Most terrible places Ive ever eaten at… a roach crawed on our table and the server killed it right in front of us as if it was the norm around here.

It’s $ 5.99 for an all u can eat buffet, what else can I say. it’s cheap so yes your gonna get $ 1 Chinese food with the plus of sushi. I liked the price, its fair. I was able to keep my diet too since they offer healthy selections like seaweed soup, steamed bochoy, steamed Edamame, sushi, and plenty of raw veggies you can ask the lady to cook in front of you to reduce the salt other foods there have.

This is your average Chinese Buffet spot. I’ve been here like five times since it opened. Nothing great to write about. No complaints to speak of either. You pay $ 5.99 for a lunch buffet. You get what you pay for. I didn’t come in here with high expectation so they didn’t disappoint me. But this place WAS better when it first opened. Its only slightly declined in quality since. The staff is as nice as FOBs can be considering they aren’t used to our customs. The busboy asked before taking my completely empty plate, which was thoughtful, but unnecessary. They walked past my empty glass a few times, but they weren’t standing there doing nothing either. The hostess was pleasant enough. The Egg Drop Soup is somewhat bland, no green onions slices offered. The steamed rice in the rice cooker was old and stale. The Chicken Satay sticks were subpar, old and tough with no taste. Thank goodness for Sriracha sauce. The Chicken Wings weren’t good either. I did enjoy the Stuffed Mushrooms, even though they were a tad soggy. The crab mixture on the«seashell» wasn’t bad either. The Kung-Pao Chicken was OK; the Spicy Chicken tasted like tough Spicy Pork. The Green Beans were pretty good, but they could have been steamed a little less. AVOID the Sushi. It sits out too long and the taste isn’t worth the risk. The Broccoli Beef was way more Broccoli than Beef. The Chicken Eggrolls were stale and inedible. The Rice Noodles w/vegetables were excellent! By themselves with a touch of the teriyaki? sauce by the sweet and sour sauce. Went back for more. The think I liked to most here is something I almost never eat. The Green Jello. It is quite tasty, and firm as can be. I’ve never complimented a place on their Jello before. But here I am doing it. I might come back if I’m hurting for cash, because the value is good. But then again, I’m never hurting for cash.

I’m not a fan of buffets because I’m not a big eater. However at $ 5.99 for lunch and $ 9.99 for dinner you can’t go wrong. On the other hand such a low price is SCARY! It leaves me wondering about the origin of the raw ingredients. At any rate the food was tasty, not greasy, nor too salty. I ate baked muscles, sushi, shrimp, shrimp, shrimp and shrimp. Did I mention camarones?

There’s a lot of random reviews on for this restaurant, and I feel like I should speak up for this restaurant. I’ve been coming here for the past year and it’s never fail to satisfy me, because the food is good(pretty much the same as other Chinese Buffets) but the price makes it unbeatable…$ 5.for lunch? With the economy nowadays, you can’t even buy a burger for $ 5.00! Here’s an easier breakdown for everyone. PROs –Good service(They treat you, how you treat them) I notice that Colton is kind of ghetto… so the type of customers they get isn’t always that great… For example, while I was dinning there, my waiter was getting harassed because of the way he talked. –Fresh food and clean(Like I said, I’ve been coming here for the past year and I still continue to come, Buffets are generally harder to maintain and not all the food can be replenished ASAP, but if you’re nice about it like I usually am, the owners will cook a fresh batch for you.) –Family oriented(Since it’s a family restaurant, everyone there works really hard, being Burmese-Chinese, I’ve conversated with them a few times and they’re really hard workers who work 14−15hours a day. –CHEAPCHEAPCHEAP $ 4.99 for Lunch?! It’s unbeatable. Haha, I’m not rich, and I know a bargain when I see one. CONs –Probably better management, I get that its a family owned restaurant, but with the language barrier, no matter how hard they work, they’ll always be the targets for assholes to take advantage of a free meal… No matter what the other review says, I think you should give this place a try for itself and support local owned restaurant. These people are like you and me, just trying to make ends meet. Star Buffet, I thank you for filling my stomach with all your delicious food at an affordable and good prices. :) Please continue to stay in Business!

Went there not by choice, they claim its all u can eat crab legs, when we got there there was about 20 crab legs. when we tried to get help for more crab legs we were ignored. Ten min later every employee started spraying cleaning chemicals to ignore us even more. When u got someone’s attention they claimed not to have anymore crab legs! The floors are filthy. The service is lousy, they don’t understand any English, they have little children getting n grow ppls bussines… I refused to to give them 23 $ for $ 4.50 worth of nasty cold crab… Then the police were called & I had to pay for eating… I do not recommend this nasty filthy place to take your dog! & yes when I got home I was sick asf… calling health dept& code inforcement on this establishment!

