Wendy’s

As another reviewer has mentioned, I have mixed feelings about this place. It is close by, the food is often decent for what you pay, and the customer service doesn’t always make me want to smash my head into a wall. While I have had to mention incidents of poor customer service or inattentiveness of kitchen staff, I also have had many good experiences here as well. So as it stands, 3 stars is where the Bethel Road Wendy’s shall remain until further notice.
Again, much of what my review would be echoes that of a previous reviewer, so not much more needs to be said here. Mediocre, but not terrible. Passable. The best part is the location, but due to hiring practices, pay, or perhaps general morale among staff… you just don’t get an outstanding experience at this Wendy’s. And why the hell can’t I pay less for a burger with no cheese? Really? I do hope this place improves in the future.

This place, 6 pm 10/​17, suffered from a lack of management. Counter food was exceptionally slow in delivery… in part because of car orders taking priority. The front waste bin was overflowing. Labor was not properly allocated. The manager was out to lunch (literally), but the problems transcend that break.
When my order was finally completed, there was an error. The correction went to the back end of the cooks line. Running out of time, requested a refund. Had to wait for the manager to return.
It’s a shame… it’s a prime location and and more effective management could make the place hum.

If I was rating the facility alone– 4 starts all the way– very clean, bright, and seems to be pretty efficient. The only problem is, why so many beans Dave?! I love the chili but would bet $ that if you got rid of ¾ths the beans… It would be soooo much better (even none at all would make me thrilled). Also, McDonald’s still wins the fries contest hands down ~

I have mixed feelings on this place. Sometimes I’ve had warm, welcoming staff, and other times the staff have looked like your run-​of-​the-​mill-​burnt-​out-​poor-​eye-​contact-​fast-​food zombie. There have been times when food has arrived quickly, but there was also one time on a Saturday evening (and it wasn’t even busy!) where food took a very long time.
Since I live in the neighborhood, Wendy’s sends coupons on a monthly basis. Some coupons are deals really meant for two people (two sandwiches, two fries, two drinks for $x), but they also have some good coupons when eating solo (buy fries and a drink, get a sandwich for free).
One of the nice things about this Wendy’s is that it shares a space with its sister company, Tim Horton’s, so you can walk into the building and go to either counter and order food from each place. Tim Horton’s also has its own free wifi, so since you’re in close proximity, you can hop on their service while eating at Wendy’s.
The property is well-​maintained and clean. I haven’t used the bathrooms. Both the Wendy’s and Tim Horton’s have drive-​thrus, so just pay attention to the signage so you go through the correct one. Entering the front lot is only accessible from the westbound direction. If you are traveling eastbound, you will need to go through one of the traffic lights and use the service road to enter from the back.
As for the food itself, they have always gotten my orders correct. Food typically arrives hot; I sometimes have to remind them about condiments I’ve requested.
The one thing I would recommend is beefing up (ha ha, where’s the beef?) their customer service. Whenever I go to Chick-​Fil-​A, the staff always greet me and always offer up a «my pleasure» after I say «thank you». There are a few very polite staff at Wendy’s and I hope they spread this culture of joyful service.

Surprisingly great Wendy’s. Drive-​thru service was super fast and friendly. Our order was totally correct, despite many changes: no chives on the potato, no pickles or onion on the burgers, buffalo and honey mustard sauce, butter and sour cream. We got lots of extra sauces, the food was hot. Everything I’d want from a Wendy’s drive-​thru!
