Lakeshore Learning Store

My go to toy store. They are educational, but unique and fun. They are reasonably priced when you compare the prices to other sites. However, overall they are more expensive but they are high quality toys. You get what you pay for!
Always greeted at the door. The employees provide recommendations if needed and they are always spot on! My son loves his toys, but also gaining something from it.

This is a store aimed at educators. I think. Fortunately, the staff has helped me several times to get some needed school items and «extra work» books to help my son out.
The staff — friendly and knowledgeable, able to recommend products and take you exactly to what you think you were looking for (remember when other stores used to do this?).
I come here for work books and educational toys — and I’ll be back for more books as my boys get older.

EEEK! Alert over-​priced kids toys here!
I was sent here to find my nephew a specific toy and I thought, «Well hey, instead of wondering around various targets, meijers, etc. might as well go straight to the big guys and try to find it…»
So that part is true, the store has anything and everything parents, aunts/​uncles, teachers, and kids (and kids at heart) would want. When I was roaming the aisles I wanted everything I saw, and was tempted to just get it for myself until I did the ritual of picking up the item and looking at the price tag at the bottom!
I know I am not that familiar with how much crafting and play goodies run, but 6 foam blocks should not total more than $ 50.
Other then the outrageously overpriced items, this place is a nifty store to visit! It really has everything you could think of, and I did find the toy that my nephew begged for (or should I say my sister). The store also has activities for kids to do right then and there! While I was in the store groups where making headdresses and also playing games with the workers.
The staff was friendly and even attempted to understand my random descriptions and pictures of what I was looking for!

I absolutely love this place. It’s a playground for teachers! I literally could spend hours in this place looking at new and fun ways to teach my preschoolers.
The staff is always knowledgeable on the products and the location of every item in the store. I called ahead to find out if they carried preschool sized graduation caps. The staff member placed me on hold for 2 mins. then came back with a YES, the price, and let me know they were on SALE! I replied with a OH YEAH!!! She said does that mean I should put a pack on hold for you. Both laughing by this time… I said yes.
Made it to the store in an hour and the caps were waiting on me.
Of course I still stayed in the store for another 30 mins but it was great to have that kind of customer service.
They also offer activities for young children on Saturday mornings. So not only does that allow children to have a blast in the store but can give parents and teachers ideas to incorporate at home or school.
The parking can get a little tricky because it sits in a busy strip mall but well worth the bob and weave of traffic.
The restrooms are even kid decorated and fun. My daughters started singing the ABC song as they did their biz. Normally public bathrooms give me the willies because of my 2 girls but it was clean and smelled great. Thumbs Up… Aditude approved!
