We had been thinking for a while about going to the Cucinova at Easton but never made it, and talking today about doing something for Restaurant Week, when we stumbled on this location. Two birds… The RW deal is two salads, pizzas, and drinks for $ 20. Who can beat that? And they’re not small pizzas– 10″, and though I was hungry I barely finished the salad and pizza(Sweetie had half of hers for later.) We both had Caesar salads, which were very good– shaved parm, fresh lettuce, good croutons. She had a pepperoni pizza which was very good– the slices were huge and tasty, a bit of zing but not spicy. Cheese was great, crust was good, nothing too greasy. I had the steak and gorgonzola, which had big slices of essentially roast beef, lots of cheese and caramelized onions, and their white sauce. I added broccolini, you know, for a balanced diet. Service was great– it’s really only counter service, but they were super patient and friendly, and checked on us a few times. The place is nice and open, bright, with comfy booths and good music. I’m sure we’ll be back, at least to the Easton one.

I seriously can’t think of one thing bad to say about this place. SO affordable for very high quality product. They make the crust right there and roll it out. For only 6 bucks you can get a one topping pizza. Why you would want to do that is beyond me because for just 8 you can get ALLTHETOPPINGSYOUWANT! It’s difficult not to be obnoxious with all the choices laid before you. I just chant to myself«you don’t have to get everything Mike. You can come back. Don’t be a glutton Mike.» They also have specialty pizzas to choose from if the pressure of choices is too much. While I can easily eat the whole thing you could eat half and be content and then have the rest for lunch or dinner. Or eat it in the car on the way home. Could it get any better? Why yes, they also serve beer and maybe wine.

People have really taken the chipotle model and run with it but I have to say that I’m not even mad at them lol I love Cucinova, tons of toppings and not just the usual ones either. I had a prosciutto, mushroom caramel iced onion pizza that was so good. The salads looked great at well. Croat was crispy but still soft and chewy. Will be back

I already reviewed the other location and I was equally impressed with the food. So I will just comment on this locations service. The girls on the ordering line were very polite and helpful. My pies were prepared perfectly and cooked just right. This is a good place to try.

I came to this Pizza Cucinova after having visited the Easton location for a Unilocal Elite event(see for that review), and although the set-up and décor here is very similar, I’d say that the Easton one is far superior in overall food preparation and service. To be brief, I wanted to make a customized pizza with a bit more variety in ingredients, so I repeatedly asked whoever was making my pizza to add only a small amount of toppings. Apparently, «just a tiny bit» means a giant fist-full of crushed meatballs or a mountain of shredded cheese. Ultimately, my pizza ended up resembling a Chicago-style deep-dish rather than the reasonably-topped thin-crust I was expecting. I’m not sure if they just always give the same amount of toppings regardless of customer request, or if this is literally their idea of a smaller portion(if the latter, then I’m really curious as to how ridiculously large their normal pizzas end up being). Most of the people working on making the pizzas seemed pretty grumpy too… You do get your pizza very quickly, and the restaurant itself is nicely maintained and kept clean, but otherwise, I’d much rather make the trek to the Easton location unless I’m literally getting at most 2 or 3 toppings. The combination of ingredients on my pizza was still tasty, but it was incredibly messy to eat and kept falling apart.

A good fast casual option. The format is similar to that of Bibibop or Chipotle, as you work your way through a line in which your food is custom-made for you. You can create a pizza from scratch or pick one of their creations. If you make your own, be prepared for a lot of choices, which is somewhat overwhelming, but you can’t complain that you can’t find what you want. After you’ve made your selections, it goes in the oven and is on a plate in about five minutes. My pizza was very good, certainly well above what I’d expect from a fast casual place and pretty much on par with Harvest or Bono(not quite Natalie’s, but still very good). The kicker is that it’s only eight bucks for unlimited toppings, and one pizza comfortably filled a very hungry me, so probably two normal people. Really solid quality and lots of delicious options at a budget price. Throw in that you can get draft beer or a salad and you’ve got a real winner here.

