The essence of miserliness permeates Hong Kong Market, to a point at which it becomes an unappealing place to shop. Examples: 1. $ 20 minimum before you can use your card. 2. Chicken wire surrounding fruit trees in the lot with warning signs posted(Chill out!) 3. Signs taped up everywhere that let you know you’re not allowed to park on ‘their half’ of the parking lot(it is shared with ABC Chinese Restaurant). Couple this with the fact that most of the food is processed junk with all the additives you try to avoid, and what you have is a place where you can get a few basic sauces, noodles, and veggies, which also happens to smell like a zombie fish hatchery. The owners would do well to reconsider the image they put out there, because many of us are actually ‘dual customers’ who have utilized both the neighboring restaurant and the market.

I love this supermarket in CoMo and super friendly workers! Henry is very helpful if you can’t find anything. Fridays around 5:30pm are when they get delicious goodies from STL and usually Thursdays are when they get their stock of fresh veggies in. Very affordable and if you can’t find something or would like to special order, let them know!

Groceries are ridiculously cheap. They have a $ 20 minimum before credit cards can be used with out a surcharge but I find it hard to buy enough to hit that threshold! And it’s not for want of items to buy. They have lots of Asian candies, snacks, noodles, sauces, mixes, and baked goods. They also have a lot of kitchen paraphernalia for the Asian-style cook. The owners and employees are very nice.
