The name bears a suspicious similarity to Supercuts… and so does the quality of their services. $ 16.95 for a shampoo and cut. When I first arrived, the woman tells me to sit down at one of the shampoo washing stations. I do so, and she goes into the bathroom. She’s in there for a REALLY long time. Ew. «What is she doing in there?» I think to myself. I’m starting to get nervous… When she finally gets out, my hair gets washed and then we proceed to the cutting stage. She turns out to be a speed demon and machetes her way through my hair. She got the length right, but the layering is rough and chunky. And you know that feeling when you walk out of a hair salon and your hair smells fantastic and it’s light and bouncy and you don’t want to wash it because you know it won’t be quite the same? Well, their shampoo smells like nothing in particular and my hair had none of its usual post-salon lightness and bounce. But I guess that’s what you get when your hair gets so long you’re sick of it and you just want it off, no matter what, and you wander into a mall and go with the first option you see. Lesson learned. No appointments; walk-ins only [because no one in their right mind would make advance preparations to come here.]
