I’m not very pleased with this restaurant in lancaster oh… we went to steak and shake for breakfast. Our waitress did not even ask if we wanted breakfast or lunch, hence we just got lunch menu. .halfway through the meal I asked to put 3 milkshakes on a separate check. then I had to wait forever to get them. we where already done paid and still waited. So yes I’m displeased and won’t go there for a long time.

1 Star only because I can’t give Zero’s. Had double steak burger and it would only be eatin’ again if it were the last meal in my reach.

How have I not reviewed this? Sweetie and I used to go here a lot– like, every week or two. It is open late, and when we worked the same hours it was handy on the way home. Now it’s a once-in-a-while, no-other-options stop. It’s Steak and Shake, so there aren’t many surprises. It’s cheap, average food, busy during the day and open to all kinds of weirdness at night. The burgers are meh, and since those are their specialty you have to wonder… I usually get something else, like chicken fingers or chili, and I’ve never had anything awful but also never had anything I can’t wait to have again. Sweetie likes the cheese fries, and their fries are thin and crispy. Service at this location is, to be charitable, disorganized. I don’t know if they’re all kids, or management doesn’t care, or what, but things are slowwww. And I have never gotten a completely accurate order. Last night I got cheese fries and a burger, and there was no cheese. For the cheese fries. Hmm. Since I was there(to satisfy a certain late-night craving,) I also got something for myself. The sriracha burger seemed like a winner– feel the burn– but when I bit in, there was no burn. I lifted the bun and saw a few jalapenos and a couple of small squirts of sriracha. I guess I expected, I don’t know, flavor? A lot of sriracha? What I got was a bland, overcooked burger. Oh, well. I’ll probably be back– there aren’t many 24-hour places around here. But I will steel myself for a wait, for mistakes, and for mediocre food.

A burger and shake, how could you go wrong. Yes, it goes wrong in many ways. Upon entering I feel the grease floating in the air and see it on everything. The wait staff is always horrible but today, it was rather unexpected. It was great service. The shakes feel like I am eating a large soft serve ice cream with toppings. The fries are dry and thin. The burger was cooked on a greasy grill top and that is yum all the way. Melted cheese and colorful lettece and tomato on top. That is why this place gets 2 stars. Not a fan but this isn’t my idea of a good meal either. My 13 year old son enjoys it occasionally which brings me randomly here.

Sooooooooooooooooo dirty!!! My son & I walked in yesterday around 7:30pm. After some hard core shopping at Easton we needed a shake! We walked in and the first thing I noticed was that they were not busy but had hardly any clean tables. Stacks and stacks of dishes and trash littered the tables(EWWWWW). We get seated at 1 of the very few clean tables. The server was very nice and took our order promptly. He even brought us waters without us having to ask. When the shakes arrive he asked who had which, the only thing was is that he confused the shakes. The one he said was the Snickers Shake was actually the Reese’s Peanut Butter Shake and vice versa and because my son is a germaphobe, once I took a drink & realized they were confuses he wasn’t switching because I had contaminated the shake. Even though the Snicker Shake was good, I am a die hard peanut butter fan and was sad I couldn’t drink my Reese’s Shake.

Went with daughter for lunch. They were surprisingly busy for a Monday afternoon at 2:00. She had the double cheese and had no complaints. I had the new Cajun double which had a good flavor(Cajun spices sprinkled on patties and top of bun). She ordered a milkshake which took 15 minutes to get. All for $ 10.00. Not bad.

The food is always good. I’ve never had an experience where the food wasn’t up to par. However, almost every single time I dine here, whether the restaurant is busy or not, the service is slow and poor. In my experience, the staff flirts with each other and socializes too much and is distracted so bills get messed up, milk shakes take 30 – 40 minutes to get and its just a hot mess. The food is consistently good though.

