The food here is amazing. Very flavorful. Only issue we had was the waiter. Very rude, ignored our table majority of the time & had to locate her in the resturant so we can get our check. Wasn’t satisfied with customer service at all. Would most likely do carryout next time.

Good, but overpriced. I prefer their non sushi dishes because their sushi is small and extremely expensive.

This place used to have one of my favorite Happy Hours(although it was only available on Monday & Tuesdays). It has been about a month or so since I have been there and now probably won’t be going back. The Happy Hour drink prices went up 50% and this time the martini’s were barely half full. The happy hour sushi also has gone up in price. I can understand raising the prices slightly but 50%?? It wasn’t has if the sushi was unbelievabley good, but was tasty for the price. The service has always been slow, but even less tolerable with the price increase. I will be looking elsewhere for my asian happy hour fix.

Ok so I loved moshi sushi’s happy hour. Great price for some great sushi. Now it’s been a few months since I’ve been there and we went back for the happy hour. A sign on the door read new happy hour starting 10⁄19. My fiancé and I both thought something small like a few more or less rolls. We were both dead wrong. They changed the happy hour menu completely. Now they cut the menu in half and doubled the prices for happy hour. A California roll used to cost 2.00 now it’s 4. A dollar less than what it normally costs. And all of the other rolls are like that. We went there because of the great happy hour, but now we won’t be back unless it goes back to what it used to be. The food is great but not for the prices they are charging at happy hour.

Always wanted to try this place and finally got around to it. Went with my brother and fiancé. I ordered the rainbow roll, miso soup, two orders of tuna sashimi, and one order of eel sashimi. The wait for this food was very long, about 40 minutes for the sushi. The miso soup came very quickly. When the food finally arrived, I was shocked by the quite small portion size. For the price, the portions are ridiculous. The food itself was pretty good but the price was just not justifiable whatsoever. Absolutely disappointing. At least the waitress was very polite and apologized for the wait. I will probably try their pad thai for takeout sometime in the near future but if those portions are just as small then I will probably never go to this place again. Unless you have lots of money and time to waste, I would not recommend going here.

Stopped in for what I had hoped would be a quick lunch. When I was seated, there were three tables counting me. Took about 10 minutes to have order taken. I had two sushi rolls and a cup of misso soup. Soup was fast and hot, rolls were fresh but average. There appeared to be only one server working, and he was easily overwhelmed by the lunchtime rush. I get that he was hustling, but was not communicative at all about all the delays. In the time it’s taken me to write this review(10ish minutes), I’m still waiting for my bill. Total wait time for my check was 14 minutes. Other folks seated here have yet to be served, as well. Like I said, the server is hustling, and I respect that. But wish he could’ve been more communicative about what’s going on(I.e., ‘hey, we’re swamped and short staffed. I’ll be there as soon as I can…’) Average meal, not so good service. Prolly not coming back.

Had dinner here again Sunday evening, as we thought we’d give what was once one of our favorites another chance. Once again, service was slow, slow, slow. Wine was good. Cocktails so-so. Our appetizer — has been great in past — Sushi Panini — came out lukewarm. Rolls were good [although the KIM roll we had looked nothing like the picture provided.] We were there 2.5 hours — water glasses were never refilled. One of our party was about to order another cocktail, and also wanted another roll — asked the server if it would take very long, and his answer, «well, we’re packed». There were many empty tables. We left.

Your lost guys, place is busy but everyone is working in slow monition and only two chiefs in FOH A lot of take away action !!

This was a pretty nice place. There is plenty of parking across the street, which is nice as everywhere else is street parking. We went here for lunch and we beat the lunch crowd. There were only two other groups in the restaurant when we came in, four people total. We didn’t order any special drinks, just had water. My friend has a food allergy and will ask to make sure that everything is safe for him to eat, which should be the case at a sushi place. It took our server almost 10 minutes to get back to us on that, with only a few people in the place at the time. More people came in and our server got busier. We then ordered 4 easy and cheap rolls as we had somewhere to be. While the rolls were quite good, California, Philadelphia and Smoked Salmon, it took another 10 – 15 minutes for them to show up. People who came in after us were getting their food before us. Our server did apologize. She said she was new, which is fine, but it shouldn’t take 40 minutes from sitting down to walking out when there were only 4 other people in the place before us. Nice place and I wouldn’t rule out going back but I’m not hurrying there either.

Showed up for happy hour sushi on a Monday at 530. Been here many times on a Monday and looking forward to my meal. We order a drink, and the waiter tells us it will be a 45 – 60 minute wait for sushi. Or you can order off the menu. What? He said it was busy and everyone came in at 5 and ordered happy hour sushi. Wait, did you guys just open up this restaurant and this is your first happy hour? We declined and asked for the check. He said ok, have a nice day. Not in Moshi we won’t. Beware.

Moshi is our go-to restaurant if we are craving sushi and are OK with a little bit of a splurge on dinner. We found Moshi about 4 years ago in the saddest of times. We had just moved back to Cbus from the Pac NW and missing our go-to sushi restaurant there. «No place will ever be as good as [Seattle sushi restaurant]…boo hoo… sniff.» We took a chance and went to Moshi with no expectations. We left with no socks because they had been knocked off. They have so many great options. What we loved about our old sushi place is they had creative flavor combinations in their signature rolls. Moshi is right on par with those. We always start with a Kirin and the sushi panini which is fried sushi goodness. Spicy tuna, spicy salmon, or crab and sauce sandwiched between two fried rice cakes and cut in half so it’s perfect to eat just like a panini. The crispy tofu is delicious so we usually order that. Then there is the sushi. We try to choose different rolls each time and have yet to be disappointed. You must go there yourself to find your favorite!

