There is no 0 star option, or negative for that matter. I came here to say my final goodbye to my father which I did yesterday. I have never been so poorly treated in my 50 years on this earth. The mental anguish that I have experienced multiplied a million times by the manager at this Hampton Inn named Garth. With the passing of my father I had to extend my stay and had a legal matter that needed to be attended to today by 10am. Because of the holiday I had to have a package fed exed overnight with 8 am delivery to the hotel. I advised the staff of the package and begged them to make sure I received it as soon as it came. I received a call stating the package was refused. I called the front desk and was told that this was my fault. You see when I checked in I provided my name but they put the reservation under my previous last name because of their point system. They failed to list my name as I gave it to them and how it shows on the IID and credit card that was provided. I was very upset and my voice was raised. I did not curse, I was angry with a slightly elevated voice. The package even has my room number and first name matched. They were very aware I was anxious for the package. The manager was condescending and rude and refused to listen to the facts. This man instead of apologizing and taking responsibility continued to interrupt and hang up on me and called the police to have me leave the property. He refused to give me the name of who he reports to and stated there is no one higher. My 13 year old son was witness and even the police told me that this guy was unbelievable and apologized for his behavior as this was not reflective of the folks in this town. After leaving I called fed ex and guess what, both names were actually clearly listed on the package. I have filed a corporate complaint with Hilton and will be writing letters to send to all media, news and printed news outlets. Oh and the manager refuses to give me the personal belongings that were left because of the quick departure we were forced to make. Enjoy the mac book pro Garth C. Galbrairh. This is not the last you will hear from me. Garth you are a disgrace to the service industry and are not qualified to even be one that picks up garbage from the side of the road. And yes I called you a jerk, I was being polite. You are far worse than that Garth Galbrairh. You have a couple of grest staff members, Lisa specifically was nothing but outstanding. She deserves better.

Stayed here when visiting from out of town for the recent Rolling Stones’ concert because I’ve consistently found the Hampton Inn to be affordable, clean, efficient & generally a good experience. This location did not disappoint. Not terribly far from downtown(or the Ohio Stadium if you’re in the area for something similar), it’s probably also a bit cheaper than locations slightly closer to downtown & you don’t have to deal with the hassle & added expense of valet parking. Like any Hampton Inn, you’ll have the free hot breakfast at 6:00 a.m., free WiFi, a free pool & gym, free cookies & cocoa/coffee when they’re available & the other usual perks of staying at a Hampton Inn. If you’re staying in the Columbus area, I’d choose a Hampton Inn. This one has everything you’ll need for a comfortable night’s stay & then some.

Horrible sound control and poor service. Between 11pm and midnight rooms across the hall kept letting their doors shut on the door stop with a loud slam. Happened well over 25 times and the rooms are not well protected f sounds in the hall. The front desk when called said I think they are going to sleep soon… How would they know! Unwilling to act was upsetting and frustration when again at 8 am the slamming started up.

Clean & modern feeling. We saved some money staying a little out of downtown, but I didn’t notice a decline in quality. I would stay here again.

Stayed here on a cross country trip. Checked in late. Front desk manager was helpful and nice. The room was clean, but the temperature was high and the room was really really humid(to the point of being uncomfortable), and didn’t cool off until the middle of the night. The breakfast was really well done and convenient.

I’ve probably spent a total of about 40 nights in this hotel. I’ve been coming here for work since the summer of ’08. This is probably one of the most comfortable, affordable hotels I’ve ever stayed in and especially the best hampton I’ve ever stayed in. Free internet, which is a standard at hampton and very appreciated. Free hot breakfast, which is also standard. Great indoor pool(which I’ve sadly never used), a tiny gym room, but here’s the great part. Hampton has partnered with a local gym and they let you use the Gym down the street FORFREE. Free cookie at check in, clean comfortable linens, clean rooms, clean bathrooms and always friendly front desk service. There’s no better hotel in West Columbus for the amount you pay.
