Julie colors my hair and she is awesome! Great client service and always makes great recommendations. Whole heartedly recommend her if you are looking for a colorist. Katlyn cuts my hair and also gives excellent client service. She has walked me through growing my hair out and with the color and cut I receive from these two, I can’t go wrong. They are the dynamic duo!

Julie is the best colorist I’ve been to! Blonde can be so hard to color correctly without damaging tour hair, but Julie does it perfectly. My hair has never been healthier, and I have Julie to thank for it! I always leave feeling beautiful :)

Julie my colorist is wonderful. She is definitely an expert in color knowledge. I never have to stress or worry about how my color will turn out. She definitely gets me and my hair.
Kiley cuts my hair she is fabulous. I have gone from pixie short hair to medium length to back to a longer pixie. At every stage she always cut and styled it on point. She has really helped me find what works and looks great for me and my lifestyle.

Kylie consistently gives me the best haircuts & highlights I’ve ever had! A great environment, everybody is friendly and accommodating! It’s listed as $$$ but I really feel like the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend nurtur & specifically Kylie!

This was my first time at this salon, and it is fabulous! I was dubious at first, as there was a last-​minute cancellation by my scheduled stylist, but they were able to fit me in the same day with someone else.
Kiley ended up being my stylist, and she is fantastic! She has a huge amount of enthusiasm for her work, and her my hair looked way better when she was done than it has in years! (I’m not a big «talker» in the chair, but she even made me feel comfortable enough to chat the whole time.)
The «stylist» level of service was very affordable, and I was surprised to learn it included a chair/​scalp massage along with either a hand/​arm massage or mini facial while my hair was being washed.
I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a new salon, whether you live in this neighborhood or not!

Having recently relocated to the area from another state I was looking for a local salon that would do a good job without breaking the bank when I found Nurtur. I was a little nervous about trying them because I’ve been by a number of times and they looked very high-​end and I was afraid that the prices would reflect that look.
I cannot tell you how pleased I am that they first were able to get me in on short notice with NO problem, immediately offered me a complimentary beverage (I chose hot tea on a very cold day) and began the whole experience with a chair massage.
My hair is not difficult to work with so I went with one of the less-​experienced stylists, Alexis, and I’m VERY glad I did. What a delight she is AND I got a fabulous cut and style… and all of this at an extremely reasonable price! I made my next appointment before I left the salon because I will definitely be returning.

I found Nurtur over a year and a half ago on a quest for a high-​quality salon without the snooty atmosphere and Nurtur fit the bill better than I ever could have anticipated.
The prices were absolutely reasonable, especially when I found out that there was a back massage and your choice of a hand/​arm massage or facial included with any cut or color. Whaaa?!
And the shampoo room! You lay down and have a mini pamper session while they wash your hair in the dark room with soothing music playing. What is going on here? What IS this place?
Before the consultation, shampoo, or cut, I was offered coffee, tea, or water while I waited and then given a tour of the entire place, including the massage rooms and mani/​pedi area. They pointed out the sunflower seed cabinets and other eco-​friendly touches found throughout. I was impressed and I hadn’t even met my stylist yet.
Since I’ve been going to Nurtur, I have had four or five different stylists, but they are all talented and friendly, and do their job well. I initially went to Nurtur because a friend had recommended John who it turns out is hilarious, laid-​back, and gives his male clients a wicked fade and female clients catwalk ready blow-​dries, and delivers on whatever style you might be looking for.
John moved to the Grandview location that opened a little while ago so I followed. The atmosphere is a lot quieter and more peaceful than the UA location but smaller meaning no shampoo beds, but they still have a great set-​up. I get the Aveda tea every time I’m there, and Stauf’s coffee down the street is hard to beat if you need a little pick-​me-​up during your visit.
You get your money’s worth and more at Nurtur and I have recommended this place countless times to my friends, co-​workers, and even people on the street I overhear looking for a new salon. Bonus: if you recommend Nurtur to your friends, just let them know you made a referral and you get a discount on their hair care products. Also worth the price.
Bottom line: Go here. Now.

