Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill

We wanted to try the new Prime Rib at Smokey Bones tonight. Unfortunately, this was not meant to be. Upon entering the restaurant we found a large number of people waiting for a table. Meanwhile, the dining room was empty save 1 or.2 tables. After waiting for about minutes for the hostess to make her appearance we decided we should scrap the mission. I have noticed in our last couple of visits that the service has been dropping off.

Sorry to say, ate there the past couple of times and seems that the food quality has gone down. Ordered the Beer can chicken and sorry to say it wasn’t worth the wait, the steak I ordered the last time was very over cooked and it looked like it was cooked with a brick on top of it. Thought I would try again last night. Pulled in didn’t seem to be that busy, young lady walked be to a booth in the back where another three or four couples were and I waited for 10 minutes for someone to come over with some water or something. Then another couple was seated across from me, where they were served water and was asked if anything else they needed. I waited another four minutes and still no one came over. Needless to say I won’t be going back any time soon.

Really 0 stars. This place has the worst service I have ever experienced. It’s slow, you can’t get your drink refilled even sitting at the bar and ask for your bill at least a half hour before you need to leave and check your glass because I’ve gotten served broken glass twice. The food is ok but so is the food at every other place in Easton. Go anywhere else. Any other place has better service.

Bad food, bad service and dirty. This place has it all. Food took almost 30 minutes to be served after we ordered and the restaurant was 20 percent full Saturday night at 7. Manager was no help and really did not even know what to say about food not being prepared as ordered or being slow. This place will likely be gone within 6 months if something dramatic does not happen.

Went after my Goddaughters graduation. Not many folks there. Server disappeared for long periods of time. Typical bar food. Got the combo appetizer. Not a lot of flavor, cheese on nachos was cold and hard.
Tried the steak salad. Flavor were good. Loved the dressing and addition of portobellos. Probably would not go back.

We stopped in for dinner at the recommendation of the clerk at the hotel where we were staying for the night. The service was friendly, but the food was awful. The salmon was too dry to be edible, the broccoli was cooked to the point of being mushy, and the «fire roasted corn“was obviously canned, not even close to tasting fresh. The beer can chicken was oddly greasy. We figured the food was pre cooked, then nuked before it was brought to our table because it arrived minutes after we ordered it. Do NOT waste your time or money here!

Only reason I came her was to write a review, thinking maybe the food was really good or something. So I ordered some $ 22 ribs thinking this probably what there famous for has to be really good. Well moments later my ribs arrived, pretty quick too.
My ribs tasted very very salty and you could tell the meat was really over cooked and tough. When the waitress walked by, she asked me if everything was ok. I told her I think their was something wrong with the ribs and they’re really tough and salty (as if someone poured a pound of salt all over them, no exaggeration). She told me those looked like St. Louis ribs and not Baby Back and immediately apologized, took my plate and brought back the right ones. I was very pleased with her professionalism and courtesy resolving the matter. (Hey we’re only human here, no big deal) The Baby Back Ribs were a lot bigger and the meat was very soft off the bone. Still you could tell it was on the smoker a little to long. 5 Stars on the staff and 2 on quality of food. I can’t believe chain food restaurants tastes like this, I actually only ate half my order.
I spent $ 30.00 so you don’t have to. Save your money for somewhere else. I don’t see this chain lasting very long at all!

We decided to visit Smokey Bones early on a Friday evening. They were not particularly busy so we were quickly seated, greeted and given our drinks. While the dining areas are nicely decorated, there was not much to be said for atmosphere.
I ordered the Tuscan Mac and Cheese — cavatappi past with four cheeses plus Asiago, sun dried tomatoes, cracked pepper and grilled sausage. The pasta was surpisingly good, creamy and well portioned. Unfortunately, they seem to run out of food items, like those aforementioned sun dried tomatoes (which could uave made the dish), often. I just wonder how they manage any dinner rush.
More than anything, I recommend their fresh donuts dipped in raspberry jelly. Delicious!
P. S. Who else finds those table game systems silly? Put your focus on the food not the tech.

Sub par bbq at expensive pricing.
There are much better places around.
The standard appetizer platter was the best thing they had.
Service was bad as well

Late night dinner with my baby, second time in a little over six months.
First time got the spinach dip and the loaded nachos. Don’t forget a beer or two.
Second time we shared a cup of loaded potato soup, pretty good. We also shared the onion rings, c ery good the breading was lite and crunchy.
I got the rubbed wings with a glass of wine. My man got a burger and a beer.

