I’ve been here many times, for lunch, when I was working, and for late breakfasts(with a group) on football Saturdays,(with a group of friends) and lunch or dinner several other times, since retirement. We all agree that it is a fun, casual diner, with heavy emphasis on Elvis, and Marilyn Monroe décor. I would recommend this place to anyone. There Omelets, and Pancakes leave nothing to be desired. Look out for the Pancakes. they tend to be very large.

Do not waste your time! Place is dirty, food was not good and very greasy. Also the one of the cooks looks like he wants to kill you if he catches you looking at him while he is cooking. Waitresses really spend more time socializing than anything, I watched one sweep the floor and a napkin was stuck under the table leg, she swiped at it several times with the broom then gave up and left it, lol! And for the prices you could easily go to Bob Evans or Waffle house and get somewhat better food.

Greasy spoon diner at its best! Love old places like this! If you are a foofy person, you will not like this place! There’s nothing HEALTHY about this place! I ordered the Works Omelet with extra cheese! Looks superb, my fiancé ordered the steak and cheese omelet also super yummy! Love the fried taters! Like my daddy used to make. Service was fast and they immediately greeted us the minute we walked in! I would recommend this place if you can deal with old greasy spoon feel!!!

Fitzy’s is amazing. Home cooking for a great price is a classic 50’s diner atmosphere. If you go there enough the servers pretty much know you by heart. The only downside is when you leave your clothes smell a bit like the place. Beyond that, amazing home-cooked food.

Best diner in town, affordable great food. Service is great. Really cool place to eat. We have gone back several times since we found it.

Food and service is average. The club was a bit dry and the cheese fries seemed like an afterthought for the kitchen. They really weren’t hot and the cheese wasn’t melted. Not worth the money. Nobody on my group was impressed. My friends and I are on a diner tour and we probably won’t be back.

My expectations were high before going into the diner based on others reviews although they were quickly squashed. While the service was friendly the food was just okay. The cleanliness of the diner could be better. My meal was reasonable as I had breakfast food but my friends meals were more pricy. Will I return to this diner? No. Would I recommend this diner? No.

Stopped in here for the first time. I’m a fan now. Just basic diner food done right. No gimmicks. Excellent service.

Ok for a strip mall diner, but not as good as the nearby Yanni’s Greek Grill. We actually went here for a late dinner. Service was a bit slow since there was only one person working around six tables. Waitress had to re-ask my order after taking it once, and my hash browns were not extra crispy as requested, but whatever. It’s cheap, filling food, great to preface or suffix a night of drinking. For under $ 10, your only other options are fast food chains, and I would eat here over McD’s for breakfast any day.

Heard good things. Tried it a few times. It’s pretty lousy. The beat up old divey diner vibe would be cool if the kitchen didn’t cut corners with canned potatoes, and vegetables. These days, you’ve got to come strong. Pass.

I used to eat here quite often many years ago amd enjoyed every meal. It seems things have taken a downward turn. I got a to go order and half of it was missing. The sausage and corned beef hash was burned. The eggs and potatoes could have used at least some salt but other seasonings would be nice as well. The eggs were good but I was wholly irritated and had trouble enjoying them. If I return here it will only because I lack better options.

Great burgers and pancakes but the best part is the service. Always friendly and fast.

First of all, it is what it is! Come here if you like old school greasy spoons. Don’t come if you demand an omelet made with chorizo, goat cheese, caramelized rhubarb, and broccoli rabe with a sprinkle of truffle oil! As for me, I appreciate both sorts of places! The food was decent enough– I had a platter with good french toast, solid sausage, and okay eggs, adding a side of tasty enough rye toast. But the iced tea was pretty atrocious, more akin to water than tea. Service was fine and old timey, and prices were about average. Good enough.

This place is ok if you’re out of options. I have to say we had really amazing service. Our waitress was great. Food was less than average but overall, it was tolerable. Although it probably didn’t help there was some old man there who sounded like he was going to cough up a bucket of thick phlegm at any given moment… or asphyxiate on it. Needless to say, I’m not a gagger but a few times… just ugh. Nasty. How you’re suppose to eat with someone doing that is beyond me. If so, congratulations to you-you have an iron stomach… and/or gag-reflex. Is it a favorite place I’d go to all the time: probably not. If I’m in need of something 24⁄7 — probably. Nothing to scream about though…

This is one of my favorite places to go for a late night breakfast. The biscuits are fluffy and light. Just a perfect foil to gravy and eggs. The clientele usually provides some free entertainment and they have several hot sauces which is always a plus to me.

My wife and I discovered Fitzy’s a year ago through Unilocal and gave it a try while we were in Columbus for the Equine Affaire. It has become our go-to for breakfast whenever we are in town. They offer a fairly standard breakfast menu, but the food is better than you would expect from looking at the place. The décor reflects the interests of a bygone era: Marilyn, Elvis, The Duke(that’s John Wayne to you kids out there), Annette Funicello. Everything looks a little rundown, like it hasn’t changed in at least twenty years. You won’t find white tablecloth style or service, or even Denny’s style or service here. What you will find is well-cooked authentic American Diner fare, cooked and served by local folks for local folks. My wife is an admitted carboholic, and rates breakfast joints on the quality of their home fries. She puts Fitzy’s at the top of her list, not just for Columbus but for anywhere. It’s as if they crumbled a perfectly baked potato(without the skin) over the grill and browned it in butter. The rest of the breakfast menu is great, but those home fries stand out. We’ve eaten there enough to notice that the food changes depending on who is manning the grill, but the quality was consistently good. Service was also good: not badgering us to refill our coffee every couple of minutes, but not ignoring us either. If you are tired of institutional restaurant-chain food and want to experience The Real Deal Hometown American Diner, Fitzy’s has it in spades. Give them a try and see for yourself.
