Found this place through word of mouth searching for some NY style pizza at lunchtime. Relatively easy to find due to the little house appearance of the building, but you could pass it if you weren’t looking. Parking…terrible, next to impossible to find a good spot. If it’s winter, bundle up, you’re in for a walk. If it’s warmer out then it’s no issue at all. The atmosphere is a little cramped and dark but it wasn’t overbearing or uncomfortable. The waitress was top notch, place was packed and she was great with refills or asking if we needed anything. Onto the food. Salad was good, they dont have croutons which isn’t bad unless you love them. Dressing tasted fine. Drink machine is a little too watered down. We ordered a medium extra thin crust pepperoni, no slice by slice here, unlike New York. Come prepared to order a full pizza with friends. Size of the large thin crust is decent, nowhere near NY style pizza, but tolerable. Dough tasted great, sauce was good, and the cheese was thick provolone. All in all, place is cool, probably won’t return due to price but if you’re running around with a group and want a quick bite it’s worth it.

This is not NY style pizza. Nor is it «good» by any other standard. I know this place is legendary on campus, but if you’re from the NY area and someone says«it’s NY style,» you’re better off venturing to other places around campus for a closer«at home» feel.

We met friend here for dinner yesterday evening. This is the first time I have eaten pizza from here since my college days 20+ years ago. We ordered a deep dish and a thin crust pizza, breadsticks, and salads. Staff was friendly and responsive. The food came out in a timely manner. Salads were ok but nothing special. Dressings are all prepackaged. The breadsticks were extremely bland and tasted much like raw dough. The sauce with the breadsticks was also nothing special and tasted pretty much like tomato paste. Now to the pizza. Pizzas are excellent! Very tasty with ample toppings. Both the deep dish and thin were very good. They do pizza very well. My conclusion. Great pizza and great staff. Order another beer and skip the appetizers and you will not be disappointed!

Though I(an OSU student involved in student organizations) get tired of Adriatico’s, I do think they make very tasty pizzas. Eating their pizza won’t leave you feeling light and healthy, but rather a bit greasy and warm inside. I think the biggest compliment that I have for them, though, is their efficiency in taking big orders and being able to process them all. They must make so many Buckeye pizzas(the huge ones) each day, and they have a tiny space(sometimes I think they must have a 3-story factory in the basement). They are able to deliver, or you can pick up pizzas there, and they are happy to give you plates and napkins. I haven’t ever gone there just to eat, because I have it so often without choosing.

We got a hand tossed pepperoni and the works, half and half. The crust is nice and thin, and the ratio of sauce, toppings and crust is just right. The pepperoni slices are large and in charge and tasty with the robust sauce. My personal favourite pizza in Columbus, over Donatos. Keep it up!

Sat at a table for an hour only to find out my order hadn’t even been processed. Then was told If I wanted to wait they would«take a few bucks off.» I can’t believe the server kept walking by and didn’t even notice that we were there for so long with no food! It wasn’t even busy. Unacceptable.

Great pizza restaurant! Probably it’s the best pizza I’ve eaten around OSU campus. Things I love about this place: nice waitress, great flavor, multiple choices of toppings, warm environment. Things I don’t like: a long waiting time, the room is a bit small. Thickest pizza is much better and interesting than the thinnest one! Black olives are so great when mixed with chicken and extra cheese!

I love this place. Definitely one of my favorite pizzas in town. Best marinara/pizza sauce I’ve had too — heavy on the tomato paste with such a wonderful blend of herbs and spices. Has a really nice tang/zest to it. Best garlic bread and cheese, too. To the people complaining about the huge Buckeye pizza they always see at work functions: this huge party pizza only comes in the thick sicilian style crust — it is not the regular crust at Adriatico’s. Order a regular crust(or extra thin) pizza to get the real experience, and consider retracting your review of the entire restaurant if you’re only reviewing based on that one party-sized pizza.

We dined in the dining room at Adriatico’s two days ago. Saturday evening right before finals week. Our service was okay; we had to ask for drink refills by flagging down our waitress(there were two other tables with patrons in there at the time) and we also had to ask for plates former our pizza(one would think a family of 5 might need those items before the pizza arrived to the table). Their pizza is thick, pepperoni is cooked perfectly, and garlicky. wonderful! We ordered enough to have leftovers for the next day.

I have been enjoying pizza since the Silent Era-you know, the days before Pizza Hut and Domino’s took over the country and flushed the concept of real pizza made in a local mom and pop joint right down the proverbial toilet. Columbus, Ohio has many local pizza joints-far more than for many cities of similar size. Among the best has to be Adriatico’s, which has been serving up great pies for many years. I prefer to «dine in» at the cozy old-timey location adjacent to the Ohio State campus. There’s nothing like diving in right after the pizza has come out of the oven. My experiences there have always been pleasant-great food and attentive service. I love the large-size pepperoni slices. I always make sure the defibrillator is handy, just in case I «code» while shoving melted mozzarella in my face.

Keep up the good work making some of the best pies in Columbus Deep dish Sicilian pizza at its best. sauces are excellent. fresh vegetables. crust is cooked to perfection. so many good things to say about this place. Toppings are cut large and no dainty pieces of pepperoni or sausage found here. It cost a little more than some of the other pizza places but by far it is well worth the money.

