I loved this place. I was in town for work and found that they had country line dancing on Tuesdays. Everyone was super nice and I learned new dances. They were amazed I caught on so fast. I eventually told them that I actually teach line dancing. The added bonus was that the food was great! I had a burger and onion rings which were both REALLY good! I would definitely return if I’m ever back in the area.

So I was traveling and it was after 9:00, and I wanted a decent sit down dinner but I didn’t want the price or the time of the steakhouses in the neighborhood. I drove past Blazing Saddles and it looked inviting. The atmosphere is country charming with a mid life crowd. There was line dancing when I was there, which was enjoyable to watch. Good people enjoying a dance. I had the wings and the mix of fries and rings which were really good. I especially liked the batter dipped onion rings which someone had perfected over time. They were crunchy and well prepared. This place isn’t supposed to be fancy or pretentious which is what I wanted. Good food prepared well with a friendly staff and patronage.

Love the ambience, food is an «eh». Seasoning is our friend. Superior service but the food, I couldn’t even think about finishing. Bland, Bland, Bland. The service is the only reason this review receives 3 stars, otherwise it would be a 2 star rating.

Party of five arrived on March 21 at 4pm for supper. Dance lessons were going on so we got to watch. Waitress was fast to the table and return quickly with the drinks. Three people ordered apps and two ordered burgers. All of our good arrived in a timely manner and was all correctly prepared. All five of us were pleased with the service and food. Know if you are«eggs» or «sausages» so you won’t get mixed up!!!

We had a late lunch in a Saturday. Cute décor. It was very loud with only two other tables occupied and the music was a bit too elevated for our taste. Doesn’t seem to be any sound dampening there and we found it hard to hear each other talk. Food took what seemed like a long time with only one table ahead of us. Husband had biscuits and grilled chicken(instead of fried) which he said was very good. My burger was good but a bit unmanageable due to its size. The owner did honor a coupon that he didn’t have to which we appreciated. All in all it was good but don’t think we would make a special trip from Picktown to go again. I am quite sure the nightlife is a lot of fun!

The biscuit bread for the sandwiches is amazing! The Owner is so friendly and everything there is handmade and made to order! Great music, great food and great staff! Definitely my new hang out!

Well, it’s no longer a new place and Blazing Saddles is getting more and more popular. They are now open 7 days a week and the happy hour is still kick-ass. The menu is upscale for a «saloon» and very reasonable. Try the Sunday brunch, it’s excellent. Pay $ 15 and the Bloody Marys and mimosas flow until you are sick of it. Don’t expect greasy omelettes and home fries, instead think a variety of benedicts and skillets. Service is great and the people are friendly.

This was a good place to eat until I was ripped off today. I tried their burger challenge that if you finish the burger your meal is free. Two times I checked to make sure that they were still having it. Both times I was told they are still doing the challenge. Well after I finished the challenge I was told that they are not offering it anymore. The waitress said they stopped it last week. After that I spoke with the manager, and the manager stated they stopped it on Monday. So I have two different dates when it stopped. I was going to recommend this place but after this not a chance.

I must say my family was excited to have lunch /dinner here. After, we wished we had never gone in. We had deviled eggs, fried pickles, and the Buffalo egg rolls. For dinner I had penne pasta and chicken, my mom had meatloaf, my wife had salad, son had corn dogs. Deviled eggs were nowhere near as good as the eggs you would get at any family picnic. Fried Pickles were about average. The buffalo egg rolls were amazing for me but no one else liked the chicken and pepperoni mixture. Dinner eh — was terrible. My meal and my mother’s meal both came out luke warm at best. They took them back to kitchen and heated them up. Came out steaming hot but the taste was horrible. The meatloaf had a tomato basil type of sauce on it, horrible. The salad my wife had was good for her and the corn dogs for my son were ok. My mother and I sent almost our whole plate back and I was actually astonished that a manager did not come by at all. Which leads me to believe this is typical for their restaurant and they are tired of hearing the complaints. I hope their bar is awesome because they will not survive serving the food they have.