Joined mid day Saturday with the family. The other 6 people in the party had already ate. They transferred us to a bigger table once we showed up. Then the server disappears for 5 minutes… finally comes back and takes food and drink orders…(which food was just one sandwich and 6 milkshakes, 6 waters fyi) Then doesn’t approach the table again till after the sandwich is already delivered! Still never got the waters at all during the visit. Love the location and even though it is not a big place, the staff are never prepared and act like they can not handle it. The food is good and cheap. But it does not make up for the poor service.

What can I say? this is another Steak ‘n Shake. Best thing about these places are their milkshakes, which literally take FOREVER to get. This location is right on the outside of the Easton loop, located next to Donatos at Morse Crossing. The inside is still somewhat crowded, as if they expect the cram more people in there than what capacity is. Their food is okay at best — nothing exciting to gush about. Best thing is their milkshakes! But the problem is that it takes so long to get them. We got and ate our entire meals before milkshakes even showed up at the table. Their price is pretty affordable, which is the only plus.

We were here from breakfast on Sunday, Nevada was our server. She did a god job but our table was dirty. I came back Monday morning, 6:30am. there was one guy there, the tables, floor were a mess. He let me stand at the door for a couple minutes while no one else was there. I said are you the only one here, he said well… um…the managers around somewhere but im not sure where. I said, OK, see ya later. If you say your open, BEOPEN, BEPREPAIRED

I was forced to go here. I did not want anything that they had. I couldn’t believe I was ordering a salad but I was… I did not want to write a review for Steak ‘n Shake, but just a note to all the health nuts out there, if you ever HAVE to go here… THESALADAIN’T BAD!!! I got a grilled chicken salad, dressing on the side. Its simple, but everything was fresh and it was full of veggies! If I had paid 99 cents for avocado it would have been pretty awesome… So just consider the option next time!

Slowest service known to man! It took an hour and a half to get 2 burgers and fries… And the shakes came at the end, it was too hard to bring it before hand.

I dont know what’s going on with Steak & Shake recently but something gotta give! Tonight was the final straw! We drive up, order our food, pull around & pay, and as always the food comes out quickly. But this time someone forgot to make sure the top was on our milkshake. It ends up pouring all over my husband(driver) and all over my leg, not to mention all over our car. The girl who handed it to us was already gone, convenient for her. My husband pulled ahead to quickly wipe it off his pants and run inside to get a new one, leaving our food and the other shake in the car thinking he’d be right back. He goes in and walks up to the front and is greeted by some waitress, explains what happened and she went to get a manager. The manager is why I’m writing this review mind you. The ‘manager’ already hearing the issue shouted from across the room ”What do you need me for?!” So she shuffled away to go talk to the manager to explain who then rolled her eyes, sighed, and eventually made her way over to us. She went to tell us that the milkshake we brought in wasnt in fact a fresh milkshake, that the one we brought in was trash because it had paper towels in it. This is when I knew I would be writing this review. He goes on to remind her that the milkshake lid wasnt secured properly and(pointing at his shorts covered in ice cream & sprinkles) the napkins were in the shake since he needed to wipe it off his shorts before coming in. She then sighed loudly and took the milkshake over to the ‘milkshake manager’ who also seemed skeptical and pissed off that ‘how dare a costumer have an issue and think I’m going to do anything about it’ kind of attitude. We had to explain again how the lid wasnt on right and how the shake dumped all over us and our car and that we only came in so we could get a new milkshake made. He goes on to give us crap about the napkins and that he checks every item that goes out the window so there’s no way this could have happened. WTF?! !!!WTF!!! Even if he checked every single item it’s not like these things don’t happen… it’s not like I took the shake and poured it all over myself just to get a new one made. That would be stupid. That would be insane! Mind you at this point it’s been 10 mins already and we still didnt have a replacement shake. What we had were sticky hands, milkshake drenched clothes, and food in the car that was very quickly becoming ruined, not to mention a milkshake that was surely turning to liquid, and 2 of the most idiotic managers I’ve even had to deal with! Not without much(MUCH!) of a fight we finally got a replacement shake, and here I am now writing about it. — — UPDATE — — - So I wrote this before I even opened the bag. We both ordered seasoned fries($.30 additional) and both of us only got a tiny dusting on top. Usually they take the fries and coat them with which ever seasoning you’d like for a small fee. Our fries, of course, were an after thought. They filled the fry containers w//regualar fries and then dusted the very top… however, that’s where it ended. When we dumped the fries on a plate we saw that, even though we payed for seasoned fries, we only got about 5 fries that were seasoned… I payed for something I didn’t get. Now I’m really mad!

