Nice neighborhood bar. Always cold beer! Food is fantastic! Wings are the best and the sauce served with sweet potato fries is da bomb! A moth flew in my beer while waiting over a half hour for our check. The bartender was rude when we asked if we could be comped for the beer. So we left no tip. I’d go back another time but hopefully that girl is gone.

This placed closed some time ago, and has placed by the Whitney House. I miss the pub, which was always good for a hamburger and a beer. But Worthington is well served by its replacement, and the much upgraded facility.

My husband and I stumbled across this bar about 10 years ago and have been coming back ever since. It’s a tiny place with really good food. My husband gets the Pepper Burger(cheeseburger with provolone & bacon with a black pepper rim around the burger). He orders burgers pretty much wherever we go. He says that you can tell a lot about a place by their burgers. He thinks this might be his FAVORITE burger. It’s consistently good each time we visit. The prices are VERY reasonable as well. I also order the regular chesseburger(½ lb burger is pretty big for me to eat by myself, but husband is always there to help me finish). We also get a side of fries with what they call«crack sauce.» The crack sauce is not on the menu, so just ask for it. It is a weird mixture of hotsauce, vinegar, and something else. It’s hard to describe and they won’t share what is actually in it, but it is so good on the fries… and to dip your burger into. It is spicy, but spicy in a can’t stop eating it addicting kind of way. We both definitely recommend stopping at this little gem of a bar/restaurant!

Things have gone downhill since Tom left. Visited last night(sunday) with my husband as we have for the last 2 decades. Lady bartending(shoulder length dark hair) was drunk. Like she couldnt serve anyone. Kept doing more shots with customers. Kept forgetting to fulfill orders she had taken. We were there for 1 hour and half. We waited 25min and watched her before we walked up and to the bar to order more in which she came to our table and got our order again and still forgot it. Dont bother asking her for a mixed drink no clue. The redheaded cook guy in the back was new from what we were told but he seemed to have an inkling as to what the issue upfront was and was even coming out of the kitchen to help this drunken lady do her job. A first for us to see in 20 yrs. He was taking orders cleaning tables washing glasses everything but bartending to help this lady whom probably shouldnt be working a bar with such an alcohol problem. A good amount of customers left due to her inability to even bartend. One last thing the owners should def take notice too. Drunks have a hard time counting and this bartender was def past gone. I cant even fathom the money they lost. Our what should have been $ 40+ bill pepper burger extra bacon, chicken sandwich extra bacon sweet potato fries 2 sides of mayo and 5 drinks 2 of which were doubles cost us only $ 19. Less than the 2 sandwiches together. That was after it took 40 min for our second round which order was taken twice and we still had to walk up to bar and ask again and retrieve. So I guess if your looking for a drunk bartender, lousy service but good food and not in a hurry and need some humor, visit this place. Hats off to the new cook who handled this drunken bartender with finesse. Hope to see him running this place unlike the lady they left in charge. Really hope this place doesnt close due to her giving it away.

The inside of this place is super dark but the patio is perfect. Just depends what you’re in the mood for. Service: Fast and Friendly Price: a little under average since its kind of a hole in the wall bar Food: amazing. I had the mac n cheese bites and split the bacon bbq burger. It was juicy and half was just the right amount for me. I highly suggest stopping by for the friendly staff, good food, patio and you can even get your hair cut at Santarelli’s Barbershop before hand!

We were told they were well known for their burgers. My wife and I both ordered one; she with sweet potato fries, and I with Onion rings. I had ordered medium and she well done. However both came out super hot and very well done. Not much I can say about the flavor. Her fries were fresh cut and pretty tasty. The onion rings beer battered and ok. The prices were very good.

The food gets a 5. Easily. But I had to take away one star because of the service. There was only one woman(and apparently one chef) working on a Friday night, which led to really bad response time and the food taking forever. That being said… the food was incredible. Unilocal steered me to the black pepper burger, which was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Seriously. It was big & juicy, but held together through the entire meal which is rare in a pub burger. Paired it with sweet potato fries and some wings, and I left there more than satisfied. If you’re in the area and looking for the perfect dive bar, stop in here and grab a burger.

