Got takeout. Wanton noodles were good. Singapore noodles were great too. Definitely going back.

Service was pushy and impolite. The food was bland and not too fresh. Not sure what the house dressing was, but it wasn’t Asian inspired. When we asked, they didn’t want to divide our bill for us. Overall poor experience.

Unfortunately this was not a great experience, the food totally uninspired, lacking taste, & over cooked. The service was aggressive and not truly service, but hurry up & order, hurry up & eat, hurry up & leave. Sooooooo sad to write this.

This is my second time at this restaurant. A few months apart. I really wanted to like this restaurant. It is close to where I work. I have worked across South East Asia and like good Asian food. This is NOT good food.

Great ambience and excellent service. Ordered vegetarian noodles with tofu. Light on the eyes and stomach. Good mix of vegetables and seasoned just right. Look forward to going back and trying more dishes.

I am very pleased! My 3rd meal as good as my first! The noodles are fresh, seasoned and the atmosphere is quaint. I am especially taken by the jasmine tea, my favorite, hit and strong. Micheal Jackson’s music is always playing however I can’t go wrong by keeping this on my daily list while I’m being held hostage by slow contractors at my home leaving us at the hotel for life… at least it feels like a lifetime in 1 month. Great place!

Great looking menu. Unfortunately the food was bland in the extreme. Literally tasted like gluten. Or a cheap scallop.

Food was ok… atmosphere kind of… outdated?Bathroom clean is a plus. We had the egg and corn soup, sizzling noodles, beef noodle soup, and spicy stir fry beans. Sizzling noodles definitely the high light hot and lots of pepper. Egg and corn soup was good… everything else just ok.

Located in the Lakeside Retail plaza directly next to Pub Dog, this restaurant is one of my local favorites. Although they do offer take-out and delivery, on-site dining is definitely the way to go. The portions provided are larger, the ambiance is welcoming and vibrant, and you can order glass after glass of Thai Tea :)

I went in with a small group of friends because I heard the food itself was great, but a friend warned me that their service was below average. I went in not worrying about their service because I had bad services before and I’m not the type of person that would go berserk about a restaurants’ service(until now). Some of us had eaten already so we decided to order 3 – 4 dishes to share to see if we liked the food. They weren’t very busy with more than half the tables empty, but our server did not attend us for about good 10 minutes. When she finally arrived, we ordered our food, but she looked at us like she wanted us out of there. After we ordered, she started criticizing us for not ordering enough dishes and told us we have to spend at least 10 dollars per person because the table we were sitting at was a table for 6. I asked her why and she told me the reason for this is because they were busy and if we wanted to sit in the table we must order more, which didn’t really make sense to me. They were not busy at all, so I asked her if it’s okay at the moment because the restaurant wasn’t busy, and she yelled«Well, I’m Busy!» After arguing for a minute or two, she decided to storm off without taking our drink order. So basically according to her logic, 2 – 3 of us needs to wait outside or stand, while others who were hungrier ate their food. We decided that we were in no mood to eat anymore and left the restaurant without looking back. I never tried the actual food so I can’t review on that, but I will not be returning no matter how their food tastes. Honestly, I wouldn’t have been surprised if she did something to our food before it was served to us because after she stormed off she started yelling in another language to her employees, which I did not understand.

Absolutely delish, go get the mango chicken and shrimp dish now. Rice was just a lil sticky. Also staff is very friendly!

I’ve been coming here for years. When my kids were little it was a family favourite. The chicken fried rice was big enough to feed all 3 kids and I loved the pad Thai. I hadn’t been in years and decided to go this last Saturday. I ordered the chicken satay. All I can say is the sauce was NASTY! I added some soy sauce and almost a whole pack of sugar and could eat it, but it was still awful. The waitress, when I told her, laughed and told me she didn’t cook it, so she doesn’t know what’s wrong with it. Huh?! I called today, hoping to speak to a manager or owner. Nobody to speak with. The lady who answered the phone told me I should have sent it back. She told me the next time, if I don’t like something, to send it back. When I told her I probably won’t be back I got no response.

There’s not many authentic Asian food places in the Columbia/Elkridge area but this place has some good Chinese food items(i want to say Taiwanese, but not totally sure). They have Americanized Chinese menu and the authentic Chinese menu. They gave us the authentic menu to look at. We ordered chicken corn soup, beef noodle soup, sizzling noodles and some type of chicken dish(can’t remember the name). The chicken corn soup was really good. It was perfect for when it’s snowing outside. The beef noodle soup was pretty good too, another good dish for a snowy day. The chicken dish was ok and so was the sizzling noodles. The sizzling noodles seemed too heavy on the sauce for me but my husband enjoyed the dish. We’ll definitely go back to try out their other menu items and will update the review when we do.