Our group sat for more than 10 mins waiting to even be greeted by a waiter… We looked by the front counter and saw 5 – 6 waiters gathered in a group enjoying laughs, completely oblivious. The food wait time was long(but we had a large group, so I understood why). One member of our group sent her order back twice because it was wrong. Our waitress was rude and clocked out mid-service(we watched her as she left). Total lack of management in front of house, he was in the back cooking. Finally he came to our table and took off the charge for that meal, as well as the charge for our milkshakes. The food was good. I got the Jamaican jerk burger & salt/vinegar fries. Could’ve used more sauce(bc it was so good); there was a pile of salt on the side of my plate beside the fries)! My husband had the taco salad w/ranch, red tortilla strips, and cheese. He liked his meal as well. Birthday cake milkshake was spot on(only minus the 2 large strips of cake pieces at the bottom)! But the service was so terrible that unfortunately we cannot ever return here.

Since mom taught me its best to say nothing at all if you don’t have anything nice to say, I will keep it short. And to be fair… I can recall one pleasant visit where the burger and service were good — but unfortunately the last couple of visits weren’t the same experience. Service is four out of five times, not just bad but«wtf is going on here» bad. Ex. I honestly think the employees have a game to see how long they can let folks stand at the door waiting to get seated(mind you — plenty of tables) as they walk around and pretend not to see… then the same game when its time to pay the check. You will at least have plenty of time to figure out what you want before your order is taken but forget refills all together. Beans in the chili on the chili cheese dog killed it for me. The floors seem to always be dirty.

I forgot how good Steak and Shake was. A perfectly good burger with hot crispy fries all for $ 4.00. If you are shopping at Easton and want to munch on an inexpensive but tasty meal, give it a try.

Every time I come here the service gets progressively worse. Today my son and I sat for 15 minutes before anyone came to get our drink order. My food wasn’t right. Our drinks came out AFTER our food(also not right). Then, I watched a waitress come to the table next to us and the woman tried to tell her that her sandwich wasn’t right and the waitress just walked away! This place needs to get it together! I will not be back.

Best diner in Easton! It’s like going back to the 80’s! It’s always busy here on the weekend but the wait for a table or service is not too long. My waitress tonight was Marisa. She was nice from start to finish. I could overhear her at another table and seems genuinely nice to everyone. It’s hardworking people like this that make me glad to come here! I would like WiFi though.

I’m basing my review on the fact that this is a fast food restaurant with wait staff. I’ve been to Steak and Shake(including this location) a few times over the years. This particular visit I made the horrible mistake of ordering the spaghetti with chili, cheese and onions(similar to what you would get at Skyline Chili). Words cannot describe how horrible it was. Some of the noodles were cold, while others were hot. Parts of the chili were code and others were hot. It was as if they stuck it in a broken microwave and didn’t heat it thoroughly. I sat there debating about whether I should send it back, complain, say something to avoid having to pay for it or get something else. But when I realized that my waitress who had made it clear she did not care about working there or providing me with any type of assistance, I just gave up and paid my bill and left. When I asked for a drink to go I quickly shot a dirty look by the waitress cashing me out. She proceeded to yell across the restaurant at my waitress and instructed her to get me a drink. Funny thing is, I had a coupon for $ 4.99 and somehow my meal came to $ 12.00(drink and a small side fries).
