What a cute place! First of all I would like to say that the service was amazing. That alone will bring me back to Till. We had the poached eggs with grits and caviar. I was skeptical at first about the caviar, but it was delicious. The dish had a very unique flavor. For dessert we ordered the house made nondairy vanilla bean gelato with blueberry compote. It was delicious! We loved how accommodating they were to gluten-free. Great experience here and we will be back.

«There were bells on a hill But I never heard them ringing No I never heard them at all TILL there was you» Till was hands down the best DINING experience I’ve had in Columbus. It was so obvious the care and thought that was put into the menu.

A few months ago we ate at Till on a Sunday. We had amazing service and fantastic food. We raved about our experience and promoted the restaurant on all of our social media accounts. We throughly enjoyed the shrub drinks, French toast, and most of all the beignets. In addition, our server was personable and extremely helpful with the menu. Leaving on such a positive note we had already made plans to go back to Till the next time we were in Columbus. I rate Till at 3 stars because of our second experience. We flew in from Dallas to see a family member and we were so excited to get to go to Till again. This Sunday we sat down at a table and were not given menus until 10 minutes after, but didn’t let it get to us because we knew the wait would be worth it. Our server greeted us, didn’t ask for drinks or anything, but did state that they were out of French toast. This was kind of a bummer, but we sure there were other items on the menu that would be fantastic. We asked her if they at least had beignets and she said, «no not now.» After she saw our facial expressions she did offer to go check for us, which I can appreciate. She came back from the kitchen, walked right passed our table, didn’t bother to say anything and started folding napkins. After another 5 minutes of waiting I finally go up and asked if she had found out. She said, «they said no.» So I asked her if there was a reason she bypassed our table and didn’t manage to let us know. She just said, «oh, sorry.» and continued doing her side work. After 20 minutes of being at Till we still hadn’t been offered drinks, felt like we were an inconvenience, and were not going to get either of the two items we were really looking forward to… So we decided to leave. I write this review as a former server who feels that despite being out of our favorite food items, you had customers who were still willing to eat at the establishment, but the bad customer service ruined the experience. I am sure we will try Till again and hope that this was just an off day, but I do want to write this review and acknowledge poor customer service. I will leave this review on a positive note and will reiterate that the food and drinks at Till are amazing.

Look, the food here is great. There’s no argument there from me. I’ve had the pizza, the burger, salads, a crostini, cocktails, all fantastic. But the front of house timing just really throws a wrench in it for me. On two separate occasions, I’ve been seated more than an hour after my reservation time. At that point, just don’t accept reservations! I get it, they’re super small, can’t really control table turnover, and the food they cook takes time. It’s just really frustrating when you plan ahead, try and budget enough time for a great meal, and then have to rush, especially if you have a movie/show/other plan that has a hard start time. If they can change that or stick to their reservation schedule, this place would be absolutely fantastic.

Dining at Till on King Ave Vicky Village used to be Old King Ave Coffee shop I think. Service is top notch and cinnamon babka is great. Seinfeld doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Hayley was my server, recommended the pastrami Farro sunny side up eggs which were delicious. Coffee was potent and vital, the way I need it. Hail Till.