Manager made poor choice to throw food away instead of honoring a 5 off coupon that was honored for years before jan 2015. Gave my money back and reused or disposed of food. Waste of food and company money!

The service was really great. My servers name was Ashley and she was very attentive and fun. I kept it simple and ordered the chicken tenders and loaded fries. Both were great but the honey mustard was TA DIE FOR! The fast and friendly service impressed me the most. Loved it :)

Mental note to self… if you want slightly faster service do NOT go to this place when a Bucs game is on. Our server was overwhelmed with many tables including one where she stopped often to discuss the game with them.
The food is just average but having to wait for our food (plus the burger was over cooked, didn’t send it back because I didn’t want to wait any longer) plus paying $ 2.69 for a club soda has made me swear off this place. Seriously, it’s just carbonated water! Does the Co2 cost that much over plain water?

Catching up on my reviews. We popped into our local Smokey Bones for dinner after an expensive run in Lowe’s (stupid deck). We both ordered beers and then perused the menu for whatever BBQ our hearts desired.
I saw brisket on the menu and was sold. The boy waffled back and forth between a couple of different options. It should be noted that the brisket is only available after 4:30pm and they don’t have massive quantities so it might gone when you get there. In fact, I got the last portion of brisket on this night. With my brisket, I had the option of 2 sides and garlic bread… I went with mashed potatoes and baked apples. The boy ended up with a «make your own» combo with pulled pork, smoked wings and spicy sausage (also with a couple sides).
When the food came our server mentioned that I got the last portion of brisket. I looked at my plate and realized I didn’t have any apples. The boy ordered apples and he got his apples. When our server came back, I inquired about my apples and she said that they had run out of those as well and, at that point, asked if I would like something else. I politely refused… although, it would have been nice to know that they were out when the food arrived.
Anyway, the brisket was lovely. It could have been a little smokier but it was so dang tender. I didn’t need a knife! I don’t know if it’s always this good but, if it is, this is some of the best brisket in town. The boy was pleased with his choices (mostly), he loved the pulled pork but was bit disappointed in the sausage. It was okay but not spicy at all.
All-​in-​all, this is a decent chain for BBQ. The drink specials are good and the prices/​portions are decent. We’ll probably be back.

My husband, kids and I go here all the time. The food is consistently good (my husband LOVES their smoked wings and I LOVE their strawberry chicken salad). The service is hit or miss. Most of the wait staff is pretty good, however, there is a gentleman there (I think his name is Joe – white guy not from around here) that is an exceptional PRICK! Other than him though, we’ve had pretty good service.
**I will say their chocolate cake w/​ice crème & donuts are magnificent!

45 minute wait. ½ of the restaurant has tables open. They said it was due to the kitchen being backed up. I say poor management.
Update: only waited 15 minutes. Am happy once again.

Food is good, that’s why we are here. But we have just been told there is a 45 min wait! But half the tables in the dining room are empty! What gives? 45 minutes! And 75 open seats?

Love the brisket! love the bbq chicken, mac & cheese and cole slaw! and i cant forget the mango lemonade. i was really craving some down home bbq that day and i was truly satisified!!!

Food not consistent
The interesting thing about this review is if I were to have made it after my first visit this would be an easy 5. I went several years ago during college football season and they had unlimited ribs platter available. I ate ribs that day until I was going to burst and they were all good. The meat was falling of the bone and the sauce was great.
Unfortunately I have gone back and the experience was lacking. I have had overcooked ribs on another visit which was a let down. So to balance the let down and the fantastic visit i’m putting the rating as a-​ok. Maybe the next time I try them they will sway me yet again, their food certainly has the capability

Came here with my BF for the first time a few weeks ago. He’s a pretty big fan of the place so I thought I should try it.
As far as the food goes, it’s actually really good. And pretty reasonably priced. I would’ve given the place a 4 if it wasn’t for the service. Our waitress managed to mess up both our drinks, one of my sides and his entrée. She also didn’t give me the sauce I wanted on my entrée, but it ended up being good anyway so, whatever I guess. She was basically incredibly inattentive and didn’t seem to make any effort to be better. It was a Saturday night, but we were there fairly late — definitely after any sort of dinner rush.
Anyhow, I’d be willing to go there are — especially another location — because there were so many good looking things on the menu I didn’t get to try. Hopefully I will get better service next time!
