Zaxby’s

I always like to eat at Zaxby’s mainly for one reason. Consistency, even though the prices are a little high you always get a good meal. Some places you eat have good and bad days. I have never eaten at Zaxby’s and it not taste great.

I can not in my right mind give a fast food joint a five star rating. This is by far the best chicken joint in town. The wings are great and if you like them hot they can do that real good. We have tons of chicken wing joints around here and this is still the best wings in Columbus.

This is a chicken joint with hot sauces and special Zaxby’s Sauce. I’m not really a big fan of the Zaxby’s sauce since it looks like Thousand Island with maybe some ketchup added but I do eat it. The Chicken is usually very good and traditionally has always been cooked when you order it. I miss the original Zax in Statesboro GA but the new «chain» version will have to do. The hot sauces have been tamed a little from the original recipes but are still hotter than what is usually called hot at other fast food places.
Note: The original Zaxby’s was called Zax but had to change it’s name in the mid 90’s because another company was using the Zax name. Also Zaxby’s doesn’t sell beer anymore and has fully transformed from a party spot to a family place. Oh well, so much for it’s college town roots.
