I don’t have a lot to say about this store except that it’s really convenient because it’s close to my house, and they have a pretty good selection. Also, there was a super cute and friendly cat inside. AND there’s a food truck outside, which is a superb additional convenience to have nearby.

Honestly, I don’t understand how I am the only one in the store every time I walk in. This place is AMAZING. They have a great selection of beers, one of the best outside of places like Savor Growl, and the prices can’t be beat. They have a large walk in cooler if you need bulk beer cold now(it is campus-ish) but they also have a wide selection of craft and imports. The best part?(well, the second best part.) They have specials constantly. Generally it is 4.99 for a 12 pack of bud/miller/whatever bottle, or smirnoff coolers or the similar. I stay away from that. They usually have a few crafts they are practically giving away. I got St Stefanus by the case for $ 20. The bottles go for nearly $ 10 normally. They had Octoberfest leinenkugel for 6.99 a 12 pack BOTTLE. They save me so much money it’s ridiculous. Okay, the best part, other than the great staff that works there and knows me too well, are the cats. There are two fluffy cats who sleep on boxes. One sort of likes to be pet, and might nip you if he wants left alone, but one LOVES the pets. Also, there is a taco truck outside that has amazing tacos. Get pastor, thank me later. Come for the beer, stay for the cats/prices/tacos.

They have cats in the store. How cool is that??? Freaking cats. How could you not rate this place five stars? Plus the taco truck is outside. Even better.

A moment of honesty: I am at this store practically daily since I live around the corner, whether it be to grab smokes, beer, or food from the food truck(or any combination of the three for myself and/or the girlfriend) 14 – 0 is my go-to corner store. The beer selection of vast, to say the least. There must be hundreds of six packs here, a few dozen selections of bomber bottles, a solid selection of «microbrew» sampler packs, and, of course, your run of the mill domestic 30-packs. Needless to say, I am pretty sure 14 – 0’s selection has spoiled me so that I will be unimpressed by anything less. The wine selection is better than the standard corner store(read: more than just boxed Franzia) but I highly doubt a wine connoisseur would find much here. I don’t count this against them as I am not sure what wine connoisseur would be coming here for their bottles and I am not typically a wine drinker. My wine drinking friends have never had a problem finding a cheap bottle here to quench their thirst. The snack selection is a little limited, mostly a few candy bars/Little Debbie’s offerings but with the awesome food truck out front, this never really becomes an issue. Pro-tip: check out the chalk board above the cash register for the occasional blow-your-mind special or, at the very least, an «I will totally drink this for $ 3.99 a six-pack» special.

So much booze! I have to admit, my favorite part about this place were the walls of beer. Coolers and coolers full of the nectar of the gods! The choices were endless. And how happy was I to see that prices were spot on, too! Since I was a little focused on my mission of snagging beer, I didn’t give the wine selection a good once over, but was dually impressed with what I did see. Snacks, beer, wine, 5-hour Energy… this place is party central stop número uno!

They have a decent selection. I’m not a big drinker, I mainly stick to moscato and wine coolers which they carry in different sizes. Their prices are not low so I’m not sure if I’ll be a regular here. The store clerk was friendly and funny though.

I live across the street from 14 – 0 and I love it. I’m not a big drinker but the array of wine and beer is nearly overwhelming. Even as a not-much-of-a-drinker I sometimes buy a 6-pack of intriguing beer. The also sell«Mexican Coke»(no not a drug) but the stuff without the corn syrup. The taste is amazingly different I don’t like Coke at all, but I keep buying it over there. I only wish they sold more food items.

I love this place. Its right down the road, they are nice to my kids — my son loves to go visit the cat and get a sucker. Plus they are super nice when we have them deliver. Even though they are right down the street I can resupply our beer stores for the hubby when he only calls from work to remind me after the kids are asleep. And the beer is super cold.

My neighborhood carry out! This place is great, Sammy does a good job running these places. I’ve been coming here for years and they always have a steady line of customers. They’re always gracious to their patrons, especially considering they’re located in a neighborhood with its fair share of riffraff. They even ordered my new summer beer(blond bombshell) for me just because I go there instead of the UDF. They did up the price of Dutch Masters to $ 2, but its all good. Be sure to pet their cat Chanel, he’s a total attention slut.

For the amount I have spent here, I should own stock. Incredible selection of high quality beers(Sam, Stone, Magic, Pete’s, etc) at very reasonable prices, sold in both 6 or 12 packs and a few fridges full of singles.(Start your night right with a fatty can of Molson XXX, at about $ 2 a pop, snugged perfectly into a Red Stripe cozy swiped from Hooligan’s down the street) Add to that a huge walk-in cooler full of cases of cheap stuff for the less-discerning party goer, and there is not a better equipped beer store near campus. The staff are always courteous, and patient when a car full of drunk girls want to pet the resident cat. Throw in the locals’ art work to be found on the building and surrounding alleys, and 14 – 0 might be said to represent the most sublime of Columbus culture.

My preferred supplier of Beer. The 14 – 0 Carryout, located just east of a UDF gas station on Hudson, has one of the best selection-to– price ratios in the city. They not only carry nearly every variant of many of my favorite brewers like Great Lakes, Flying Dog, Bell’s, and Magic Hat. But also some that are harder to find in Columbus like Stone. Prices are alway fair to cheap which is more than enough to keep me coming back. Better selections exist in the city, but not at these prices.
