I have to admit, the burgers here are great. We just ate a couple days earlier at one of the new places in town and their burgers were good. Then we ate here again and wow! Juicy, flavorful and everything just goes together great. This place spoils you for other burgers. Wait staff is a little busy and tends to forget you though so order your beer in advance!

Wow, Bexley is fortunate to have such a wonderful establishment at their doorstep. From the moment we walked in and was greeted by Caroline, to our server Maggy, to the food and Tyler the manager doing a quality check. Fantastic!!! We had the burger, the Mahi tacos and the meatloaf. All very well prepared. Congrats, Cameron Mitchell should be proud

A nice place to enjoy a formidable beer selection along with a wide selection of food and plenty of TVs to watch your favorite team.

This is an old standby when visiting family in Bexley. Menu has lots of choices to satisfy all. Service is good and ambience is pleasant– not too noisy, but fun. Had the veggie burger which was quite tasty and friends had club sandwiches. There is parking.

Conveniently located and open late. The chicken quesadilla appetizer was not disappointing but nothing extraordinary. Overall the atmosphere is good and the food is consistent. Its becoming a staple in many columbus neighborhoods. There was some patio seating, nice for the summer.

As usual I am not disappointed. They have an entire gluten-free menu which is such an amazing thing! The servers here are so incredibly friendly, and the bathrooms are very clean. Every time I come into Columbus I come to the rusty bucket… And they never disappoint!

Waitress was super nice. Food was hot and flavorful. Service was slow. It took almost an hour from seating table to food delivery.

Heavenly salmon salad! I got it with feta instead of blue cheese. Highly recommend this salad!

The last two times I’ve been here I’ve had the exact same problem: The appetizers came to the table AFTER the main courses were served. Tonight they came out about 7 – 10 minutes after. The waitress was nice enough, but she should’ve taken the main courses back to the kitchen upon realizing the appetizers hadn’t come out yet. MYTIP: If you’re going to order an appetizer don’t order the main courses until AFTER they arrive. The appetizers are listed under«Starters» on the menu, but the irony is tastier than the food.

Decent food, decent prices. Nice large menu. Good choice when nobody can decide on the same type of food.

Don’t come here for carry-out food. We waited 40 minutes from the time we placed our order(on a slow night), and when we got our food it was cold. I ordered the blackened mahi mahi tacos and they were cold and the fish was very bland and dry. My boyfriend order the roasted chicken and it was a very small portion(that was also cold). I won’t be back.

Bucket is for the boat load they add of grease to everything on the menu! Rusty is for their customer service– staff is a little less ecstatic about your visit than what one really wants. I love their deep fried pickles but you serious have to mention less grease or you will regret it. Heart attack for sure.

Not, really. I was looking for a good medium priced restaurant in Columbus. This isn’t it. Just visiting here for a few days and staying in Bexley. I’ll try another.

It’s ok. It’s bar food. Kinda overpriced, and mostly just OK food. The torpedo is delicious(as is the buffalo chicken sandwich), the fried pickles are disappointing, but the waitress with the short blonde hair is hilarious and has a loyal following with my husband and I. So, yeah, we’re here quite a bit.

Went later in the evening to share an appetizer and drinks. Waitress was around part of the time then was hard to find when we were wanting to pay. They have satelite radio and tv in there and they lost connection. It was oddly quiet in there. To me it seems they need to be a little more attentive to their customers. My Hemingway Daquiri was fantastic along with the deep fried pickles.

Went in on an early Tuesday afternoon in April. The weather was good and we were on our way to the last BlueJackets game os the season. My friend had a craving for their fish and chips, so we decided to avoid the Arena crowds for a good bite to eat. We had two hours to kill, so we were slow in eating. The waiter arrived within two minutes and was attentive enough, but it seemed business as usual. No moments of exceptional service. We ordered quesadillas and wings as appetizers and two Blue Moon drafts. Our meal orders included fish and chips and a Reuben. Everything arrived in the appropriate time. They ended up not having the Blue Moon, so we ordered substitutes: drinks in under 5, appetizers in under 10 and food under 20. The appetizers were on par with what you’d expect. The wings were a little fleshy and came without bleu cheese or ranch. That was surprising, but we didn’t mention it to the waiter, either to give him a chance to fix it. My friend liked his Fish and Chips well enough, but I was disappointed with my Reuben — mind you, this is in a town with restaurants like Katzinger’s, Broad Street Deli, and Schmidt’s. Still, this was in the lower half of all Reubens I’ve ever eaten. Would I give them another chance? Living in Whitehall, this is the obvious choice to go whenever choosing a better dining experience. The atmosphere is always upbeat but not too upscale, comfortable yet classy. The food amost always hits the mark. Next time, I’ll try the fish and chips… because life is too short to base any dining experience on one plate of food… and life is much too short.

I came over here today for lunch and it was well worth the trip. It’s located in a beautiful newish apartment/condo place in Bexley, surrounded by some other fine restaurants. It looked familiar to me and it turns out that I ate at their sister restaurant at Polaris some time ago. Like that one, this location also had the dark wood and a smattering of TV’s. As soon as I got there, I saw a sign saying«codwich.» Well you don’t have to say that twice! I ordered it without a glance to the menu. It came on a giant bun, accompanied by frnch fries and a ramekin of really great cole slaw. The fish was cooked to a turn, as was were the fries. It was truly a graet lunch!

Called in an order on a lazy Sunday night. We got wings, which were meaty and cooked just right. Their«original» sauce is good, and has a little heat. The«Double Nickel» salad is the old 55 salad(same restaurant family) and still good. We also got the 3-side combo– good mashed potatoes, fresh broccoli, and a cucumber and tomato salad. All good. The bread pudding was great, and a lot like a cinnamon roll. Service at the bar was good; I waited awhile after arriving at the appointed time, but was met with profuse apologies and a free drink. Compared to our Ted’s experience last week– a similar carry-out order– the food here was better, if not astounding, and the overall service was better(though I can’t fault the bartender at Ted’s– he was apparently the only one actually doing anything that night.) I’ve been to other Rusty Bucket locations and never been disappointed. It’s comfort food, at a bar. Well done but nothing special. This location is right beside Jeni’s, so we’ve seen it but been drawn away by the sweets. I have a feeling we’ll be back.

I’ve found that Unilocalers have two types of three-star reviews: 1. When a place kinda sucks, but you don’t want to sound mean… or 2. When a place really IS A-OK, and you’ll probably go back often. For me, The Rusty Bucket is the latter. It isn’t spectacular, but it is homey and a really good tavern! The food is good, the drinks are good, and the service is good. And I can totally walk there from my house. All that is totally A-OK in my book.
