When they actually cook the burger the way you order it… it is amazing. Their burgers are some of the best around.

Marshall’s, yet another neighborhood hangout that isn’t in my neighborhood. When we want good food, good beer and a chill atmosphere, we head here. The restaurant is basically a sports bar set up, with a wall separating the bar from the other half of the restaurant. Lots of TVs for distraction and high and low-top tables. The giant fish aquarium is cool for the kids — they can watch the fish work their way from one tank to the other. Service here has always been friendly and fast, well timed and if I don’t have to wait for another round of drinks, all the better. I’ve never been here for breakfast, but I’ve only heard great things. The portions for lunch and dinner here are huge, which isn’t my biggest selling point, but lots of food means easy sharing. Bonus: They have a kids menu and the prices are reasonable for the amount of food. Sports bar = bar food. Wings, fried foods of various types, big sandwiches, pizzas. Their fried pickles are great, as are their waffle fries. They do have a hummus plate, if you’re looking to eat… well, if you’re at Marshall’s you’re not likely to be watching your waistline, but there you go. There are BBQ options on the menu, and those items are done well overall. I’m a fan of smoked wings anywhere. Overall, Marshall’s is a proven keeper in our dining rotation.

New potential customer turned away– I wouldn’t know much about their food because they acted like they were going to seat us at breakfast this morning, then after they sat several other parties(that came in behind us and were bigger!) they told us to find our own seat. And the staff was extremely rude and acted as if we should just know the way they operate. So I figure if we don’t look important enough to eat there, I won’t be back. *Where are the negative stars(wouldn’t even give them one unless I had to, to let my opinion be known).

We came. We waited. We left. The entire works of Hemingway could have been read cover to cover in the amount of time we waited to receive menus — which never came.

We left after waiting 20 – 30 minutes just to be acknowledged by a server. They came outside(we were sitting on the patio) multiple times but never said«we’ll be right with you» or anything.

You get 6 Mac and Cheese bites for $ 7. Seriously. Six. Six«maybe» Kraft mac and cheese bites for $ 7. And let’s be honest, even if the were Kraft, Kraft sucks. Have a beer or three for happy hour. Then go somewhere else and get food. Try Old Bag of Nails next door. Trust me.

It’s the Harrison’s of Grandview… with a koi pond. I usually have a great time here — it’s never too packed, great for football with decent tv’s, nice pool tables, and I actually like the food. They smoke their wings unlike most — really good! Plus a happy hour that actually works for those of us that«actually work». It’s a neighborhood comfort zone(nothing wrong with that), and not much else. I’ve come in my pajamas to watch Sunday football hungover, and I’ve also come mega dressed up with a group of friends to kill time between wedding and reception. An all-around local dig.

I come to Marshall’s for Wednesday night trivia because I love the awesome neighborhood feel, They offer an extensive list of $ 3 drafts all night long which is great, I love not feeling rushed to pound beers during happy hour, haha

I’ve been to Marshall’s a few times now but only for lunch, and I’m a huge fan of this place in general. This little strip of Grandview across from the park has just an awesome neighborhood feel, and Marshall’s looks right out to the area. The restaurant itself is surprisingly big and has a full bar, which I hear gets pretty rowdy later at night. Of course, there’s the koi pond right in the front when you walk in which sets it apart from other places, but I really just don’t get the point. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we never had to wait long for anything. The last time I was here I went with a burger, and it was pretty delicious, so I had to go with one again, but this time I had the Smoke Stack. It’s a pretty monstrous ½ lb burger with house smoked pulled pork, cheddar cheese, and slaw. This should be enough food for a normal person, but the main reason I had come this day was to try the smoked wings, so I put in an order of 10 of those as well. My girlfriend played it safe and went with a BLT. The food did not take long to come out at all, and we chowed down on the wings first. They’re smoked and grilled, which has become my new favorite thing, and we had them with the Hot BBQ. I really enjoyed these and so did she. It only took about another 5 minutes for the entrees to come out, and I’d be lying if I said I ate everything, because there’s no way I was finishing that burger. I cut it in half and brought the rest home and barely touched the fries. The burger was delicious, and the pulled pork was very tender, but I had to get extra BBQ sauce, since I could hardly taste any. Not a big deal. My girlfriend added more mayo to the BLT and thought it was really good. For a couple sodas, an app, and two lunch entrees, it only cost about $ 30, but you could easily get out of here under $ 20 for two people. If I lived within walking distance, I’m sure I’d be here all the time, and I’d love to check out the nightlife side of the place. I always forget that it’s here, but it’s definitely a great spot for brunch and lunch, so I’ll for sure be back more often.

The Marshal’s Special was a pretty good brunch option. There is a nice outdoor patio. The fish inside that can swim«through» the wall are pretty awesome. Pretty decent draft beer selection. Overall slightly above average and worth a stop on a nice afternoon!

I only give it two stars for bartenders. Nothing. Else. What used to be a staple in the Grandview breakfast community, it has gone the wayside. DK Diner has taken the reigns of best breakfast in town. The breakfast food quality has casually strolled down a hill, nearing the bottom where the dinner food has been sitting for a long time. I would love to come here and enjoy half decent bar food but this is garbage and overpriced. Reheated frozen garbage. Don’t bother. With any of it. Also if you’re into watching the ball game at the bar, I’d go somewhere else unless you want to experience throwback Thursday with at least 5 tube tvs above the bar, 2 grand would easily bring this place into 2015. And all the patio furniture needs replaced before spring, the picnic tables are rickety at best and the might stab you when you sit down. FYI. I have meant to do this review for a long time but the straw that broke the camels back was when I asked for a grilled cheese(typical white bread w american cheese) I get a burnt mess with some mix of white cheese that is unidentifiable. Maybe Swiss? Provolone? Who knows. Enough is enough and some major changes need to happen to the atmosphere and food or this place will continue dying a slow painful death.