I found this place by chance when taking my son for dinner the night he left for the Army. Fantastic food! Some of the best sushi I’ve had. You can see the kitchen, it looks to be the size of a closet. This makes the food coming out a little slow, but it is well worth the wait.

We had a nice dinner at Moshi last Thursday in downtown Bexley. I’ve had this place bookmarked for awhile, but it never struck me as a lunch place, so I put it off until I could find a time with the girlfriend to check it out. At 7:15ish on a Thursday, it was pretty packed, but we were able to get a seat in the back corner. The place doesn’t have that many tables, but it looks like they have a nice patio come Spring and Summer time. Our server was in training, but she was on top of things and very nice. We ended up starting off with the Moshi Asian Pockets, which are essentially potstickers, and they were nice and crispy with a very tasty sauce. For our main course, we split a PT, Jimbo, and spicy tuna roll, and they were all delicious. The PT was probably our favorite with the panko white fish, but the Jimbo had baked Yellowtail on top and was dressed in a Thai spicy sauce that was almost as fantastic. Along with the rolls, I ordered sea urchin nigiri and striped bass shahimi. I hadn’t had sea urchin before, and it really didn’t do much for me. The texture is very creamy, but I didn’t really get much taste to it. The bass was pretty solid, and I probably could have eaten a few more pieces. On a side note: The men’s bathroom is a single bathroom, and the lock doesn’t work, so that should probably be addressed. A minor gripe in an otherwise great experience. The specialty rolls are a pretty pricey in comparison to other sushi restaurants around Columbus, but the quality is there. This probably won’t be a regular spot for us, since it’s on the other side of town, but we’ll definitely be back if we’re looking to have a nice sushi date night.

Overall I liked Moshi but ran into some problems. First, their happy hour is very popular and the place is packed during that period. I made a reservation for 6:30 to avoid the big crowd but they were still packed. Good for Moshi. I’m sincerely glad they’re so busy. However, it was very loud and it took them a while to recover after the happy hour crowd left. When I called for a reservation I asked if they had gluten free options. The person assured me that they do and stated that they even offer GF soy sauce. We ordered the sashimi combo dinner along with the Pad Thai soup and I again asked if everything that we ordered is gluten free. Our waitress told us that the sushi rice is not because of the type of vinegar that they use. Glad I asked. This could have caused some real problems for my GF dinner partner. She didn’t offer any options but I asked someone else if they had steamed(not sushi) rice they said it was available, so we ordered that. The Pad Thai soup is gluten free and includes rice noodles. The 2 other diners with us had the Blackened Miso Cod and the Moshi Combo, which included both sushi and sashimi. Service in general was very slow and they seemed to be understaffed for the volume of customers that were seated. Our server said that we would have to wait about 30 minutes for our sashimi and sushi because they were backed up. We weren’t in a hurry and enjoyed the Pad Thai soup while waiting. We had to flag our waitress down to get refills on drinks. I wanted a second plate for sharing and finally walked up to the sushi bar and asked for one. The food was all very good. The establishment is very clean. The staff was friendly but the service was poor because they seemed to be understaffed. The wait for sushi and sashimi was long. I thought it was a bit pricey. Only 1 person ordered an alcoholic drink, so I cant blame the bar tab. I’ve been to lots of sushi restaurants throughout the US and know what range of pricing to expect. I hope that their wait staff becomes more aware of food allergies and options /substitutions available. Overall I’m disappointed.

We have been happily eating at Moshi Sushi since they opened. I think they have the best lunches in town for $ 9 – 11. I ususally get the Moshi Platter with miso soup, eel roll and beef bulgogi. It’s all delicious, but the tempura is especially luscious: crisp but not greasy. The shrimp and pumpkin tempura are my favorites. We also go for dinner occasionally, and they offer a lovely menu and advice on sake pairings. At many restaurants, I love the food and then there comes a bad meal. Not Moshi Sushi: For over 5 years they have been consistently excellent! The meals are consistently tasty and well presented, and the owners and staff are very friendly. I love this place!

Now you get quality fish here. Right away when you walk in you know this isn’t your typically college sushi joint with their happy hour specials and sake bombs. If it weren’t for the sushi bar in the corner and chopsticks on the table, you might fool yourself into thinking this was a cute date-night spot as you sit by the bar waiting for your cocktail. My friends and I came here for a birthday, and we knew that if we wanted good sushi we would have to pay a higher price then what you can get at krogers. I ordered a Rainbow Roll which was small-portioned like everything else on the menu, but it sure was delicious. fresh. petite. I was done before I knew it! My friends ordered various«standard» rolls like spicy tuna and eel rolls and they commented that it was good as well, despite the small portion. If I lived closer I would definitely come for their happy hour on Monday and Tuesday(5 – 6:30?) for their half off standard rolls.

This is one of my favorite Bexley spots; I give it four stars based solely on 2 things: 1. I moved to Columbus from Los Angeles and I was spoiled by Sugarfish and 2) it’s sometimes rather slow in terms of service. However, that being said … The staff is always friendly & the restaurant is always spotless. And for fish in the Midwest, it’s really rather fresh! They have great cuts of Salmon(I always get the Salmon Nigiri) and if you like Spicy Rolls they have a great spicy tuna and spicy salmon roll. Overall, a Bexley must!

I’d probably have to say this place is my fav sushi spot. I had brought my brother along and made him a believer as well! Located right on the outskirts of Bexley, where you have parking provided across the street. This place has a friendly staff and the place is low key and somewhat dim. During the warmer seasons they offer outdoor sitting which I prefer! I always order crispy tofu and which I have to say is yummy here and the Lost treasure. Everything came out shortly after we ordered. My brother whose vegan enjoyed his avocado and vegetable rolls. I would def recommend this place but make sure to check out there hours.
