Miller’s is a great place for day drinking and watching sports. This place is huge and there is not a shortage of TV’s. In the nicer weather, the enclosed patio is great because you’re not fully in the sun if you don’t want to be, but the windows are all open. Tons and tons of beer options. I like that they have a vegetarian menu and their veggie wrap is delicious. Their menu is pretty big and the food is what you’d expect from a sports bar. Nothing to write home about, but it’s good!

Perfect for the game and for dinner. There is ample seating here and the menu has a great selection of bar specials. The food selection is sizeable as well. This was my first visit. We went for the OSU bowl game. It was busy but not packed. Service was a bit slow which was odd because they seemed adequately staffed. I enjoyed my beer, my food and the prices were reasonable.

I am surprised at the lack of positive reviews, this place has always been great for me. The food and drinks are good, and the service is efficient and friendly. I have been here in group settings and for quick date nights with my husband, and every time have had a great time. This place is huge, which is nice because there is an array of options for seating.

This place is like a Tardis. It’s a lot bigger on the inside than it looks like from the outside. Best NY strip I have had in a long while. I ordered it Med. and it came out all pink with a nice sear on the outside. It was properly seasoned as well. The burger was overcooked and the chicken fraitas were disappointing. The other two entrees were OK. All in all still 4 stars. TVs everywhere.

A colleague described this best when I mentioned I was meeting people here: «it’s so bro-y». Atmosphere is sports bar, given the dozens of large TVs(in the back room anyway) tuned to a variety Food is solid bar food. Nachos are ginormous. Fish and chips plate is about 1.5 times bigger than I’d expect. Beer taps are pretty extensive, with local, regional, and national craft and some non– craft options. Service is usually pretty friendly. And the giant fireplace in the back room is perfect for winter gatherings(or just winter hanging out). So while it may be «bro-y», I still enjoy it for big group gatherings.

Been here 4 times now for lunch. And the food quality has been spot on everytime. From the fish tacos, to the seafood mac and cheese(wow!), to the country fried chicken… its always delicious. I havent tried them for dinner yet, but I cant see it being any different. The only issue I might have is that a couple of the times the time to get the food was longer than you would expect, especially for a lunch. Ill be back.

Slipping This used to be my favorite place for wings because their lemon pepper wings knocked my socks off. The wings have gotten smaller and the seasoning has become more inconsistent. I have resorted to getting seasoning on the side lately.

Awful, simply awful. Service was as terrible as the unseasoned Zingers appetizer. Bartender forgot to put in our entrée orders, apologized, and we agreed to take our entrees to go. The bartender printed our check and left the bar. 20 minutes later the bartender was still nowhere to be seen and our to go food was brought out by another server. We left cash at the bar and finally saw the bartender as we were leaving, socializing with a coworker. Shame on you, Ale House. We will NOT be back.

Walked in today and was told that they no longer have smithwicks on tap or even in bottle. This was the reason I first came here when they opened. I was told that this was a «corporate» decision. Obviously the assclowns in Florida don’t care what we want in Ohio. I suffered through the reduction in serving sizes glasses, price hikes etc. I paid for my smithwicks regardless. Was Asked a number of times to fill out tap beer surveys and notes. Which I did I said Tap smithwicks was the only reason I came here. Now it’s time to look for somewhere else to go that carries that brew. If an assclown in Florida can ignore my survey — which I got nothing for doing — than we know a pinhead is asleep at the wheel. To the assclowns in corporate — go screw yourself. If your stupid enough to eliminate my tap beer why the hell wouldn’t you at least have bottles. No wonder your losing customers and money. And shame in tony the manager for being an assclown accomplice. Now your totally worthless. By the way. The food sucks too. Ever upgrade to onion rings for a buck and get a plate with 6 onion rings on it time after time. Fool me once shame on me … I’m done with this clip joint Ridiculous … Go to hell millers.

We love the ale house. The food is great, the space is great, and it’s a little piece of home for anyone familiar with their local ale house and not from central Ohio. The captain Jack’s buried treasure after a couple beers reminds me of college. That dessert is amazing. The service has always been good when we’ve gone. It just works.

Large place with lots of TV’s. So many you can’t avoid them. Good place to watch some sports. I came here with a buddy before heading to a concert. We were sat immediately, but it took a manager to notice nobody was serving us. So he came over and asked if anyone was, and then got a server for us. From that point on service was good. Food was okay, nothing I had was too special to talk about. However, I was disappointed in the beer selection. I wish they carried more local brews. Pretty much every beer on the menu you could get anywhere, nothing special, not much of an ale house by my standards.

This place is fine. The food is average. I had a cob salad and my friend had mahi mahi. I didn’t have any problems with service but we sat at the bar. The bartender Aaron was super nice. The food and ambience is on par with an Applebee’s.

Miller’s Ale House is a chain restaurant serving American bar food. This one in Columbus has a pretty big physical footprint, with plenty of open space and numerous TVs. There’s a dining section along with a completely separated bar area. It seems like the perfect place to catch a game. Miller’s Ale House seems like the typical chain restaurant to me(ie. Applebee’s, Chili’s, Texas Roadhouse) but with a more extensive beer list and larger food portions. I found it refreshing that they have rotating daily special. I visited on a Monday, when they offered a 1.25 lb. full rack of baby back ribs for $ 10.99. While the price is hard to beat(normally $ 17.99), the actual taste(or lack thereof) was disappointing. I found myself asking for extra BBQ sauce. It was hard for me to find any intrinsic meat flavor or smokiness. However with that said, I was full afterwards. The rib meal came with 2 sides. Value yes, taste not so much. Anyways, Miller Ale House is certainly a good option for big groups or to grab a beer while watching the game. As long as you’re expecting chain restaurant experience and food, you won’t be disappointed. The portion sizes are generous and the pricing is fair. Their Tuesday Ossobuco dinner for $ 11.99 sounds very tempting, so I may actually be back to try that.