I was there once already and this is my second time. As a starting business. I like it. I think it’s ok from both food and service. I hope the owner/investors are watching this forum and they can do something. As the opportunity for it to survive is limited. Again I had nothing bad to say so far, my burger the first time was good. And service was average. I witnessed waitresses fight that’s a bonus right?

Went to Blazing Saddles over lunch on a Friday. The burger I had was so big, I thought I was going to get the meat sweats. It was excellent. We also had the Jalapeño poppers. The poppers aren’t breaded, they’re wrapped in bacon! It was my first time in, I’m sure I’ll be back. They have WiFi, so it might have just become a new working lunch /lunch meeting spot.

A couple of years ago we moved to Columbus from San Antonio, TX. So having a husband born & raised in TX, he’s always looking for a TX type dancehall — country western place — to dance or two step. We headed out — date night — to check it out. Went kind of early, got a table, ordered some food. My hubby said his burger was under seasoned. We got some chicken fried bacon. It was good but freaked me out each bite how greasy & bad for me it was. I could only eat half a bacon slice. I got some fried chicken with gravy & one of the sides was cottage cheese. Just reminds me of Ron Burgundy«MILKWAS A BADIDEA» hahahahh I mean my big purpose was to go to a dancehall, drink lots of whiskey & two-step. Cottage cheese would kill the end of a good evening. hahah Anyway — they had a live band, we danced a bit. It was ok — it was fun. Sure I enjoyed myself — I was OUT boozing & eating batter fried bacon — BUT overall it was just way too small & the dynamic I was looking for was just not there. So unfortunately I may not be back UNLESS Kenny Chesney or Tim McGraw play there. :D

Was traveling to Columbus and was referred to eat at Blazin Saddles. Food options for vegetarians were limited to basically burger toppings. Nice service and food was good. Not too pricey either. It’s apparently a great night spot for dancing and country music. Wouldn’t recommend for lunch though

Although I hadn’t heard to many good things about the place, I thought we would give it a try. Well the stories I heard were true and I fear that without some help from Restaurant Impossible, this place will go the way of the previous tenants that have occupied this location. The service I would have to rate a C at best. Despite her friendly personality, our server might be better in a different field The food is a D. we had chili that although the ingredients were ok. it came out room temperature. and the corn bread we assumed came with it, was an extra $ 3. and didn’t resemble anything that grandma would make. Maybe grandpa would have bought it from the grocery and tried to pass it off as homemade. we won’t be back

Food was okay. Chili was luke warm, when mentioned to server, she said«I will tell the kitchen», not take it back and bring it out hot. Very disappointing… kitchen & Owners need to get there act together or Blazing Saddles will blaze itself into non-existence.

First visit tonight. Arrived at around 6 pm, and the place was dead. 4 people in the restaurant area, and 4 at the bar. For a Thursday night, not a good sign. We were seated immediately of course, and the waiter was good. This is in the old Fudruckers building — very small. There are maybe 20, 4 top tables, no booths or large tables, and the bar area. The dance floor and stage take up half of the place. The food: ordered the wings as an appetizer — very good! Then we both ordered burgers(my normal test for a new place). They advertise them as ¾ pound burgers – good, right? Well, when they arrived, they were nowhere close to being that big. The bun was twice the size of the burger, so it looked big, but very deceiving Ordered them cooked medium, and they were both overcooked – not even a speck of pink. Taste was OK, but if you can’t cook a burger to medium, you fail in my book. Atmosphere was OK, but like I said it was pretty dead – may check it out on a Saturday night when a band is playing. We’ll see. Overall, rating it a 3 — just OK – nothing spectacular. Probably not a good time to open a restaurant in this area – the Rt 23 – 270 construction is a disaster, and will only get worse in the next year. Good Luck!