I’ve been coming here since we had a Unilocal event, and while it’s not my FAVORITE pizza FOREVER, it’s really damned tasty for fast-casual pizza. It’s 5 stars for what it is: fast-casual chain eating. This pizza is: + very inexpensive for the size and amount/quality of toppings you can get.(The pizzas haven’t gotten smaller since I started coming here, and I was just there the other day.) You can get all the different toppings you want for $ 8. You can barely get a Big Mac meal for $ 8 these days. + baked in a wood-fired oven, which is bomb. + tasty. It’s not Midwestern pizza. It’s thinner crust and wood-fired. It’s good when you have people with allergies(note: not allergies severe enough that you can’t risk any cross-contamination whatsoever, since it’s a salad-bar-type line and there is some risk of cross-contamination, and also they don’t have gluten-free options yet) because they can pick whatever they want on their individual pie. My friend can’t have nightshades or garlic, and they answered all of our questions about what’s in the food and were very nice about it. My personal fav things to get on my pizza are the garlic sauce, soppressata, and feta. Sometimes roasted broccoli. But you can basically switch it up every time if you want.

Very good quality pizza for the price. I see this place blowing up like chipotle. Great salads as well. I highly recommend this place. Fast friendly service. In a clean comfortable atmosphere. You can get whatever you want on your pizza for 8 bucks.

I was initially here for a Unilocal event and was very impressed by their pizza, salad, beer availability and cheesecake! Its a Chipotle style type of place, which is pretty cool on a day when I don’t have homemade pizza dough in the fridge and dough in the wallet to buy all those cheeses and ingredients. The downside to all-you-can-add ingredients is that if your greedy eyes get the best of you and you load on too much, your pizza becomes a goopy mess… Quality wise, I would say the crust is pretty good and the ingredients are fair. I like that they have many toppings and cheeses. Only thing I would NOT choose is their eggplant without trying first because it is horribly, thirst-causing SALTY. I had to actually spit it out because I felt my blood pressure rise 5 points due to all the salt. Hopefully a one-time mistake though. Today was my third time here, and I’m sad to say I’m a bit disappointed in the size of the thing! The size of the pizza was significantly smaller than before. I wonder if its because the guy up front is not rolling/streching out the dough as much, resulting in a thicker crust but smaller diameter pizza, or they’ve simply cut down the portion from before… which makes 8 bucks/personal pizza something I need to really think about. Thing is even if the crust was thicker, my pizza was still goopy :(

I am an unabashed fan of Pizza Cucinova. I’ve never had a bad experience there and the pizza has consistently been of a quality that is higher than one might otherwise expect from its fast casual setup. After having tried a competitor with a similar concept, my respect has only increased. Fundamental to my appreciation is the emphasis on quality ingredients. Take the dough. It’s probably not the most efficient approach, but each pizza is hand-formed. That means when it comes out of the oven it has the variation in texture and shape that one would expect. The toppings are also high quality. They have good meats and fresh vegetables. The selection is also good, offering more combinations than you could possibly want. They also move pretty quickly. By the time you finish the ordering process and maybe get a drink, your pizza will be almost done. Sadly(for them) I’ve never had a wait on the front end either. I’ve been consistently surprised by that fact. Why they’re not crowded on a regular basis is beyond me. The salads have also been quite good. If there are two of you, it would be totally reasonable to split a pizza and a salad. Provided of course that you can agree on the toppings.

The restaurant is very clean and inviting. I wish I could say the same about the staff. I had never been to this place before and I was given a blank stare when I walked in. Not sure if this is the norm but this was my experience. The pizza was good but I would say lean on the variety of toppings and was surprisingly a lot greasier than I thought it would be. I prefer Blaze pizza.

I can’t believe I’ve never visited this place! I love the build-your-own style restaurants like Chipotle and Piada. Now they have one for my favorite food, pizza! They actually serve wine and beer here as well. I’m not much of a drinker, but I know for many others this is a big plus. For a 10″ pizza, the ingredients were actually very light. So it’s very easy to eat a 10″ all by yourself without feeling like you can’t stand straight afterwards.

I was just here at the beginning of the week(for an Elite event), so when my friend was craving a pizza(she just got home rom China for summer break), this fabulous joint came to mind. Positives? Love the concept! Love the simple décor. Plenty of space! Love the toppings! Love the customer service! Love the price point! An 800‑1000 degree fire cooks these suckers. There’s always a person working, and their only job is to constantly rotate the pizzas. I honestly have no «negatives» to add!

It’s a nice location, there’s an open parking lot, and great employees. The employees were welcoming as I walked through the door and there was a guy playing his guitar for all the customers. I assume this is something they do once a week, didn’t mind the music. There is a wide selection of ingredients, similar to Blaze, a chipotle style ordering line. You can make your own or order one of their specials, I decided to make my own. They have a giant oven, cooked my pizza in about less than 10 minutes. Ordered a beer as well. As for the pizza, it was thin and about the size of a personal pizza. Enough to fill you up if you’re not sharing. In the end the pizza was average, didn’t really stand out in flavor compared to other pizzas I’ve had. The price is very reasonable though, since this place is new, I assume they’ll be growing and evolving so I expect them to get better in the future.

