Service and food are good. We have been twice and will return. Love the garlic yeast rolls that are served to each table. Lots of variety on the menu and the portions are very, very large. There is enough for leftovers. There is an option for smaller portions on the early bird special menu.

This was our second time. And once again, pizza was great, service was great. We ordered the brownie sundae for dessert, which we didn’t love, but overall, the dining experience was to our liking. Thanks for the great service!

This place is really great — I was so surprised! From the outside it looks like a generic faux-italian store front in a mini-mall Please don’t let that deter you!!! Their food is really great! Far better than the faux-italian you get at the Olive Garden or your faux-italian chains. Very reasonably priced as well — you can have dinner for about $ 20−25/ person Great appetizers and a wide range of entrees!

I love the pizza here and the garlic rolls. Not crazy about the pasta or appetizers but I could eat their pizza everyday. The crust is chewy, not too greasy and the sauce is perfect. The margarita pizza is wonderful. Get the pizza, skip everything else.

I have been here twice. The first time ordered pasta entrees for lunch and it was«good». Heard the pizza was great and so wanted to come back to try that. Unfortunately, it was extremely greasy and nothing special. On both visits the tables as well as the menus felt like they needed cleaned. I am a big fan of supporting local business and was disappointed in quality and service which was just fair.

Bought a Groupon for this place back in August. Glad I did! It has now become one if my family’s favorite places for pizza. Complementary garlic rolls are brought to your table upon arrival. Staff is friendly and prompt. Pizza is full of flavor!

As you walk in, it’s obvious that this place has been around for a century. But it also has an «unclean» feel to it since the tables are slightly greasy and the menus too have grease fingerprints… As much as I wanted to love it, the pizza was just okay. The dough was thin(yay), but the pizza was… wait for it… on the greasy side! It’s an okay place to grab a quick bite, but I would not recommend coming here for a special occasion or even a casual gathering. There is nothing impressive about the ambiance, service, or food. We ordered dessert, and the server brought out rock hard, frozen brownies… we asked to replace the dessert for a cheesecake, and the owner came by and did not offer to replace the dessert, but instead assured us that the brownies would be «nice and chewy» as soon as they defrosted. Awesome customer service(if you are an idiot).

Food was OK but not memorable. I liked the rolls, buttery and Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. We got two servings of the rolls because it was taking so long to be served our meal. Where I was disappointed was how long it took for use get our meal. The restaurant was busy but it just seemed extremely long to wait, possibly close to 45 minutes. The server explained they had large order of pizzas and that is why it took so long to get our food. Maybe next time I will call ahead and get a pizza to go.

The service is awful! The waitress did all she can to avoid the eye contact! I even stood up and waived to order after waiting for 20minutes. Manager came to ask for our drinks then told us the server would be with us shortly. Didn’t happen! Then he took our orders very nice guy and very polite. Through out the whole meal the waitresses didn’t even stop by our table. I am not sure if it was intentional because she served the tables who sat behind and across from us. The food is OK I have had better italian food in columbus. The dining experience and the service was awful!

More of a 3 ½ but I rounded up for Unilocal.New York style thin crust pizza with a bit of a crisp to it and slightly sweet sauce. On a scale of 1 – 10 it gets a 7 – 8 depending on the type of pizza we get. Margarta pizza, 2 side salads with house dressing, and calamari: all very good and well priced(aprox $ 30) complimentary garlic rolls are great when served fresh and no complaints with our service today. Ambience is warm and cozy and i like all the booth seating. However deducting a star because we have encountered rude service when coming in to pick up take out and the place does need some sprucing up(chipping paint, sticky booths, stained menus). They have an awesome Tuesday night pizza deal for plain cheese… if getting that i go for light on the cheese and add the garlic topping with extra pizza sauce on the side)

I’ve been to Rotelli’s about 5 or 6 times now, to include dining in and carryout. After reading most of the reviews for Rotelli’s, I would say that my experience is representative of the mixed reviews. Sometimes the service and food are great — other times, the service is not good at all, and the food unappitizing. I actually stopped going to Rotelli’s about a year or so ago when I had a bad experience with an order of Lasagna I had picked up(take out) on my way home from work one day. It was the worst meal I had ever had — and I was so disappointed. I should mention that the lasagna had always been my go-to meal at this place. But normally would have to ask for extra sauce(for some reason you would think they covet it as they rarely put much on the plate). So anyway, after taking a break from the restaurant for over a year, I decided to give it another try yesterday with coworkers. This time I ordered a calzone — and it was«eh» — not bad but not memorable. My coworker ordered the steak and cheese sandwich with fries and it looked amazing! I’m definitely going to try that next time. Positives: Rolls — love them! Could eat 5 baskets. Negatives: Service — slow! When we got there, only one other booth was occupied, they finished and left soon after we arrived. That left us as the ONLY people in the restaurant — and it STILL took forever to get our food and rarely got refills on our drinks. The staff was too busy socializing in the back apparently. If you can handle the not-so-great service, this place is worth a try. I do want to try their pizza — even though reviews are mixed, and I definitely want to try the steak and cheese sandwich. I’ll go back — but just when I’m in the right mood and have the patience needed to keep from flipping out on someone.