To echo Ying X’s comment, «If you go to any OSU club event, there’s a 50% chance that you’re going to be served Adriatico’s.» I would say it’s more like a 70−80% chance – at least for the OSU student group meetings I’ve been to so far. I guess people get Adriatico’s so often because the prices are okay(buckeye size is 18“x23″ for $ 30, large size is 18“x12″ for $ 15) and it is convenient for big groups. There don’t seem to be too many other reasons to go here. Adriatico’s is up there for my least favorite pizza in Columbus. For groups, you generally get these square slices of really thick bread topped with a sweet red sauce, cheese, and one-giant-piece-of-salami-per-slice-that-definitely-isn’t-the-same-thing-as-pepperoni. The pizzas are reminiscent of public school lunches, but maybe a bit more oily/greasy.

+ good pizza, fresh toppings — thin crust overcooked Ordered the medium thin Inflation Fighter tonight. Girl over the phone was friendly. They told me 30 minutes. Upon entering the establishment we were presented with a clean dining room and cash counter. Pizza was ready and we got some plates and napkins. Upon opening the box we noticed lots of fresh toppings. It tasted pretty good but unfortunately the crust was a far too overcooked for us, very dark brown and crunchy. The sausage was the best part of the pizza. I’ll have to order the thick crust next time to see if it’s any better.

When it comes to pizza I usually try to order the same thing the first time to see if they make my preferred pizza well. I order a Pepperoni and Jalepeno pizza on their Sicilian/Thick crust. The pepper were nice and spicy combined with the sweetness of the sauce was a great combination. The pizza was very filling and easily a medium could provide an okay meal for 2 – 3 people or make one person very full and happy for the entire day. I also have tried their Zoni’s which were good but not worth the extra waiting time it takes to prepare. The Italian Zoni with Garlic Butter was great and if I wanted it again I would likely call ahead for a pickup order. I really need to go back and give the other crusts a try as well but their Sicilian crust is so good and that whenever I am in the neighborhood I just stick to what I already know. The garlic bread is worth ordering as a side but the breadsticks were nothing special and a little dry. This place is very much worth the price and worth it if you are a fan of thick crust pizza.

It’s a rare treat when I get a chance to eat Adriatico’s, as I no longer live anywhere near the delivery area. Usually, I tend to prefer thinner crust on a pizza, but this place is one of the exceptions. Their sicilian crust is SOGOOD and has a great flavor, and it’s the right balance of chewy and crispy. The sauce is just a little spicy; enough to be flavorful, but not too much for those of us who are spice weenies. It can be a little greasy, especially if you get any kind of meat(but seriously, you HAVE to get the giant pepperonis). I recommend pepperoni and pineapple, but that’s basically the best topping combo of all time anyway. Also, it’s just as good the next day when it’s cold! If you eat in, the place is pretty small. They have seating for maybe 25 people, and a few tvs. If you order a draft beer, it’s only bud/bud light and served in a 12 oz plastic cup. The prices are a little higher than your typical pizza, but if you get the sicilian style it will go a long way, as the pieces are really thick. If you’re in the campus area, you have to try it!

If you go to any OSU club event, there’s a 50% chance that you’re going to be served Adriatico’s. Not that it’s a bad thing — their pizzas are quite good, and they have a variable selection of toppings. In particular, their cheese is deliciously hot and gooey — exactly what you’d want on a pizza. My only complaint is that the pizzas are unbelievably greasy, to the extent that you will have oil dripping over anything and everything. I can almost feel my pores clogging just by being in the presence of these pizzas. Invariably, I’ll use about 5 – 6 napkins simply just to dab up the excess oil that soaks through my plate.(sorry guys, minus 1.5 stars for that…) Pricing isn’t too bad — you can get a giant Buckeye size(18“x23″ for $ 30) or a Large size(18“x12″ for $ 15) depending on the size of your crowd, which works pretty well for groups. Service is very friendly(they give you tons of napkins and plates for takeout/delivery), and its convenient location right next to campus makes it an ideal place from which to order pizza. Just wish the pizzas weren’t so oily!

If only if u like a greasy greasy pizza. I mean dripping oil greasy! Pay them a visit! It’s a small little shoppe that smell like Mouth watering pizza but no! Not good at all! Service is nice and friendly and the pizza’s are HUGE! Their viggie was my favorite out of all of the other options. Filled with viggies but again too greasy to finish ur slice!

I ate a lot of Adriatico’s when I was in college. Working at the Ohio Union, it was common to have catered leftovers. Our fridge was frequently full of cold slabs of it. The good news is, it still holds up! I have eaten a lot of pizza in a lot of places since then, and it’s still deilcious. The sauce is spicy and so full of flavor. I could go for a Buckeye right now!

Mmmm… no lie, but I’m salivating just thinking about the cheesy goodness that could potentially be in my mouth. This place is hella good, and to have it conveniently located near where I’m living on campus? Hell yes! I’ve still never been to New York(womp womp), but I have a good idea of what the pizza is supposed to be like. Granted, Adriatico’s doesn’t quite fit the stereotype, it’s still a well rounded pizza joint that really delivers in quality and taste. I ordered a personal supremo pizza one night when everything else on campus is closed over the summer. In just twenty minutes or so, I went down to pick up my order and came home with a piping hot, delicious pizza with plenty of meats and toppings. I find that the crust really makes it or breaks it in most cases, and fortunately their pizzas deliver above and beyond! Personal pizzas here start at $ 5.60 with each additional topping being 60 cents. It’s so worth it to load up your pizza with more toppings to make it better and better. The pizza definitely deserves some praise and is a great addition to the OSU community. Whether you’re a student or not, it’s worth the journey into campus just to get a taste of real, delicious pizza. Parking is available on the street as well as in the nearby lot.