I live right near this place, so it’s hard not to like it. I love the concept, I just think they need to work on the details a bit more. For example, I wish they offered whole wheat and gluten free crusts to accommodate more customers. The quality of the ingredients seems pretty good, everything is fresh, but for some reason the quality of the end product is just average. Maybe I’m just terrible at combining ingredients on pizzas, but they always seem to be falling apart, the crust is super thin, and there’s something off about the taste of the sauce. None of these things stop me from coming here though, because the price is just right for a pizza dinner for 1. And the fact that I can walk there might also be a factor… But I hope this place continues to evolve in the coming months/years and grows into a larger chain

I don’t understand the pizza craving, but apparently the people I’ve picked to date have them fairly regularly. We dropped by here midafternoon on a Sunday, and it was pretty much empty(which is great because neither of us is great with making choices… and this kind of restaurant is all about choices). I ended up with a sausage, mushroom, and artichoke pizza, and a mixed green salad courtesy of the Unilocal check-in. I thought the pizza was just«all right.» I suppose I’m not a thin crust sort of person, especially floppy thin crust. The staff were all very nice, and the food was ready quickly. The price is good, though if I want a $ 7 lunch pizza, I’m probably going to Harvest. But if you want something you can customize, pick up quickly and be on your way, this is your place.

Service was quick, and the pizzas were done in record time thanks to the style they make here(wood fired oven). I’d advise about taking anything to go though, and recommend staying to eat it in-house. Why? I think the pizza lost a lot of quality when it got cold. The dough is similar in style to a papa john’s crust, so it got tough and really chewy once it got cold. Not a great choice when you’re going to a party and bringing this. The flavors were all there and good, and everything was fresh, but the«cold measure» of the pizza wasn’t there for me.

This place is like the Chipotle/Subway of the pizza world. You walk up to the bar, tell them what kind of sauce you want and then get to pick out any and all toppings that you could ever imagine! Including Peppadews! They are these sweet little peppers that when you first taste them they’re sweet, then BAM! Just a little kick of spicy! Anyway, once you get all of your toppings($ 6 for a cheese, or $ 8 for 2+ toppings and specialty pizzas) you go to the first register and they give you your first receipt and then they send your pizza off to the oven, which is right behind the counter, and this isn’t like your grandma’s oven, these are REAL blazin’-fires-of-hell pizza ovens! Pay at the second register(confusing, I know) and have a seat and wait for them to call your name so you can run back up and grab your pizza! Their sauce is pretty tasty, their toppings are fresh and there is a lot of variety. Their crust is obviously really fresh, it’s made right in front of you! The finished dough is a perfect mix of crusty and chewy. The restaurant is really clean, bright and attractive. Sometimes parking in this location is kind of sketchy as this parking lot is shared between several other restaurants. I docked a star because on my first visit, we showed up 1.5 hours before closing and we were kind of rushed out the door. They mopped around us and closed everything up before we had even gotten our pizza. Slightly frustrating. But other than that, we loved this place!

I’m disappointed it took me so long to try Pizza Cucinova! I love the assembly line construction so I can watch them making my pizza and the fact that toppings are limitless is pretty amazing. There are so many, too! When I brought bf here, his mind was blown over all of the toppings available. He just kept staring and saying«this is fucking awesome. fucking awesome, Emma.» The first time I went I was a little overwhelmed and stuck with 3 toppings. The second time I was more adventurous, but I have to admit I kind of liked the simplicity of my first order. Currently it’s $ 5 for a cheese pizza, $ 6 for 2 toppings and $ 8 for as many as you want to pile on. They also offer some $ 8 pre-designed pizzas if you are stressing over choosing your own. Pizzas are around 10″ and ready in like, 3 minutes — can’t beat that. They offer side salads($ 4-$ 5ORFREE with a Unilocal check in. Holler!). I’ve had the Mediterranean with Lemon Vinaigrette and the Mixed Greens with Ranch. The salads were good, but I wasn’t super crazy about their dressings. They definitely aren’t bad, just not remarkably good. The environment was bright, clean, modern and relaxed. They had TVs showing some sporting events, though it didn’t seem like the kind of place you’d come for a game. While it was calm and on the quiet side, this would still be a super great place to bring kids(I can only imagine the excitement of a child designing their own pizza). Plus, there’s beer & wine for Mom and Dad!
