranging from a variety of milk, dark and white chocolate truffles. They even direct you on the order of which to try. I love the different and exotic types of flavors they offer and the items to buy are so cute too. Every chocolate lover would love this place! It’s hard NOT to buy something. They recommend not refridgerating or freezing these truffles and I ended up eating the Dark Chocolate Orange truffles I bought 2 days after I bought them and they even left in the car during that time. And man… these truffles were so soft and decadent. You all need to make a stop here if you are in the neighborhood!

Driving down 94 you can’t miss all the chocolate signs for this place. I think it may explain why they are so expensive. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll pay a LOT for a good piece of chocolate. This was Just okay. We drove past several other shops to find this one off exit 39. This place is only truffles. Don’t expect to find any other kinds of chocolate. They are pre packaged and you won’t be able to mix and match. They come in several size packages but you can’t build your own box. I asked about it and the lady gave me some spiel about packaging laws and labeling. I’m not sure why they are the only chocolate place that is forced to prepackage. I did a chocolate tasting for $ 5. You get a very small sample of 3 different truffles. I also bought 2 packages of truffles that were nothing special. It’s a great idea but I’m afraid the overhead must be enormous considering the pricing.

Looking for the best gift for your mother? Wife? Girlfriend? Anyone? Get the sampler box from the Chocolate Garden. It’s like shopping at Costco, everything is priced in increments of 5– or 10-dollars. It’s easy to spend a lot of money on great chocolate here.

This PLACEISDELICIOUS! their is such a wide verity of different chocolate products. Their truffles are TODIEFOR. There are so many different things about this place that i liked its hard to focus on only just one or 2. starting off. LOVED the idea of a tasting bar. For a few dollars you can go to tasting bar and try samples of different truffles they they have to sell(the truffles run about $ 6 for a 2 pack) but you can try 3 different types. Now I’m prone to Dark chocolate, i love dark chocolate. so i was a huge fan of «the darkest dark chocolate». Deliciously rich/bitter/smooth/thick chocolate! I fell in love! there are tons of different great ones too! like the sticky bun was also a great choice too! All in all this establishment most definitely earned these stars, from both products AND services.

WORTHEVERYPENNY! :) The truffles at the chocolate garden are simply the best ever. Way better than Godiva. If you want cheap chocolate, shop somewhere else, but if you want absolutely deliciously developed flavors, this is where you need to come. Once you taste these little gems, you will understand why they cost what they do. The quality of the chocolate and the artisan method used to create this confection demands a higher price point. Personally, I would rather save my pennies so I could afford a few truffles every now and then than waste my money on cheap chocolate. I make a point to stop in The Chocolate Garden whenever I am traveling through. These truffles are simply that good!

They should change their name bc its very misleading, maybe truffle garden would be better bc thats all they have!!! I was so excited to go inside and disappointed in the place. They charge you to taste their truffles and the workers are snooty like you are bothering them by asking a question. The truffles are pre packed so you cant pick which flavors you would like. They start off with two bc the next size up is so $$$$. 2 truffles are $ 6.00 i think thats a bit much. Do yourself a favor, there is this cute chocolate shop down the same road called Vineyards Gourmet Chocolates, they care about their product and love to make people happy. They let you try their chocolate too … FORFREE!!! Good selection and affordable prices.

I really dig this place. It’s in a cool setting and the truffles are very good, like really friggin good. My only complaints are that it is a little pricey, but most of these chocolatiers are like that. The real complaint is the lack if variety. There are a plethora of truffle choices but not much for other types of chocolates. Just need more options is all, that would get 5 stars

This place’s product is crack from a different cocoa, and I’m Rob Ford. I’ve tried product hailing from all over Central and Western Europe, but this is the only place with the stuff that hits the spot. Tried everything from this place. Some ideas tried here shouldn’t work, but they just do. Wouldn’t put it past them to pull off siracha stout. If you snack on Froot Loops, Kraft cheese, and imitation Twizzlers, you’re too blue for this, and frankly have no business offering an opinion. You’re best served continuing to snack on Froot Loops, Kraft cheese, and imitation Twizzlers. You could even mix things up by sipping on Miller 64, or test driving a Honda Civic SI with a fart-muffler mod on the left lane of a road. Your call, kid.

A fun place to stop on the way to or from Chicago! The tasting bar is the way to go. For about $ 3 you can try three different truffles, you get a sliver of each — which gives you a chance to try whatever you’d like before you pick out your purchases. Loved the Ginger Citrus, even though I’m usually not a white chocolate fan. Also the Licorice and the Golden Solera were fantastic — the latter having sherry mixed in — booze and chocolate??? Sign me up!

On the rare occasion I take 94 West beyond exit 138 I see billboards for this place. And I’m always tempted. Always. But, who has time on the way to someplace else? And on the way back I just want to go home. Last week I had to travel to Milwaukee for work. On the way out I see the billboard so I say, «Okay, gotta hit this place on the way home.» And I did. Nestled in some farmy orchardy type land off the freeway in a beautiful space is some of the most cleverly flavored truffles I’ve ever seen. There were so many I wanted to try. So. Many. The chocolates come in wrapped sets of two. Some sets are two flavors(a milk and dark, a dark and white) and others are two of the same. I selected four dark pairs: raspberry, cayenne kick, a plain one and a salted. All were delicious. The truffles do not have the traditional hard outer shell. They are just soft and rolled in something… Cocoa powder? Dried chocolate goodness? I don’t know, but I liked it. The raspberry and cayenne were my favorites, the other two were good but not worth the same price(I will pay top dollar for something so good) and we will be back for more flavors. My only gripe is the packaging. It’s an awful lot of plastic. I wish they were in a case and you could pick out the ones you want and have THOSE wrapped instead.

Stopped here on our way from a weekend in Chicago. Noticed it by the road sign and we pulled up to check out the place. I’m a fan of chocolate as is the missus, and we both enjoyed the taste test($ 2.99). The chocolate is very good, moist, decadent and delicious. I had a truffle coffee drink(hot) and was expecting a larger serving vs what I got, so I typically get disapointed by the price to amount ratio, especially when its coffee + a truffle. This was a strike for me. The big thing to note, is that the chocolate is expensive. I know it’s made by hand, and I know it is delicious and all that, but I like to gorge myself on good chocolate(sometimes). I can’t very well do that while spending $ 12 for 4(bite sized) truffles. So this is not the place for excess, it is for small nibbles and expensive(albeit really good) chocolate. So overall, it’s great for an expensive chocolate gift, but I wouldn’t frequent here for every day chocolate cravings(unless you have a big bank account).