Till is, though pricy, fabulous. I would highly recommend it to anyone because they essentially have everything going right — not just some important aspects, but all of the major aspects that I think of as important to creating a great restaurant experience. Food — I’ve loved everything I’ve tasted at Till. The menu items are creative, perfectly flavorful, and also feel healthy(not heavy). My only critique is that the appetizer portions(while so delicious! If they have sweet poutine when you go, don’t miss it!) are slightly small, but I suppose it’s good to save room for the main dishes, whose portion sizes are generally adequate. The menu is crafted daily, though I have seen repeat items before so you can usually find something again if you loved it the last time. It’s also interesting to me how they have a balance of vegan options and meat options. I’ve had both types of dishes and both are equally flavorful, interesting, and satisfying. Last time I was there I had a lamb burger, the time before that I had a pizza — and I loved both. The drinks are also great, including the non-alcoholic mixes that they make. The shrub, a vinegar drink, is always so surprisingly amazing. Atmosphere — It simply feels good to come and stay for as long as you wish. The music is good and at the perfect level to where it sets the mood but doesn’t distract in any way from conversation. The lighting is dim with soft lamps and burning candles. The architecture of the building has character. The furniture is simple and lovely. Generally, I come and my party stays for quite a while because we get lost in the experience of simply being there — which, to me, is perfect. Service — Very friendly, very attentive, and non-intrusive or judgmental. I also have to note that the wait staff and the chef work closely together, which makes the entire experience better. The last time I was there, I had a wonderful experience: someone in my party wasn’t fond of the dessert options(there were only two — vegan mud pie and beignets with coffee ice cream — both incredible!). She asked the waitress if she could just have some ice cream with something on it — deviating from the menu. Instead of receiving any hesitation or attitude, the waitress worked with her to find a wonderful topping(fruit purée!) and get her just what she wanted even though it wasn’t on the menu. The chef also made sure to know if we minded waiting, because the beignets would take longer to cook than the simpler ice cream and mud pie desserts, since they are made fresh. The fact that the chef was concerned about this, I think, is indicative of the attention to detail and the emphasis on quality that embodies Till. Go :)

If you want to eat food that makes you happy, come here. Talented chef and simple flavors done extremely well. I’m still having a hard time understanding why this place isn’t packed all day every day. Loved it for brunch and will be back for din.

Best meal I’ve had since moving to Columbus a year ago. Strongly recommend the deviled eggs with Wasabi caviar and the vegan sweet potato and mushroom gravy poutine! Yum! We will definitely be back soon! Great spot for eating before a blue jackets game!

First time here and went with friends who raved about it. It as fine. First, let me say the bartender/mixologist is first rate and the drinks were imaginative and perfectly executed. Will go back just for a drink. The menu was shorter than we had been told but still held some nice choices. We ordered a margharita pizza and a goat cheese plate to share to start. Cheese was good but not extraordinary and there wasn’t much of it. Blueberry and blueberry compote was a nice touch. Pizza was… good. Very fresh tomato sauce but no discernible spices in it. Nice crust. My pork belly was perfectly cooked but oversalted. The sweetness of the bulgar helped balance it and the bulgar was wonderfully done. My friend’s burger was declared OK, a bit dry and not as good as the lamb he had had before. All in all a nice place and will go back, but not top-notch

Excellent home made liquor. The cocktail I had was amazing. Only downfall is that it is really pricey. Like I left because I didn’t want to spend that much.