Think of the most average bar in the world. Add some random fish tanks and a breakfast buffet. You’ve got Marshall’s! The food sucks, the drinks are cheap(happy hour until 9!) and it’s usually not too packed until later in the evening. Trivia on Wednesday nights is a lot of fun, and if you live around Grandview, it’s a good place to grab a drink. Other than that, it’s nothing special, but I think that’s needed from time to time.

The girls from work and I are always looking for the best bar Trivia Night in Columbus where we can be competitive and there is a minimum of OSU sports questions! We’ve been hitting Marshall’s the past few Wednesdays. The trivia is great – good competition and we’ve even been right a few times on sports categories! Prizes go to places 1st, 2nd and 3rd – and it’s a Marhsall’s gift card – so nothing major, but definitely a good time! I think we’re gonna continue the search though based on Marshall’s food. Ugh. It’s bar food – but it’s all freezer burned and nasty. Wednesday you get $ 1 off a pizza. The personal pizzas(still approx. $ 5.99 with the discount) are brought out on a cardboard circle and are seriously 6″ – tiny! I ordered a cheesesteak once and asked for marinara on the side. It was delivered frozen. Trivia is awesome, environment(the Koi pond is so much fun!) is great, service is okay, but don’t go here to eat at night. Food is gnarly.

We went here for breakfast. I had a number 1, my boyfriend had a Santa Fe omelette. we both thought it was good, but not great. The service was good and people were nice. The food seemed reasonably priced but the quality was mediocre. The restaurant reminded me of a college dive. I will go back, but it won’t be in a huge rush!

I have been to Marshall’s many times and only once had a negative experience. The experience was only negative because they had allowed their liquor license to lapse and I had taken an out of town friend there for a drink(and had been raving about the awesome fish tank and nice pool tables) and then we got there and had to leave for drinks. We STILL had a pretty good time though. The bartenders were really nice about it. I like Marshall’s and will definitely be back!

Great spot! No need to get to in depth on this place but I’m telling you the foods great– amazing menu. This place has a rockin’ buffet that they have on the weekends. The beer selection: superb. Staff: great service all around –best bartenders in town! Atmosphere: This place has a koi pond. Tele’s everywhere and they will put on any game you want. Good local hangout– if you haven’t been where have you been?

Marshall’s is one of my favorite go-to’s for a good ol’ reasonably priced traditional breakfast on the weekends. You can always expect a delicious meal served by a smiling staff. I love their huge Belgium waffle & oversized pancakes with a spice Bloody Mary or coffee. The food is good, but I would like to see a little more variety added to their menu. Guess their koi pond will have to do for now.

I’ve only been to Marshall’s twice — once for breakfast and once for booze. My first experience was very lackluster. We stopped by for bf’s birthday and the bartender was kind of cocky(even making fun of bf’s dirty martini order, which was weird). We hung out for a bit, took photos in the photo booth and left. Needless to say, that experience wasn’t enough to draw us back. The second time was for breakfast, and it felt like we were visiting an entirely different establishment. They had the side dining area open, which resembled your typical breakfast diner spot. We had a ‘buy one, get one’ coupon from the Entertainment book, so that made for a great value. My breakfast was pretty good, although they did forget part of my order. I didn’t make a fuss and just had her remove it from the bill. If giant pancakes are your thing, these are huge. Not as good as German Village Coffee House, but huge. Overall, a decent spot for an inexpensive breakfast but there are comparable places in Grandview. Nightlife? Eh, I guess I could give it another shot but I’m not planning for it.

My charity organization held a happy hour here on Wednesday, and it went fantastic. They gave us a couple of big tables, and our own space to do our thing. They have quite a good beer list, and happy hour goes from 4 – 9(seven days a week). Anyway, it’s a fun place to grab some craft beer at a better price than you will get at most establishments. The fish tank is really the centerpiece of the bar, and it’s fun to look at. Whoever designed it, so that it allows the fish to swim up and through the wall gets an A in my book. Service was good. The only problem is the music was annoyingly loud, so it made talking and listening a little difficult. It took two times asking to get it turned down to a manageable level. All in all, we loved the experience we had at Marshall’s. I will definitely come back and try the food. Those wings look awesome!

I’ve been meaning to come by here for quite a while and tonight I finally got the chance to do it. It’s really not that bad a trip if I take I-670. Well, anyway I wanted to try their hamburgers because I had read good things about them. And they were NOT lying! I ordered the«classic» burger. It came with my choice of potatoes and was loaded up with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. And they ask you how you want it cooked and that’s the way they fix it. The bun they serve it on was delicious as well. Quite different than your normal hamburger bun. Anyway, it wa the perfect buger on the perfect bun! A great meal! And I sat at the bar where the ha four big screens going.

Good breakfast and morning drinks Had breakfast at marshall’s and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I was with a large group but the waitress took care of us all very well. I had the pancakes and they were big, thick and delicious. Not hard, light and fluffy. Will have to have breakfast there again.
