Just had dinner and the food was fantastic. A full plate of food and drink for $ 10 is a great deal. I have a vegetarian plate which was lentils, rice, salsa and green beans. It sounds a little plain, but everything was seasoned so well, it really was a nice break from the hotel food I’ve been living in this week! The server was very nice and explained the menu before I ordered. It was not very busy. I think maybe this place is a lunch spot. The only thing I did not like was that because it was very slow, no one was there to greet me when I walked in, I sort of wandered up to the counter, but it was not obvious to me that I was supposed to that our if someone would seat me. Another couple came in after me and I think left because they didn’t notice. Other than that the service was great, as was food. Highly recommend!

My Dad stopped in here today after his haircut(next door) and Rawle invited him for dinner. Until now Ike Petite Caraibes has been open for lunch and this was their first night open for dinner. So we had quite a food adventure and shared a custom made tapas style dinner as we wanted to try everything. Very tasty curried chicken, delicious stewed pork(ask for extra gravy for dipping), chicken with peppers and tomatoes(yum), Jamaican jerked chicken which is spicy hot. Plus curried chickpeas(my fav and I don’t even like chickpeas!), curried potatoes, unbelievably tasty red beans, fried rice(yummy), regular rice, okra and potatoes deliciously seasoned in an indescribable sauce, green beans and more. We enjoyed a Rawle Caribbean special drink of rum, cranberry, pineapple and lemon/lime that perfectly balanced the spicy foods. Finished it off with a homemade slice of chocolate cake with coconut whipped topping. Delicious! Rawle comes from a family of chefs from Trinidad and creates some delicious specialties that you’re sure to enjoy. All of his staff are friendly and courteous and made this a Caribbean adventure to remember!

It took me a long time to get here, but I’m so glad I came. The staff(owners?) were very friendly, the ambiance is inviting, and the smells are divine. I had curried cabbage, curried chickpeas, and jerk chicken. The food was delicious, living up to the promise of the aromas. Can’t wait to go back!

The food was very good quality and authentic. I had the grilled fish, house rice, and red beans. It was excellent. My kids loved the food as well. The staff was helpful and personable. I highly recommend!

This place smells AMAZING and from a block away. Finally found a day to try it last week with a friend. It was«ok». You definitely can’t beat the price since a drink is included. But the flavor wasn’t as strong as the smells and left me kinda disappointed. I had the fried rice, cabbage and shredded chicken. The rice was pretty good, the cabbage decently good but the chicken was cold and lacking in flavor :-/ I will try this place again. It really just smells THAT good, and I’m hoping it was an off day.

Good food, friendly staff, enjoyed experience. Small selection, but everything I had was good. I tried the jerk chicken with the curried potatoes and green beans. I will definitely be going back for lunch in the future.

I hope I’m not bumming anyone out with the first non-five-star review. This place is really good but not incredible. There has been a line out the door every day I’ve walked by but today was a thinner crowd so I decided to go for it. I’ve never had Caribbean food, so I was pretty excited about it. The menu is simple and there are big banners behind the counter describing the different meal combos and their prices. Easy. I decided on a «Petit Plate» which includes the choice of chicken/shrimp/potatoes, plus one side, plus a drink. I told the very kind lady that I would like to try the potatoes and that I am vegetarian, so I trusted her to choose my side. She put some curried chick peas on my plate and handed the plate on to the next worker who was supposed to plate the potatoes. He said«you’ll like the cabbage» and put it on my plate without asking then handed it off to the cashier to ring up. No potatoes – just cabbage, chick peas with rice and a drink. I’m not sure if something was lost in translation or what… The food was really good and the price can’t be beat. But its not the lunch I would have eaten if I had been given a choice. I could have complained, but then again I am the dummy who said«I trust you». I’ll try it again.

Fresh Caribbean food at a great price! The owner and cooks are from Trinidad and Tobago and they brought their delicious food with them. Plus it’s a better, cheaper, local YATZ alternative.

Lord have Mercy. I tried the curried potatoes, jerk chicken, fish bake and the lentils and none of them have let me down.

After much anticipation, I was finally able to try Le Petit today for lunch on it’s opening day! A few of the first things I noticed when I walked in were all the bold colors, the smell of perfectly blended spices, and a great crew of smiling faces behind the counter. Once I made my way through the que, the owner recommended the roti, so I of course obliged! The potato filling I chose was perfectly cooked and had a mildly spicy hint of something that really complimented the potatoes. In additon to the potato filling, a spoonful of channa adds a different texture to the wrap and the sauce it’s in gets blended throughout and adds a wonderful fusion of bright flavors! For $ 5 and some change for lunch with a drink, I feel this is an excellent deal and most certainly going into my rotation of lunch spots!
