For the look and atmosphere this is an awesome place to go. It’s a little diner with 4 – 5 booths and a bar to sit at, very cool. For the food, it is good but not great. But for the price and the portion you get, you can’t beat this place.

Once again, Unilocal members come through with a suggestion of this great little gem hidden in the downtown of Columbia, MO. Great food, especially the stretch. Love the fact that they have large and small versions of their specialties!

This is an awesome little diner. I was a little unsure because of the previous reviews but it’s really a great breakfast place. As soon as I got there I was greeted by a nice woman behind the counter. She said the wait would be a couple minutes. I ended up waiting a minute or two before a couple spots opened up at the counter. They took my order and the food was there in less than 10 minutes, and it was delicious! All the staff were very nice and it had a kind of homey feel to it. Unfortunately I’m only visiting in Columbia so I can’t come here often but it’s definitely one of my favorite restaurants now! Also, it’s a fairly small diner so you can see most of the kitchen for any of those people that like to see how their food is made. I wouldn’t say it’s good for groups but you could try. Anyways, great service and great food, definitely my go to place for breakfast in Columbia!

Best place and cheap. Open 24 hours. For two people, we got two veggie burgers, pecan pancakes, and coffee for just $ 15!

Best place ever. I had the coop. It was a brisket with Mac n cheese, I usually try to avoid weird things like that but it was the best thing I ever had. My dad had them jimmy and he said he enjoyed it. We split the apple pie which was amazing. Our server was amazing at this mom and pop diner. She was very smooth and multi managed her tables without neglecting anyone.

Always come here for breakfast and I’m never let down. Super fast, super simple diner food. Biscuits and gravy will melt in your mouth. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff is very nice.

Great breakfast place in Columbia. Generous portions and everything was delicious. Biscuits and gravy, two eggs with sausage for me. One egg with pancakes for my son and with an English muffin for my wife. Everything was prepared perfectly. The staff were all sweet ladies who harken back to easier times. Give this place a try!

Went here this morning and had the best French toast I’ve ever eaten in my life! The place itself is a little small, but it’s so much more charming because of that. The service was great and our waitress was nice as can be. The food was great and very reasonable(I payed a little under $ 8 for French toast and coffee). Definitely going to be a regular!

The hash browns are fried to shit! Basically hashbrown chips! Biscuits and gravy are bland! The sausage is Good! My girl liked the western omelette! I’m not here to downplay the place but I could’ve had Better!

We chose to eat at the Diner today, 8:30AM. The place was steady, but not overly busy. My ham & cheese omelet was good, the hash browns were cool and had off taste & the biscuits & gravy tasted good but the gravy was served cold. Wouldn’t recommend at this time.

I’m from out of town and had the stretch. Not a fan. The food was pretty bland. The place is dirty and the people aren’t all that nice. We had to ask for the other half of our order after we got some of our food. Not sure what the good reviews are based on.

Maybe it was just a bad day, but our waitress was a bit cranky and our order came out without the side dishes. Things were corrected, but today the Broadway Diner did not live up to the hype. My wife and I both ordered the stretch and it was fairly basic. The chili tasted like something from a can. Bad service and the food was only okay

This place has great food and the staff makes you feel welcome whether you are local or from out of town. Love the atmosphere and would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area for breakfast or lunch.

Just the kind of diner we were looking for! We enjoyed a brunch as out of towners visiting for the weekend, but felt very much like locals because of the place and atmosphere brought about by the servers. Pancakes and hash browns were top notch! Loved this place and would definitely return when in Columbia!

The food is rockin! good luck finding a place to sit. they should invest in some outside seating. great alternative to the normal steak&shake visit, and better chili. Pie and cake were a wonderful endcap. Service wasn’t bad but could have been more personable.

Nope. Cannot agree with the folks on food quality. I know its a diner… but the food was bland. Pancakes looked terrible… no real butter. Eggs turrible. Pass on this one… unless u like bad food, loud noise and cramped and dirty conditions.

The Broadway Diner is without a doubt the best place in Columbia for breakfast. I’ve been to just about every other breakfast eatery in town and none of them can beat Broadway. It’s nothing fancy for sure, but the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is like something out of a movie. It is the iconic diner every city needs to have. I haven’t been here for anything other than breakfast so far, but everything I’ve had for my morning meal has been delicious. If you stop in be sure to try Mark’s Dilemma. They’re very willing to customize your meal, so don’t be afraid to ask for changes. The venue is pretty small and if you come at peak eating hours expect a good wait. Trust me though, the food is certainly worth the wait.

I have been here several times and I have never been disappointed. I usually get the biscuits and gravy, which are to die for! My mother is quite picky on her B&G, but even she loved them! I like my hashbrowns with some crunch, so I order them extra crunchy. They come out perfectly every time. They also have a double bacon cheeseburger on a donut bun. It sounds bizarre but tastes AMAZING! It was the perfect combination between breakfast and dinner. The burger was quite large, so my boyfriend and I split it. The service is great but the place is small! If you’re coming during peak hours, be prepared to wait. But, boy, is it worth it and for a great price!

I wish that this place was in KC. As a Jayhawker, I was very happy that I left my coat in the car to experience this excellent diner. The waitress was a peach(see… now my southern side is coming out) and my food was very delicious. I ordered an omelette with hash browns and coffee. The omelette was perfectly cooked and had a good size to it. The hash browns and coffee were excellent as well. I left with a full belly and was shocked at the bill. $ 7 dollars? Yes, please! I ended up over tipping the waitress to compensate. I was glad to eat here and if I ever come back to Columbia, I will definitely stop in again.

The waiter was awesome! Told us a few places to check out in Downtown! The food is way better than Denny’s or IHOP and at a steal of a price! Definitely coming back! Must order the breakfast in bed and try out one of their omelettes!