The food is okay if you’re hungry and you want Chinese. It’s clean for the most part. Some of the food sits in the food warmers for a while but it’s edible. When the owner is there the service is great but when she is not the service is alright. If you are hungry you’ll be satisfied.

I went to try this place today for the first time. It is cheap but it’s not worth it you have to keep on asking for the waitresses to take plates and to bring refills and there is am extra charge if you waste food. And on my fiancée’s chicken there was hair like as if they didn’t skin it well. It was just awful. Will definitely not come back!

This was the worst buffet I have ever been to in my life. The food was nasty!!! Then if you dont eat all your food you put on your plate they won’t charge you the lunch special that you actually went in for. They will charge you the regular price. The service was bad as well. The only reason I stopped there because i was waiting for this place to open back up from there lunch. I would had rather eaten dirt. Never never again stay away I’m surprise I didn’t see any roaches walkin around ijs

A friend experienced«INAPPROPRIATESERVICE» TODAY. she is a large woman and was video taped by a waitress going from one station to the next all to the amusement and laughter from the worker! Shameful ! Disrespectful, and with no apology from management… I’d think twice before eating from this place!.. imagine what else they do to amuse each other, especially the food! Grade this place a «F»

Nice experience. Good variety of food: Chinese, Japanese, American, seafood, salads and desserts. I had crab legs, garlic shrimp, muscles, oysters, sushi and fresh cucumber tomato salad. My daughter enjoyed pizza, spring rolls, orange chicken, bananas, ice cream and dumplings. My man had 5 plates of food. Total bill about $ 20. We were quite surprised and will be back.

Don’t waste your money. $$$ I decided to try this place out after driving by this many times. When I first walked in it took me awhile before I was greeted. Finally with something came up to me they were rude and ask you what I wanted. There were no clean tables available and the food was cold when I got it from the buffet line I just hope I don’t get sick. What I wanted a refill on my soda I looked around for a dress and found one sitting at a table folding napkins and silverware she looked right at me and I asked her if I can get more soda. She just looked away pretending like she didn’t hear me. And my last not least complaint about this place is there is a sign that says any extra food on your plate that you don’t eat you will be charged for. I would not be returning to this place again.

Star Buffet, Get your act together! I went to your establishment and had the worst experience. I asked if the fish on the sushi was fresh and the woman who makes it behind the bar started yelling at the manager… I eventually had to tell them to both calm down I left after I had a piece of nigiri that tasted really wrong and asked that question. The morning after I woke up at four in the morning puking my brains out… The second day the same thing, I was hoping it would have gotten better by the time I got to work. That was embarrassing, now I couldn’t enjoy my thanksgiving due to the dehydration I’m experiencing because anytime I try to hydrate, it nauseates me. I don’t like to write bad reviews for family ran business, but you should not come here ever.

So I’m not one to go to Chinese buffets, and if I do I’m usually headed straight to the pizza. Yeah, I know that’s meant for kids cause that’s about all they like to eat, but pizza is pizza and if you don’t like it then we can’t be friends. Anyway, this place didn’t have pizza. My wife swears they did, but I’m sure those kids got to it before me. It’s ok though, because i like chinese fast food… and japanese food. Did I mention this was a chinese/japanese buffet? A little bit of an Identity crisis, but ok whatever. Every plate I served myself had chow-mein for sure. You can’t go wrong with chow-mein(unless you’re Panda Express). I also really enjoyed their little krab cakes(spelled with a ‘k’ because they can’t even act like it’s real crab). The beef they served was good; not too chewy. Most of the food tasted as it should and was decently presented. The only thing I didn’t get to try was their crab legs. I got kind of full and also didn’t feel like wrestling between monitoring my son and trying to re-kill my food. I joked about the risks of eating sushi at a buffet, but being a fat ass I went ahead and racked up a little of everything they offered. Not a complete mistake. Naturally, some rolls are better than others, but ultimately sushi is best eaten when made to order. Although, to be fair, we saw one of the servers actually make some of the sushi rolls as we were browsing. Now I normally wouldn’t risk sushi not made to order(previous problems with gas station Sushi… DON’T DOIT) but I dove into the deep end and I’m still alive… so i have that going for me, which is nice. After everything, the experience wasn’t bad. I mean, there were 10 of us plus 3 children and we were all there as a family after attending a graduation ceremony. We had our fill, some drinks to wash it down, and the price seemed ok. I did make sure to christen their restroom before heading back home… but what else would you expect after letting me stuff myself as I pleased for only $ 10? Special note: The women tending to us were SUPER sweet to us all. They even had our children running around the restaurant with them just for fun. For being a buffet, they were very involved in every customer’s visit. Almost makes me want to give them 3 stars instead of 2. However, ultimately the food could could have been at least a little better. But it’s Colton, CA… and there’s only so much you can expect anyway.