When it is freezing cold outside and the weatherpeople are predicting blizzard, it is time for a nice hot bowl of soup, complete with noodles. The soup here was very satisfying for a relaxed late lunch. mmmm soup good

I want to like it, but i can’t bring myself to write a good review. Let’s get the things I like about it out of the way first. The beef chow fun was good. So was the salted fish tofu hot pot casserole. I thought the salt and pepper fried seafood was good, but my brother begged to differ. The things I didn’t like: It was hard to find. Like really, really hard to find. Like insanely hard to find, spanning a phone call to the restaurant(they were not helpful), several google map searches, and some persistent circling in the mall parking lot. When we walked in, there was a waitress slumped on the table, completely asleep. There were no patrons in the restaurant except us. The other waitress, who was reading a newspaper, stood up and greeted us, but wasn’t overly friendly. The chow fun, while good, was not dry sautéed — the way it’s supposed to be cooked, and the way it was noted in the menu. It was a saucy version of it, which wasn’t what we were expecting. The atmosphere was fine, but it was too quiet in there, especially given that we were the only people there. I desperately wished there was music, any kind of music, to fill the silence. At the end of our meal, we asked the waitress to wrap up our leftovers to go. Thinking that we did not understand Mandarin, she went to the kitchen, where she said in an annoyed tone to her coworker that she couldn’t believe that the four of us couldn’t finish our food and needed to wrap it up. Ok – our family found this really annoying. First of all, don’t talk about your customers in front of them. Second, why do they care if we finish or not? We found the experience truly rude. We won’t be coming back to Noodles Corner again.

A hidden gem in Columbia! I have been searching for a restaurant that served authentic beef noodle soup, and now I have finally found my go to place! Tried the brisket beef noodle soup and walnut shrimp. Both were excellent. The owners were so nice and even provided suggestions on what to order. The green tea comes in a cute pot. One order is probably enough for two people. Just ask for another cup instead of ordering another pot. Make sure to ask for the Chinese menu too!

This restaurant is pretty good! I haven’t tried anything from the authentic menu, but the items I have ordered have been great. I love the wonton soup. I get it every time. It’s especially wonderful when it’s cold outside. The ladies that work there are pretty friendly. Sometimes you have to get their attention because if it’s not busy, they’ll sit down and read the paper or something.

Take the advice of your fellow Unilocalers and go for the authentic menu. I’ve ordered quite a few dishes from this place and the highlights for me are the Chow Fun and Wonton Noodle Soup. I would go as far and say the wonton soup is the best I’ve had in the area. The wontons have an excellent«meat-to-wrapper» ratio. The wrapper is the thin type and compliments the meat well, not like some wontons that are 99% wrapper, 1% meat(that was some serious math right there). The soup comes with a broth you will tilt the bowl for along with fresh Chinese broccoli. I don’t even like broccoli, but I like THIS broccoli. The Chow Fun is my second favorite dish and have not been disappointed when ordering it. It comes with bean sprouts and a small amount of Chinese broccoli. The Pad Thai on the other hand, well is not a real Pad Thai. Not saying it doesn’t look good, but the way it is prepared here resembles more of a Vietnamese stir fry, which is not necessarily bad… it’s just not a pad thai. If you live in Columbia, program these folks into your phone. The food and prices are excellent!

You heard it here, best Chinese* food in Howard County. Ok, maybe not the boldest statement to make given HoCo’s odd dearth of good Chinese food options, but it still stands. I’ve always found it strange that given Columbia’s healthy Chinese population, there aren’t really ANY good options when it comes to Chinese food. I’d been to Noodles Corner twice over a span of a few years and both times walked away unimpressed, dismissing it as just another Pei Wei, fusionish style restaurant catering shamelessly and tastelessly to American palettes. This was before discovering the authentic menu. Boy was I wrong. After learning about and trying the authentic menu, my opinion took a drastic 180. The authentic options are somewhat limited, but from what I’ve tried, everything is good and made spot-on, textbook, just the way you want it to be when you’re hankering for authentic. Also, dirt-cheap to boot, which fellow authentic seekers like me love to hear to avoid venturing out to Rockville for their fix. Favorites are black pepper beef(hot and sizzling on the skillet), black pepper noodles, pan fried seafood noodles, eggplant in garlic sauce, black mushrooms with bok choy. You can’t lose with anything on the authentic menu. Misc others: feel good noodles off the regular, Pan-Asian menu, and Thai Iced Tea are sooo good. The service is wonderful. The head honcho?(from what I gather) is very warm and friendly, and somehow reminds me of my mother(who’s totally a Tiger Mom) more due to the genuine warmth factor than niceness or anything else. This is now my go-to place when I wanna eat like home. I can’t stress enough how wonderful of a feeling that is. *Pro-tip: the authentic menu features Taiwanese style cuisine.