I have never been so excited to write a review! Last night, I experienced Till, and it was nothing short of magical. My roommate and I tried it out for restaurant week, and WOW is all I can say. The chef is amazing, their mission is unique and so wholesome, and it doesn’t get much more local than this because they grow their fruits/veggies in a garden behind the restaurant. Crazy, I know. We were seated and greeted by our server who gave us a few minutes to look over the menus and then returned to answer any questions we had. I will say, some of the words on the menu can seem intimidating at first, but just ask your server and they will be more than happy to explain. I chose a goat cheese terrine for my first course(see what I mean about fancy words?), a vegetable risotto for my entrée, and a blueberry cheesecake bomb with cotton candy for dessert. My roommate went for the melon and corn gazpacho as an appetizer and the beef roast as an entrée. When the first course was brought out, I was amazed at the presentation. It was truly one of the most beautiful dishes I have ever seen. The flavors of the herbed goat cheese, apple butter made fresh from apples in their garden, a spicy mustard, and vegetables, meshed so well with the hearty toasted bread. This chef is incredibly talented and so creative; it made the meal so much fun! When our entrees came out, I was in awe again of the presentation. My risotto had a variety of summer vegetables mixed throughout, with a sweet yet savory sauce that wasn’t too heavy. There was also a slice of fried green tomato on top, topped off with a beautiful flower. So much attention to detail! At this point, we were both excited to tell our server how great everything was, and we learned a bit more about Till and how it came to be. Their logo represents a plant and an animal, and how the 2 interact. That interaction is the basis for biodynamic agriculture, which the chef is certified in. I knew nothing about biodynamic farming before Till, but now I am interested in learning more. Needless to say, this restaurant is built on local sourcing and a passion of the chef, and those are a few of my favorite things! Anyway, on to dessert. They brought out the cutest plates with their logo on them(these ceramic plates were handmade especially for the restaurant) with a spread of homemade blueberry preserves, a chocolate covered cheesecake ball, and a little pile of cotton candy. Yes, COTTONCANDY. This is the first time in my adult life I didn’t feel weird for eating cotton candy and I loved every second of it. In fact, I was ranting to our server about exactly how much I loved it, when I dropped a piece on the ground. Sad day :(but then, they earned even more points by bringing me a fresh plate of cotton candy with my check!!! I was amazed at the level of customer service, they truly care about making customers happy, and that makes me so happy! :) Finally, it was time to leave our lovely dinner and walk back to the car. Our server told us to stop by and check out the garden on our way out, so we walked around back to find a truly functional fenced-in garden! Another one of the servers heard us outside talking, and she let us come into the garden to take a walk around! She told us about how they compost a majority of leftover items from the restaurant including oyster shells and blood from the meat to feed the plants, and she even picked us our very own apple from the apple tree to take home! Bottom line, I was obsessed with this entire experience and I cannot wait to go back. Oh, and they just opened a little Jewish deli/bagel place right next door(Izzy and Mo’s). Everyone should go check that out too, because I have no doubt that it’s equally as awesome :) Thank you Till for an unbelievable restaurant week experience!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Short North/Victorian Village area. The menu is designed and executed very well, though sometimes there is a disconnect between how it reads compared to what you actually get. However, I appreciate their creative wording and the difference is never alarming. Why not 5 stars. Sometimes the wait to get food is quite longer than what you would expect. Yet the last time I was in there the food came out in minutes, so it definitely depends on what you order and the particular night that you are there.(I know this is common sense). Secondly, I once ordered a featured cocktail that was so diluted me and my girlfriend agreed that we couldn’t taste any spirit at all.

While I’ve been here for quite a few dinners and happy hours, over the weekend I realized that I’ve never been to Till for brunch. So, off we went to sample its brunch wares this weekend. My friend and I ordered the beets and goat cheese with a mimosa egg; vegetarian poutine with sweet potato fries and mushroom gravy; sourdough toast; and a French press. First off, you might be asking, what is a mimosa egg? We did too! It turns out that it’s a pickled(in beet juice) hard-boiled egg that’s also been deviled. It was very tasty and went well with the beets, goat cheese, and the accompanying turnips. However, I wish there were two eggs instead of just one because the plate was very, very tiny. I’m used to bigger brunch portions(call me a Midwestern fattie), so I recommend getting another side or toast if this is going to comprise your entire meal. Next, the vegetarian poutine was everything poutine should be without the accompanying heartburn and general feeling of heaviness. Seriously, I’m considering never eating a meat-based one after eating Till’s version. My friend and I opted to add some fried eggs and the dish was lovely this way for breakfast. I do want to point out that our sides of toast were thick, perfectly toasted pieces of sourdough. They were so good that my friend declared that she didn’t even need any butter on her slices(I saw her point, but love slathering toast with butter and couldn’t deprive myself). Lastly, quick note about the coffee. Till only does French press or pour overs(or at least, that’s what I gathered from my visit). If you like a lot of coffee(e.g. you’re a two full cup-er), then you may want to order an entire French press for yourself.

I left Columbus airport and headed directly here for a late lunch. I was headed for the middle-of-nowhere, OH and wanted to have a good lunch before heading out. Why Till? Well, I found it on one of my favorite food apps(F.E.D). I trust their recommendations as they come from chefs. Till was described as a neighborhood eatery from James Beard nominated chef Magdiale Wolmark, who practices biodynamic farming for his home-grown ingredients. Till did not disappoint. I loved the discreet setting in the University District of the city. It was a quick drive from the airport and relatively easy to find. The menu is varied and creative. The bar was fully stocked with many top shelf liquor and there was an interesting wine and beer list presented. What makes this restaurant special is the freshness and quality of the ingredients. I had a bean and tomato bisque that was excellent. Simple, quality ingredients shine through. I followed with a quinoa salad with beets, broccoli, cranberries and tofu in kung pao sauce. It was flavored perfectly. And again, the excellent ingredients come through. Surprisingly, these two dishes were enough to fill me without the need for bread or anything else. This is a gem and I wish I had a place like this back in Philadelphia as well.