Oh O’Reilly’s. I don’t get to you as often as I know I should but I do love you. Truly. From my time of getting kicked-to-the-curb once, I found solace in your grilled cheese and comfort in your cold brews mid-afternoon while I planned my rebounding plan-of-attack. I’ve had many of times where my one buddy, whom I consider the older brother I’ve never had, and I have enjoyed Jamesons and caught up on life’s debauchery and shenanigans. This past weekend I was entertained by some dude’s «whale tale» sitting at the bar-no EFF’s given. I respect that! Everyone can come here, be themselves, enjoy a pint and do their thing. And getting back to that grilled cheese… I’m a simple gal and this is, in my opinion, THEBEST standard grilled cheese in the city. Anywho, if you’re looking for a good patio to enjoy in the summer along with interesting clientele and good bartenders, this is the place for you.

I’m going to be honest, I like a good burger and O’Reily’s can deliver on occasion but they have a tendency to overcook things. Personally, I don’t like the fact that they don’t cook burgers to order. «Food Safety» is cited as a concern. You know what, put that under-cooked food warning on the menu and let me roll the dice. If you’re using good meat it shouldn’t be a problem, right? The bar is definitely quirky. It looks sketchy from the outside and when you’re on the inside it’s like somebody turned a mobile home into a bar. They keep a decent selection of beer on hand and the staff is top notch. The crowd is mostly locals or people in the know. It’s a solid place for a no frills afternoon watching a game, or a place to have some happy hour me time. I wish this bar was in my neighborhood.

Liked. This. Place! Hungry for a burger and Unilocal led us here. Nothing fancy-schmancy, just a clean little dive bar.(«Clean» and«dive bar» can go in the same sentence, right? Yeah, they did. Twice. Okay). Very neat little comfortable space. — Other reviews have mentioned the sunken bar and the the juke box, any mention the board games near the restrooms? Super-cool! So, first impressions were suggestive it could be sketchy — definitely locals-bar-oh-cr*p-we’re-never-going-to-get-service feel; there’s only 1 person working the bar and the floor? We’re scr*w*d. Wrong! Beth did a BANGUP job.(Thank you, Beth.). She kept his soda filled like a fat kid on cake in spite of having a good number of people at the bar, a large party, and a few other tables. Each got a basic burger with cheese, fries(fresh cuts) for him, onion rings for me. Yum! — Sometimes there’s just nothing so under rated as a juicy burger with perfectly melted cheese served atop a buttery-grilled bun and neatly stacked with crisp lettuce, onions, red-ripe tomato and crunchy pickles. Not sure what I’m more enamored with: The quality of service, quaintness of the space, or the food!

I came to O-Reilly’s after hearing that they had good burgers. On a Sunday afternoon, we were one of maybe four parties in the restaurant. There were locals at the bar that seemed very engaged in conversation with the bartender. The bartender/our server did seem a bit more concerned about the regular customers experience than ours which was kind of annoying. I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries came with a very runny sauce that tasted like Frank’s Red Hot mixed with something else. The fries were pretty standard, but I could do without the sauce. My burger was well-done even though I asked for it medium. It wasn’t anything special at all. A lot of ground beef without much flavor. We ordered onion rings to share and thought they were pretty tasty. We did not get any beer or alcohol so maybe I’ll sit at the bar next time. I don’t know. It wasn’t bad. It wasn’t great. A casual place to get some decent bar food in the Clintonville area.

One of my favorites. You’re not going to find any fancy labels here but you will find a great simple patio, spicy peanuts(in shell), and GREAT bar food. Pepper Burger, BLT, and Fish & Chips are all excellent.

The magic of Clintonville continues. In my three years here, I neglected to try what I can now say is the best burger I’ve had in Columbus thus far. I’ve hit O’Reilly’s up for drizzanks – a perfectly adorable, Irishy, local«old man» bar. The bar«stools» are actually like pleather desk chairs which weirded me out the first time went. A couple weeks ago, there was reason to start drinking at 5pm so a friend and I went the closest place possible: O’Reilly’s. And then we needed to eat. PEPPERCORNBURGER, ya’ll! It’s spicy in a crusty kind of way and it’s not greasy at at all. Comes with the fixins’ of LTO, bacon, cheese and mayo on the side if that’s what you’re into. Pickle, chips or fries, too. And for like 8 bucks. So I had a little hankering for a burger tonight so I went over and had a few while I ordered«to go.» I was a little sad when my food was up because I had to leave – I may become a regular, at least for the burgers.