Don’t be fooled by the strip-mall locale. This place is pretty darn good! Sure, it’s not world-class Italian(remember the strip mall part?), but for the price, it’s definitely impressive. From an atmosphere perspective, think Buca di Beppo-meets-greasy diner. Which I’m not sure how I feel about. But alas, let’s just call a spade a spade here. When a co-worker and I came here for lunch one day, it was dead inside, which I typically consider to be foreshadowing of a sub-par menu and imminent gastrointestinal complications. However, the menu was quite robust, offering everything from your classics like lasagna, chicken parm, etc. all the way down to caprese salad and sausage & peppers(which is what I ordered). Both the caprese salad and sausage & peppers were MASSIVE in portion size. And both were quite delish. I totally ate the hell out of them. Service was super quick, but I can’t tell if that was because we were the only patrons in there or because that’s just how this place is. I’d be willing to give Rotelli’s another go… hopefully it will be a little more happenin’ next time!

Maybe Rotelli has read the poor reviews or changes cooks but we were pretty pleased yesterday. The rolls are fresh, crunchy on the outside, soft inside with loads of cheese and a bit of garlic-good start, more please. The caesar salad had the best croutons ever! Still warm and oozing butter in every bite! It is such a turn off to get a packet of croutons thrown on the table and while some might find this buttery goodness exsessive, I loved them! My favorite was the calzone while I usually really dislike rictotta, it was a perfect mix and the best calzone I have had in Columbus! The stromboli was a bit greasy from the pepperoni but they did serve a very good tomato sauce, nice and chunky where you can actually see and taste the fresh ingredients! The pizza was good and my husbands favorite part, just the right amount of toppings, thin crunchy crust in a light golden brown. they also have great daily specials and fast, friednly service. I would recommend eating here, nice simple, good quality meal at a fair price!

Service is a little slow with only four tables of customers. The menu is ok. The pizza is thin, but a doughy. I would have left it in the oven for another 5 minutes. Dining area is pleasant. Staff is polite, but not very friendly. I will try it again, but wasn’t blown away.

I’ve had a decent sampling of Rotelli’s menu and I’ve loved everything but the apple of my eye from this place is the calzone. Rotelli is one of the few places in Columbus that adds ricotta to their calzones and for me, it’s a must. I’m not a pepperoni fan but for some reason, their three cheese calzone with pepperoni is something I could eat every day. I need to order a pasta dish some time because the marina they serve for dipping on the side is also very tasty. The other items I’ve tried: –Pizza. I’m a plain cheese kinda girl and they just do it right in my opinion. the crust is chewy, the sauce is light and it seems as though they use good quality cheese. One recommendation would be to eat this in-house opposed to getting it for take out as it is substantially better when it’s super fresh out of the oven. –Calamari and fried zucchini appetizers. Both are breaded and fried nicely, served with more of that great marinara sauce on the side. Although, as with most places that serve calamari, I’d be a little bit happier if they added some sort of garlic sauce or aioli for dipping instead of the marinara. –The bread bowl salads. Oh the bread bowl salads!!! They say«healthy salads» and although I’m sure they’re not bad for you with regards to chemicals and«unknown» ingredients, I’m sure they are NOT low in fat or calories. That said, they are amazing and delicious! My old job was near Rotelli and some of my coworkers got me turned on to the place by way of their salads. I’ve had just about all the varieties and have never been disappointed. The balsamic vinaigrette is excellent and makes a great dip for the bread bowl after you’re done with the salad(there are plenty of toppings on every salad so I generally don’t put dressing on the greens). Now that we’re living over in Clintonville, I look forward to summer when my husband plays sports over at one of the parks in Gahanna so he can stop by Rotelli and pick up our dinner on his way home!

First off I didn’t think this place was a sit down place. We had ordered and had delivery when we first moved to Gahanna and it was awesome. The second was no different although we dined in this time. Ordered the all meat special pizza. The rolls looked better then they tasted but they were still very good. Only thing I didn’t like was the fact we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated when we could see there was 4 tables open. Other then that the food and service was top notch. Highly recommended cheat meal :-)

Their pizza is really delicious, good quality ingredients, lots of cheese, tasty dough. No complaints there. Their other food was just a’ight for me. The provided rolls were a bit of a letdown for me, personally. I got the chicken parm and it was really average. The small portion of pasta that came with it was pretty much the same. My take home portion sat in the fridge for a week before I threw it out, which is never a good sign. 4 stars for the pizza. 2 stars for the other food. I’ll go back and check it out again to see if this is an aberration, but I’d order the pizza again definitely.

Rotelli is a great little restaurant, and I can’t understand why there aren’t more of this little chain around. The location on Morse Road is typically pretty busy — an expansion in the Columbus market would seem natural. The restaurant basically serves fast-casual Italian food. The emphasis is on pizza and pasta, but the real winners here are the calzones and stromboli. They are as good as any I’ve had in Columbus. Also, complimentary buttery garlic rolls are served. They’re awesome and are known to lead to uneaten entrees. The joint also boasts a full bar. Don’t let Rotelli’s strip mall location fool you. It’s darn good Americanized Italian food.