ok, so I’ve been coming here on and off for about 3 years and outside the first experience, all subsequent experiences have been top notch and the food is prepared really well. Every time we come here, the menu is different and even the one on the website is not exactly accurate. I love it, it’s always new and interesting food, but awesome execution every time. Today, I had the smoked trout with soft egg and potatoes. Wife had the poached egg and grits. Both were prepared really well and I think they’ve gotten the kinks out of the kitchen as it was brought out pretty quickly. High quality ingredients, excellent execution and preparation of food, and great service. I’m honestly surprised it’s not packed every time i come. but hey, i’m ok with that, because that means i get to come here often without a wait!

I was here a while ago during restaurant week and haven’t been back since, which is a shame because I literally live two blocks away. I constantly walk by this place and note that its cute, nice but still casual, and rarely crowded, the type of place I would love to go. Anyways, it was exactly as I expected. A nice restaurant experience, in a neighborhood environment. Not very crowded, no obnoxious undergrads even though its right by OSU(although that may be due to the price point). I had the lamb-burger and and my fiancé had the pork snout. Both were tasty and something I don’t get every day. The starter salads were also good. They have a nice full bar and the bartender made us some pretty strong drinks(good since I was walking home). This place IS expensive, but I think its worth it. They also treated us great even though we were there for restaurant week which is always a good sign. NB: This place has plenty of vegan/vegetarian options.

Whoops, this was a while ago! I’d hoped to get lunch here during Restaurant Week, but there was some confusion over the hours posted online. The chef offered to create a prie fixe lunch menu for us since it was a website posting error, but I’d my heart set on the lamb burger, and ordered that anyway, along with a ginger beer($ 6, eek) and splitting the poutine. The sweet potato poutine was interesting, but not something I’d order again(vegan cheese is not something I’m a fan of, apparently). The lamb burger was very good, though I couldn’t manage it without a knife and fork. The smashed potatoes on the side were great too. The patio was lovely and the service was very good(especially considering the mix up with the Restaurant Week menu). The prices are pretty steep though, so it’s not somewhere that I’ll return to very soon.

A very quaint and unassuming restaurant/bar that’s great for either a night out with friends or for a cute date with a special someone. The ambiance is also a good mix of trendy but casual. First time I came here was for drinks with a bunch of girls. I thoroughly enjoyed my Till Midnight Punch — it nicely fruity without being too sweet or overwhelming. The drink itself is also quite pretty, for those of us with visual aesthetic tastes. A few weeks later, I returned for dessert with my significant other, and we shared the Salty Caramel Mud Pie. Normally, I find caramel to be too overwhelming, but this was the perfect blend of chocolate and salted caramel. I’ll have to come back to try their food sometime, but I’ve so far been very satisfied with my experiences here.

It seems like I’ve been waiting FOREVER to get to Till. Finally, a couple girlfriends and I went for brunch, and, YUM! I’ll start by saying it is one of the most expensive brunches I’ve had. But everything was so delicious. We started with the kung pao greens, which we all shared. The perfect starter, and really had our mouths watering for more! I ordered the frittata with olives, squash, and chevre. Talk about melt-in-your-mouth! The greens and sliced potatoes on the side were the perfect accompaniments. The other ladies I was with ordered the bagel board(housemade bagel served with gravlox, and pickled onions and peppers– she loved it!) and the special that day(a house made fennel sausage served with gravy and the same sliced potatoes my dish had on the side). Everything was presented beautifully, and our server was super helpful. Oh yeah, about that– maybe it’s the thing to do, but the menu didn’t have descriptions of any of the dishes. Therefor we had to ask about pretty much every single thing. Which didn’t seem to bother our server, but it seems tedious. I like to have a description printed on the menu. I also have to give them a shout-out for the fact that they’ve had all of the ceramic dishes, pitchers, etc. handmade for Till– a very nice touch!