Maybe I’ve been spoiled. Some friends and I have been going around to different burger places once a week. After all the good reviews I expected the quality to be a little better despite their appearance. I tried the jerk burger and it was just flat out unpleasant. The first half of the burger was ok. Seemed a little underseasoned and it didn’t taste like a typical jerk dish. The meat was a little dry as well. One of the bites in the second half of the burger was a mouthful of heavy seasoning that even if I liked the flavor would’ve been awful. Very disappointed. The poppers were frozen but did taste pretty good.

Consider yourself a damn fool if you have not been to O’Reilly’s. In my defense, I didn’t know such paradise existed. The perfect«nice» dive bar. What to expect: DABESTBURGERS. [Aside: Jerk Burger. Get it. Unless you are averse to cumin.] Refuge from the dark, sin-ridden world Parking for regulars Jukebox featuring music from the 60s and 70s(!!!) What not to expect: Windows Cloth napkins Justin Bieber Brotatoes Lose track of time at O’Reilly’s. It’s totally worth it.

Ive been here a good thirty times before I started Unilocaling. Im not sure how much more I can add that hasnt already been said — food, service, drinks are all good. This place sends a boatload of nostalgic feelings at me, and it just keeps me hanging on. The smell is a stale but clean smell, not a modern smell, but rather one with history behind it, like an old book. The decorations are eclectic, some have probably been there a long time. The bar is set lower to the ground, and the bar chairs are swivel and low to the ground, so you can relax and enjoy yourself. Seriously, the chairs for me add a star alone. The regulars are a hoot, the patio is nice, and heck I even got free cake one time because the owner was recently married and had some of the celebration there. Seriously, did that just happen, free cake and a sentimental moment at cool local bar? Yes. Yes it did just happen. So stop reading and go already.

it was disappointing to see O Reillys prices go up to match the hipster restaurants that surround it. One of the things that has been refreshing is the neighborhood feel of this place. $ 10.75 for a BLT with fries on a paper plate seems a bit much.

This place is a «sleeper kitchen» with some of the nicest(but also no-nonsense) people behind the bar you could imagine, and great pricing. I live within walking distance, and my wife and I are here 2 – 3 times per week. Favorite dishes: Pepper Burger(amazing with fresh bacon) Potato Skins(not frozen) Sweet Potato Fries Buffalo Wings Grilled Bologna Sandwich Grilled Italian Chicken Salad(sounds lame but consistently fresh and consistent with high quality actually grilled chicken) I wish they would do their burgers medium rare. They are always well done but still amazing(which should tell you something). There are a lot of regulars here, but not in a way that is unwelcoming to new people. It is a bit of a dive, with a lot of the great«dive-ersity» that comes with that. Recommended.

Good local CVL pub. Nothing fancy, but serves the purpose, especially if you’re fond of slightly dank, dark, old dive bars. Also, cheap drinks and good fries(I mean that’s a marriage made in heaven, right?). People appear to like the cheeseburgers here, and I’ll report back once I try one.

It seemed like a reasonable request: «Let’s go somewhere and get a really good burger, and maybe some onion rings.» It was about 8:30 on a Friday night. «How about Johnny’s?» I replied. «It’s just down at the end of the street.» So, we packed up and drove over to Johnny’s. Finding a booth surprisingly empty, we settled in. «Hey, guys,» the always-friendly proprietor greeted us. «Just want to let you know that we’re done cooking.» It was 8:50. So, we picked our way out of Johnny’s to our car. «What about Betty’s?» We were obviously channeling self-named establishments. «That would be fine. I really liked that burger the other night.» Off, from the train track in San Margherita to the train track on the west edge of the Arena District. Clippers game was still happening, so parking was tight. Walked into Betty’s through the door to the deck and there were only 2 customers. Sat at one of the tables with the little shaded lamps and chit-chatted for awhile. After about 10 minutes, the bartender hadn’t come over, so I went to the bar to order. «We’d like 2 cheeseburgers, a Pepsi, and a Miller,» I offered. It was about 9:30. «Sorry, the kitchen is closed,» the bartender responded. Bummer. I guess the kitchen is open pretty much when Betty is there, or not at all. So, we retreated the way we came in and consulted Unilocal!when we got to the car. There MUST be a memorable burger to be had within 10 miles of us on a Friday night in the 12th largest city in the country! TOBECONTINUED

We are from Pittsburgh and we were in Columbus this past weekend for the Lisa Lampanelli show on Saturday evening. We were searching for a casual place for dinner and found O’Reilly’s Pub on Unilocal. We sat outside on the patio area and really enjoyed our experience. The service was very pleasant and fast which was appreciated since we were heading into town for the show. The food was your expected bar food but we found it to be really good. If for some reason we are ever in Columbus again we would definitely return!