BEST SALON IN COLUMBUS BY FAR!!! The stylists are friendly, attentive, and listen to their clients; some attributes which are sadly fleeting in other salons I’ve been to. Linsey, senior stylist, has been giving me the best men’s cut I’ve ever had for years now, and I wouldn’t consider going to anybody else, even if I lived hours away. Also, free tea!!!

One of the stylists who works here is unprofessional and doesn’t know the first thing about customer service or maintaining client relationships. I have been going to Aveda salons for 10+ years and I am shocked by his behavior.
Even if one of the stylists weren’t crazy, this location takes away from the Nurtur experience in my opinion. The space is too small for the salon. They attempt to make up for this detraction by offering free tea and what not, but the Aveda experience is already lost right when you walk in.
Avoid this location and go to UA, where the atmosphere is better and the employees are actually supervised.

I’ve waited to write this review. I live nearby Grandview Nurtur and the day before my daughters birthday I was desperately trying to find a local stylist who would do vintage inspired haircut and style. I had a lengthy interview with the stylist where I really emphasized that my hair had lost its curl in the back due to motherhood insanity and the thickness it was at and needed help bouncing back. The pin curls I was requesting kept getting shot down, and I expect its because of her level of confidence as a stylist. I still needed a cut and decided to get professional color for the first time. After dealing with the receptionists multiple times — first they said I would be able to book that afternoon, then not, then there was an evening spot but I had no babysitter, then a random cancelation happened an hour later that perfectly fit in the original time I wanted… Well, I ran there. I had my hair partially highlighted, which I had never before done. The cut I was hoping for in the vintage styling I had discussed with the stylist earlier in the day, wound up looking aweful and I asked for a dry cut to fix it. What I left with was no pin curls and uneven hair. I also paid a shocking price that I was not expecting and never pre-​quoted… I made it work for family pictures for my daughters birthday the following day but afterwards I wore a hat the past few months anytime I was out. What I learned from this experience is that I don’t want a salon to just take my money and not give me the service I ask for. Disappointed to say the least. And the highlights — made my hair really greasy. No matter how I washed and dried my hair. I will not be back and I even try to avoid walking by it on my daily errands.

I’ve been getting my haircuts and colors at Nurtur (first the Lane Avenue location, now Grandview) ever since I moved to Columbus three years ago. I’m pretty serious about my hair, changing the cut and color about every time I go in, and John does an amazing job. Even if you’re a little bit less daring, John will make you look good. Oh, and he does badass men’s cuts, too, so bring your boyfriend in.

So, my stylist from Lane Avenue moved to Grandview and I went with him.
This location is incredibly awesome. There are less stations here which means that you don’t feel crowded by other customers and stylists. Plus, your stylist has room to maneuver around your chair as they work. And the lighting. All the windows bring in so much natural light and the view is fabulous.
The staff is as awesome as you’d expect and my hair always looks fabulous when I walk out the door. I love the new digs.

I’ve been so excited for Nurtur to come to Grandview. I can’t say enough amazing things about the staff, management + service. I went to this location for a hair/​scalp conditioning treatment and a blowout. Things I love about it:
— You get a complementary hand/​arm or a facial upon arrival
— A hot cup of Stauf’s coffee for free
— Such a warm, gorgeous atmosphere
— Amazing location with all glass windows (3^rd and Grandview)
My hair looked great and I’m excited to have them in the neighborhood!

Everything you could ever want in a salon! The atmosphere was so modern and everyone was very friendly! I brought in a picture of exactly what color I wanted and Julie was so accommodating and gave me just what I was asking for! She spent time making sure my color was perfect and I couldn’t of imagined a better salon experience. Katlyn did my haircut and really managed to to make it look beautiful and healthy again without having to cut too much of it! This is the best salon I have ever been to and I would recommend it to anyone!