Meh. The craft beer list is deserving of ironic quotes around craft. The list is paltry and lacks diversity in style or flavor. I was glad to see a local IPA on tap from Columbus Brewing, but otherwise, it’s uninspired. The food wasn’t terrible, but it also lacked originality. Service was good. I can see why people would like this place for sports — there are TVs are any surface that isn’t moving — but you can do much better in Columbus.

So Miller’s Ale House is apparently a chain restaurant that serves what I would call American bar food. I would say that it’s ultimately similar to Applebee’s or Chili’s. Except Miller’s is much better than Applebee’s. First, their beer list is much more impressive– for both regular beer drinkers and craft beer drinkers. It being a newer building, the interior is clean, modern, and comfortable. There is an impressive amount of TVs positioned throughout the restaurant. The wait staff is friendly. Parking spaces are ample. The pricing is reasonable, and the food portions are generous. In terms of food quality, Matt the Miller’s down the street in Grandview is far superior, but you’ll probably leave Miller’s Ale House feeling more full. Since Applebee’s at Olentangy & Ackerman recently ruined their happy hour appetizer deal by slashing portions and selection significantly, I’ll probably replace them on my rotation of American bar food restaurants with Miller’s Ale House. With that said, while I hope that this restaurant succeeds, Grandview is already full of some heavy hitters when it comes the bar food scene with places like the Winking Lizard, Matt the Millers, The Old Bag of Nails, and the new Hofbrauhouse. It’d be nice to see Miller’s Ale House pick it up a notch by offering more special deals to differentiate itself.

Came here for dinner/drinks. This place is huge! I felt like we(just my boyfriend and I) were seating in a weird place. We walked in and expected to be seated at a nearby table or booth(there were quite a few empty ones). Instead, we were taken on a long walk to the entire other side of the restaurant to the large back room, and we were seated at a tiny high table. We had almost the whole back room to ourselves; it was strange. Food-wise, pretty decent and affordable. We ordered the fiesta nachos as an appetizer, and the plate was HUGE! My boyfriend and I could have definitely just ordered that to split between the two of us, and it would have been more than filling. We didn’t know that and instead ordered a steak and flatbread which we were barely able to take more than a few bites out of before getting totally full. Something else that I noticed was there were so many TV’s. In the back room(where I was sitting), televisions were lined up side by side on the wall, circling the entire room! I counted 20+ TV’s in one room. Each was showing a different channel too. Overall, decent location, food portion sizes were generous and priced reasonably, seating was a little weird. Seems like a good place to hang out /meet up with a large group of friends.

Millers, or Columbus Ale House as some call it, is conveniently located right in front of my apartment complex, so I find myself there all too often. It’s a chain based out of Florida, so don’t expect anything to fancy or amazing when it comes to food quality, but it’s a large family restaurant for when you want a quick meal or if you have a large group. The wood paneling all around the restaurant is a little odd, but it goes with their deep sea fishing theme(there are fishing poles everywhere). Doesn’t make any sense for a Columbus restaurant, but I’ll let that slide. They have an awesome craft beer selection, and $ 10 pitchers of various mixed drinks. Needless to say, the prices here are MUCH cheaper than anything you’re going to find in the Victorian Village/Short North area down the street. It’s a great place to watch a game, there are TVs everywhere, and you can actually sit down, which is rare during March Madness or an Ohio State football game. Weeknight dinner specials are another high point for me. On Mondays they have a whole rack of ribs and 2 sides for just $ 10.99… doesn’t get much better than that. Finally, I have to call out their ice cream cake. It has some fancy name about a pirate or treasure or something, but it is the best ice cream cake I have ever eaten, hands down. Imagine Dairy Queen ice cream cake and multiply it by like 10, you’re still not even on the level of this cake. Millers is an awesome addition to the area!

So i went to Millers last night, and i can honestly say ive never seen larger portions in my life. EVER! They have a great selection of beer for pretty good prices, whoch was good considering its an ale house. They live up to their name in this department. We got the loaded fries and calamari to start, calamari was decent, nothing special. The fries are great though and come on a huge saucer… The most surprising thng is that with these huge portions, they have very fair prices! I got the mahi mahi tacos with fries… Delicious and filling. Basically no disappointments here! My froend got the nachos… And all i can say is WOAH. Unreal. Enough for seriously ten people. Feast your eyes…

I used to live in Miami and would frequent the North Miami Beach Ale House almost once a week. My brother lived on the Gulf side of Florida and also enjoyed his fair share of the Ale House. When I was back in Ohio for the holidays, he informed me that a Miller’s Ale House had opened in Chicago, and we had to go there. I immediately asked when? We were doing some shopping in Columbus and decided to go to Miller’s afterward. It had the exact same setup as the NMB Ale House. I ordered my usual 35 fried shrimp buffalo style with sides of hot sauce and ranch. They tasted exactly the same as I remembered, and I loved every, single bite. They were way more filling than I remembered and even with my brother helping me, I regretted to leave some on my plate. Maybe it’s just the nostalgia, but I absolutely love this place. I wish they would build on in Charlottesville, or maybe Cleveland, so I could go when I was visiting family.