I’m going to give this five stars with a caveat – if you hate smoke, this remains a smokers bar. There is no smoking inside of course, but there is an outdoor smoking area and years of indoor smokin still make it smell like stale smoke when you walk in. Of course, if you are a smoker this is a haven of unapologetic smoking where you will get no dirty looks and there is ample patio. So I’m choosing to call this a feature rather than a drawback because my friends who introduced me to O’Reillrys are smokers. However I hadn’t been here in years when I met a friend for beer the other night. We clearly arrived during the dinner rush(they hade a rep for burgers) and then it cleared out again until the night crowd came in. It’s busy without making conversation impossible, the beer is cold and reasonably prices if not of great variety, and the bar food is good – we had loaded nachos and chili cheese fries. I am not giving five stars because it has great artisanal cheese and cocktails, it’s kind of a dive bar, but it’s the best kind, with good food and service and a Friendly crowd

Burgers, fries, wings, poppers, nachos, and BEER. What’s not to like? O’Reilly’s is one of the last real neighborhood bars left in the ‘Ville. Nothing pretentious, just plenty of wood paneling, bar food, and jukebox tunes. The seats are broken in and you might have to visit a few times to find the booth or chair that suits you. Beers are straight-shooting, but they do have Four String on tap right now. I’m not quite sure how to feel about that. The wings here are big, saucy and crispy. Pair them with a big basket of fries or onion wings — *kisses fingers* Perfect bar food. They have a great selection of burgers, subs, and other sandwiches, plus daily specials — no hour-long wait necessary. Get to know and love the staff, and they will love you back. The regular customers are a hoot, too — maybe you’ll be one someday.

No frills neighborhood bar with bar food. The pepper bigger is legendary for the copious amount of black pepper on it. It gives a good burn. A digital jukebox is available inside. There is a bar area and several booths. The patio area provides a good large group gathering place. You can start a tab and keep going in for drinks or there’s someone who will come out from the bar area to clear tables and see if you need another drink.

We were craving burgers and found this place on Unilocal. We were already only a minute or so away, so it was perfect! We walk in, and it smells like smoke. Not sure if people were smoking inside or just immediately outside, but wasn’t my favorite smell to walk into. Not a big deal, though. Thankfully, it was pretty much all uphill from there. The place has an Irish theme, if you hadn’t already gathered that much from the sign and the name. As we walked in, we saw the patio had a big shamrock made out of lights. We ordered the jalapeño poppers with cream cheese to start. They were exactly what I was hoping for! I’ve always been a fan of them at Arby’s(classy, I know) and these were just like that, only crispier. Loved them! Then, I got the mushroom and onion burger and my boyfriend got the pepper burger. My boyfriend wanted his rare, but they said that they don’t really do burgers to order, but she’d ask if she had the time. The burgers came out fairly quickly. They were pretty good; huge!!! I liked mine. I wished I had gotten the sweet potato fries instead of the chips, or maybe the onion rings, though they were out of those. While we were eating, people were walking in and being greeted by name. Some people were at the bar doing black velvet shots. Not something that I’m used to seeing on a Sunday night; this is clearly an establishment that caters to locals and regulars. My boyfriend said his stomach doesn’t feel all that great today. Mine feels fine so far! If I’m going based off of the experience and the food, I’d give it 4 stars. I don’t know that we’ll be some of the aforementioned locals or regulars anytime soon, but I would imagine this is a fun place to come on certain occasions — St. Patrick’s Day should be a good time!

Small, great burgers, decent beer selection. I live so close but only visit when friends are in town and want to go. They do have an older jukebox which is neat when so many are digital these days. I will say a good stop to start or end a night with friends.
